I work in disability services and was working at a home 10/19/2022 from 7:00pm to 12:00am. I had a parking pass in my car and it was booted. They took almost three hours to get to me, leaving me outside in the cold. They kept telling me they sent drivers and body ever came. I was waiting outside from 12:00am until 2:45am. I was told because I had a parking pass that I shouldnt have been booted but I needed to pay them to get the boot off but I would get a refund the next day. I called them at 7:15pm 10/20/2022 to inquire. I was told that there was no refund and that I had a double violation. I was told that the resolution was for me to cut my loss and stop bothering them. I dont feel that this is a resolution. I explained to the people on the phone that I wanted to go home, I had been working for 19 hours and had to be back to work at 6:00am. They didnt care that I was stuck outside and that I had a parking pass. They made me pay, telling me that I would get a full refund with no issues but now I am down almost $80, left outside in freezing weather, and lied too. I feel cheated and I feel that all the people I talked to didnt care about me. I did not feel safe in the middle of the night out there by myself waiting for them for three hours and the best that the company can do is tell me thats too bad. I cannot believe that someone would do that to anyone. I do not feel like I should have to pay $80 because they couldnt see the pass on my dash.Business response

Let's start with the facts. 1. The property where the vehicle was booted requires that every vehicle on the property must have a parking permit. 2. Vehicles with parking permits are not allowed to park in visitor parking. Those spaces are reserved exclusively for guests. 3. Any vehicle parked in guest parking after 11:00 PM is required to have an electronic permit. Vehicles found in guest parking without an electronic permit after 11:00 pm are booted. 4. The health care provider has been issued several parking permits for their employees. 5. Every health care worker is required to have the permit placed on their dash in front of the steering wheel and be clearly visible from outside the vehicle. 5. Any health care worker vehicle found with the permit on their dash is authorized to park in the RESERVED parking space assigned to the apartment of the person they are providing services for. 6. ****** care providers with the authorized permit are not allowed to park in guest parking.
Here's what happened. 1. The individual was parked in guest parking after 11:00 pm without an electronic permit. 2. She was supposed to be parked in the RESERVED parking space of the resident that she was providing services for. She was not. She was parked in guest parking. 3. She was supposed to have the permit properly displayed and visible from outside the vehicle. She did not. We have photos to show there was no permit visible when the vehicle was booted. 4. She states that she worked until Midnight. That means she could not have seen that her vehicle was booted until after she left her workplace sometime after midnight. 5. The credit card was processed at 1:25 am. She did not have to wait until 2:45 as she claims. 6. She states that she was waiting out in the cold. Our driver specifically asked her if she was outside the vehicle. He directed her to get into her vehicle to get out of the cold. He also suggested she wait inside the apartment she had just left. She had two suggestions by our driver to go someplace warm rather than wait outside. 7.She admits that the permit was not visible. We record all incoming and outgoing phone calls so all of her conversations with our drivers is documented. 8. She told the driver that she tossed the permit on the dash and it must have fallen off. If there is no permit visible then the vehicle is to be booted. Those are the rules of the property. 9. She states that our driver told her to just **** it up and stop bothering us. That is completely untrue. Our driver never told her that. 10. She also asserts that our driver stated that she was entitled to a full refund. That is also completely untrue. If there was a reason that she should not have been booted the boots would have been removed without cost when our driver arrived. All of our drivers have the authority to determine is someone is to have their vehicle released at no cost if the vehicle is improperly booted. 11. She claims that she should not have to pay the boot fee even though she admits that the permit was not visible. We have photos, recorded conversations and credit card receipts to prove exactly what happened.
