Mr ****** **** ***** was contacted to adjust cabinet drawer glides and put a handle on my pocket door. He came out on June 15, 2023 to give an estimate of the work to be done. He wanted to do a full days work to make it worth his while. He was paid $210 as requested before starting work. He indicated he had a job to finish before he could come. He stated that he would come back when the other job was done and get started. Mr ***** returned on June 27, 2023 arriving at 11:30 am. He stated that I was being charged for travel time from Tyler and he had to stop for lunch. He did install the handle on the pocket door. He then started with the drawers in the island and said new glides would have to be ordered. He insisted I pay him before he leaves because he needed the money for his children. The parts came in on July I texted Mr ***** informing him the parts were here. On July 11, 2023 I contacted Mr ***** to see when he could come and he said maybe Sat. July15. He called and said he could not come because of his children and he would be here at 9:30 Tues. morning 8/18/23. He did not show up until 11:30 am. The parts ordered did not work and had to be returned to Lowes. He went with me to see if he could find parts there. He left by 3 PM after being given $20 for gas that he said he needed and lunch. I did not hear back from him until July 26. He refuses to refund me half the money paid and accused me of changing the plans which I did not. He was paid in good faith.
