On Feb 21, 2022, we reached out to *********************, owner of Texas tiny Customs, about purchasing a food truck he had for sale on *********** He has sold it, but told us he could build us another in 3 weeks. In March, we reached out again to start the process of buying a trailer. He told us he would start on it right away, since ***** was going to be busy for him. We had many phone and text conversations where he told me he could build it in 4 weeks. On March 29, I sent over schematics. He sent over a contract with 4 designated draw dates, we signed it and sent it back and sent over our first draw of $3950. About a week later he asked for the second draw, and we sent over $6500. On ***** 16, my wife reached out for photos. He said he was out of town and would get it to us when he returned. She reached out again on the 4/21, 4/23, 4/26. He said he would touch base, but did not. She reached out on 4/27, 4/28, 4/29, 6/1. At this point we had connected with several other victims of his, creating a narrative of someone who was leaving a trail of unfulfilled customers. On 6/ 8 he told us that he had gotten into a financial dispute with a business partner but now it was fixed. He wanted to know if we wanted to pick up our trailer finished or have him finish it. He told us it could be finished in 5 days. We then asked for progress pictures or some proof. He did not get back to us. We reached out again on 6/8, 6/9, where he said he would call in the evening but he did not. He then reached out at ****pm to say he could take a call. On continued to be unavailable and does not return our calls. He apparently, per email proof provided to a fellow victim, closed the business and sold the building and accounted for 4 trailers on site - none of which are ours.
