2 starsWhile the majority of the staff here is amazing and do their jobs above and beyond I had some very unfortunate experiences while staying here for 5 days. One of my night nurses, *****, refused my pain meds for 5 hours. I was spending a last night there to make sure I could take meds orally and ***** found it appropriate to dance around my bed telling me that Im OK and I dont need pain meds. Then when my mom called and got mad at her, she pretended I had never asked. I also had issues with Dr. ** Who refused to give me any information about my diagnosis or speak to me about how I think the diagnosis makes sense since I have had lifelong issues with digestion and bowel movements. He had no concern for patient care, or making sure I was discharged with any information whatsoever about my IBS. He also was not convinced that IBS was the right diagnosis, which I find very weird. Patient relations did not care about any of this, so I hope you can see this and know that you are better off going to a different hospital.. because while most of the staff is great, these few members really dont make it worth your while. I was also being given Bentol while I was there, which made me extremely loopy and felt drunk. Not one of the nurses noticed this going on with me. I learned I felt off when I went to drive and the road was wobbling. I wish I knew anything about my diagnosis or a medication I can take instead, but there isnt even information in my discharge paperwork packet that they sent home with me. Hopefully they get their stuff together soon :) also, after realizing, Im not the only person to have a bad experience, I would like to be exact on saying, I had to argue with ***** for over five hours to get my medication that the doctor had in fact prescribed.if my mom has not called and gotten mad, she probably would have left me crying in my room all night. It was an awful experienceReview fromMark C

2 starsI have been a patient at ********** (heart ablation) and Grapevine (upper GI trouble) and received the best and most compassionate care I've had since I was a child. The technology they used on my heart was outstanding and ************* is an impressive individual. The treatment of my GI issue went the same way - very fast, ER procedure and I was home in five hours! But both times, dealing with BSW's billing department is horrible. I pay my bills, and my insurance pays as well. But BSW billing FIRST cannot get your statements right without a fight. Second, they simply DO NOT CARE.My last (and it will be my last) go around was for a $200 payment I made, but they don't show. My last communication was that "the hospital you went to, while a BSE facility, does their own billing, we cannot help with that". HOW can this be? YOU sent me the bill, they didn't, this is your internal problem, don't expect me to work hard to fix it.I can't take this anymore, I just now cancelled my GI procedure next month and am going to find an alternative doctor and hospital. Again, great medical care, but their billing people have no respect for patients.Review fromBridget N

1 starDon’t ever hurt your back and spine and have to get an mri, they will make you suffer in pain and make you out to be searching for narcotic pain killers for no reason. They will schedule a referral for “maybe a mri” in a 3 month waiting period. They will prescribe you ibuprofen and tell you to go to the er if you have pain. I’m having the worse pain of my life screaming every single day and they absolutely do not care. None of the doctors will take you seriously. Definitely wouldn’t recommend BSW doctors.Review fromJohn M

1 starI was referred to a pain management clinic within the *** medical center in round rock. I explained that for 6 weeks I could not hold my head up and my right arm had continuous numbness and tingling. I was told they could not prescribe any pain management drugs because that wasn't something they did? I was told I had to go to physical therapy before they could do any more testing (MRI). I went to therapy and very next day was admitted to emergency room with so much pain I couldn't walk or hold my head up. After being released from Emergency room and having MRI done, I was told my only future option was to go back to emergency room which I had already gone to twice (both places were very professional and helped greatly). They then scheduled a cervical epidural 10 days later, but refused to prescribe anything for pain other than a nerve blocker that after 5 weeks offered no relief.I am a 62 year old man and I have never felt invisible. This place really needs to re-evaluate there whole reason for existence. FYI- Daughter had to drive me to ****** for help since I had already spent $778 out of pocket and could not afford more emergency rooms. Stay away!Review fromViviana S

1 starSo rude. I just got out of surgery and while im in my room for the night Ive called the nurse twice and they are so **** and hung up on me while I am talking to them in a very nice way. If one dont like their job they shouldnt be working with people who are in pain and need assistance. Very very disappointed on their empathy and compassion for people who need them. They need to update there call button like metroplex so when you push it, it wont turn off unless a nurse physically comes in the room and turns it off so the patient aint waiting for an hour to see a nurse after pushing the button and believe me I understand they are very busy being rude only makes me not want to push the button even if I need them smhReview fromTrish M

