********** uses deceptive Marketing. For example, their marketing materials show a free first month for lehi but upon signing up, I was informed there is no free first month and only a discount of 80 dollars. Last time I checked, "free" means zero cost. They then pointed me to an obscure/separate webpage that has the 'discount' info after I left a negative review. Never was this 'discount' referenced or provided in their marketing to me.Sumo also markets that one 'can cancel at any time' and 'no contracts'. When I moved to cancel, they told me the 'discount' included a contract/commitment to 3 months of service before cancelation. When I signed up, the sales person tried to over charge me for the plan and I had to show them on their website the pricing for Lehi. They acted surprised and eventually conceded. - Shady business practices: As a result of network attacks, I had to switch ISPs within the first month. After calling I was informed that because I accepted a discount (which was marketed as a free first month) I was locked in to 3 months of service. I had to fight back and forth with the *** to get the plan cancel. I did tell them they could charge me. I did not say I would pay. I have signed no contracts which obligate me to three months of service and being told that I could cancel any time then being surprised with an imaginary commitment I was never informed of or agreed to in writing is completely unacceptable. My account has now been submitted to Sumo's collections department and I am being charged for a whole month of service without the discount rate (which should have been free to begin with)
