      This is a terrible facility do not rent a unit here unless you want random rent increases and damaged items with no resolution. Ive been renting here for about 8 months and Ive had 4 rent increases for no reason other than I had my items there too long. When you ask to speak to management they tell you they dont have a number you can speak to anyone one. This place tries to get every dollar out of you and then try to add extra fees on top of that. FIND SOMEONE WHERE ELSE.

      I reserved a storage unit at ************************************ that had a wide entrance way in a building that was supposed to have a functioning freight elevator. When I arrived, they said the unit I reserved was no longer available, and moved me to a unit with a narrow entrance way at the end of the building. The freight elevator was broken indefinitely, and the manager and assistant manager said that fixing it was going to be a big problem. Because all the people moving in and out of their units needed to share one small elevator, it took my movers over an hour to do a job that they said it typically takes them ***** minutes to do had they had access to a freight elevator. That additional hour cost me over $250 in moving costs that was not in my original quote and anticipated duration for the move.

      The building is not temperature controlled, which is bad for the top floor (3rd floor) where temperatures in the summer can exceed ************************************************* this heat.Rental rates go up at alarming rates. Rate went from $110 (intro rate 2 months) to $136 to $149 to $179 to $259 to $179 (after I called) to $207 to now $277.

      We recently moved from ************ to *******. *** and ******* and the entire staff worked with us on constant changes that were created by the movers. I encourage you if you are looking for a professional, immaculate clean facility, with storage accomodations to fit your specific needs give *** a call.

      I made my first payment but things were going downhill since then. I was unemployed and had to get car repairs. So the price ballooned to $849 since April and I couldnt afford it. I did however sent messages and called saying I was going to make a payment but they sold off the items in my unit without telling me. I was told by the manager ***** that my items were sold yesterday and they could no longer take payment. **************** told me something different.

      I am 56 years old but have a great employment background with a honors degree. I worked for Public storage a a manager winning employee bonus 9 times out of a 12 month period. I applied for a position with Extra Space Storage 3 times because they are ALWAYS hiring - I never even received an interview! They refuse to tell me why. I hope to file a discrimination charge against this company. SO UNFAIR.

      On 3/5/2025 I noticed mouse droppings in my unit and brought it up to the Manager who was extremely helpful in assisting me. Unfortunately I lost many valuable items as there was a pest infestation in my unit. Dealing with the claims department has been exhausting so much so I have an attorney involved. We are now in July and the claims department has asked me not once, not twice but a total of 10 times to provide pictures of the same items. Obviously after my attorney reviewed all emails that went to the claims adjuster and her supervisor there is enough evidence to show the pictures of all items submitted via website and via email as well as most of the receipts but the claims team has now deliberately delayed my payout. The staff inside the storage unit have been very helpful but if you ever have to deal with the claims department I suggest you avoid this storage space completely. Mind you total turn around time is 3 weeks for payout we are now at month 4 which means they already have already violated the agreement.

      This place is the worst to deal with!!! They had a pipe leak and didnt bother to call me to let me know for over two weeks!! All my belongings were ruined with mold and soaking wet. I went to bring some items and saw the mess and was horrified. Absolutely disgusting with the service.

      If I could give 0 stars I would. DO NOT use this facility. Our unit was broken into and we found out that there have been at least 2 strings of robberies with multiple units broken into. At least one set of robberies was likely an inside job. No notification of any kind was sent to us with either set of robberies. No cameras monitor the hallways inside the building and there are gaps between the units (the walls do not go to the ceiling) so that others can access your unit. This facility offered no compensation for our loss at all. Only store your belongings there if you can afford to lose them.

      I am filing a complaint about the business practices of ************* **** I rented a storage unit 1 1/2 years ago for less than $50 I was hit with a price increase within 6 months I didn't complain until I moved to a larger unit for $170 received notice the rent kept going up until it was $300 I then moved to a cheaper unit for $80 now there is another increase to $140. I haven't had the unit 90 days before the price increase. I checked online and saw an offer for the same size at lower prices. I will be moving just to much to do at this time and this business knows people don't like moving their stuff around so frequently and they take advantage of that. This IS PRICE GOUGING!!!! They have you in a vulnerable place and take advantage of that. This is unethical and predatory practices I have to agree.