5 starsI was in Temple S&W hospital from September 29th until October 8th...I had the best of the best Doctors and Nurses, Respiratory technicians...they went above and beyond what I and my family are use to when dealing with hospital staff!! I would definitely use them again if I need to!! The only thing that I saw that could be improved on was the food....ugh! If it's not carrots or mashed potatoes then it's mystery meat meatloaf...please improve the foods you serve t your hospital patients. Kudos to the nurses on the 6th floor! Ya'll are amazing!!Review fromCarla s

1 starI wish I could go lower than a 1. When I started going there it was for my hernia and problems seeing, I moved into their ** park and within 8 months, I was throwing up blood, an enlarged right Atrium, nuerological problems making me fall all the time and most of my teeth had broken off at the gum. I had every test known to gut DRs except for the easiest and most common one. H Pyloric Bacterial infection! I had reported weekly since moving into the ** Park that the showers and restrooms were not getting cleaned and in fact there was f**** in the handicapped shower under the seat for 3 months! I have plenty of photos to prove this and emails that I sent off to the manager and also to risk management. They kicked me out after I turned it into HHR. But within 3 months they had closed the ** Park Completely down and in fact put the bathrooms off limits a week after I left. The day they kicked me out I ended up in the hospital with signs of a stroke and even though they knew it was a stroke they kept me long enough that I could not get my ** back and all of my belongings. Now I find out that 3 other people from the ** park have been having long term illnesses too. When they shut the park down so fast it was a sure sign of guilt to me. I cant afford to get my mouth fixed, my hernia was never fixed nor my eyes and they collectd lots of insurance money for nothing to have been fixed.Review fromRoger C

1 star************ My husband is a disabled Veteran. He was being treated through the *********************** Program at Baylor Scott & White Health Care, ********************************, ***********, ** office.Someone in ****************** ***************************** Office neglected to get approval for an extension of care for my husband yet the office called him in for an appointment. He went to that appointment and then began to receive billing statements for that appointment. It was only then that we discovered that they had not submitted the necessary forms for extension of care. I would not recommend that any Veterans go to this office for medical care unless they have a rainy day fund with ***************** ***************************** name on the envelope. ****************** ***************************** main address is: ***************************************************. I have tried to work with his office and with the main office at Baylor ********************************************* all with no avail. Patients Beware!Review fromLinda W

1 starThe epitome of corporate medical CRUELTY!!!!!!!! The only way to communicate with them is on the phone or their online portal. Both of them are so hard to navigate that it literally takes HOURS to get any answers, and that's if you're lucky. Many times it takes DAYS. The plan info says a procedure is covered, yet they still send you a bill - sometimes the night before a procedure that's been scheduled for months, and they threaten to not let you have the procedure if you don't pay! CRUEL. And it takes MONTHS to see a doctor - I just made an appointment in August to see a dermatologist and the soonest I can see one is DECEMBER! That's not unusual either! And these are just the highlights - I don't have the emotional bandwidth to list all the ways they've screwed me over. It's too painful to recount yet again. I CAN'T WAIT FOR DECEMBER WHEN I CAN FIRE THEM AND GET ANOTHER INSURANCE COMPANY!!!!!!!!Review fromChristopher M

1 star******************* went on leave. I have a prescription I take for back pain, it is a muscle relaxer. I have a physical job and this medicine keeps me working. Well I need a refill and the doctor in the office refuses to refill the prescription until she sees me for a checkup. Ok but the first appointment is 3 months from when I call. *** called the office, *** spoken to various office staff and assistants and nurses. Ive logged into the patient portal, and everywhere I turn for help is a brick wall. These doctors who work for BSW are worthless pieces of garbage in my opinion. Absolutely no compassion, no willingness to even talk to me. Im just powerless and nobody at Baylor is willing to do anything. It makes me feel like I am absolutely disrespected as a human being. It fills me with hate that I know I am faced with a predicament for which I am so helpless and they do nothing. Choose anywhere else to get care, these people are awful human beings with zero actual professionalism or compassion.
