On March 25th, 2022, BBB Serving Utah and Northern Nevada requested that Bearcom Building Services, Inc. substantiate, modify, or discontinue advertising claims of Objective Superiority Claims: “BearCom is Utah's #1 commercial cleaning company.” and “UTAH'S #1 COMMERCIAL CLEANERS.” along with Superiority Claims:“Do many commercial cleaning companies in Utah know how to clean carpets? NO”, in addition with Basic Principal Claims: “Over 200+ companies are already using BearCom” that were made on their website at https://www.bearcomservices.com/commercial-carpet-cleaning/ and https://www.bearcomservices.com/
The BBB Code of Advertising states that, “The primary responsibility for truthful and non-deceptive advertising rests with the advertiser. Advertisers should be prepared to substantiate any claims or offers made before publication or broadcast and, upon request, present such substantiation promptly to the advertising medium or the Better Business Bureau.”
