We bought a 35+5 gooseneck trailer new after looking at reviews seemed to be the choice and what we was looking for. Well after a few days we lost brakes 3 hours from home. We took it back from where we bought it and they couldnt figure it out so they changed the rear axle and was fixed. Since then we noticed it was dog eared to the right but didnt take it back since I had to be on the road to start making money on the new trailer and truck. Well we went to ************* with a 10k load and went just fine. We was coming back empty and had a blow out to the read right tires, okay we changed it, then in ******* we had a blow out to the rear left tire at 12 midnight. At this point we had to wait tell the tire store opened to get another tire. We made it back home called to try and have this all resolved before I left again and couldnt drop it off due to the place we bought it from was busy but have tried to do what they can for us, called the manufacturer and after a few back and forth phone calls I was told I am overloading the tires which are 16 ply 17.5 on steel wheels. We looked at the trailer Saturday the 4th of may and we found a broken leaf spring so we fixed it since I was giving the feeling that we are on our own and basically didnt have no warranty. So again we pickup a load in ****** heading to ******* with 10k load on the trailer and again another blow out on the front right axle, now Im like I love never had these problems in the past and reason why I bought a new trailer so I wouldnt have these problems. Looked into the specs of the tires and they are only rated to 62mph. How would you put such a cheap tire on a well known trailer. We inspected the last tire the trailer had that came with it and it was already about to do the same. Now at this pointe we already put all new tires on the trailer, new leaf spring and had a rear axle replaced. We run the air in the tires right at 120 hot and check them every stop. When the tied blew it ripped some wiring to the running lights and front brakes which we had to fix the brakes but havent fixed the lights yet. We have lost a lot of money due to this problem and not be able to drop off and pickup loads. Would be nice if they man up and take responsibility on a product they make and keep a customer happy and safe on the roads. As of 5-13-2024 I was told that I had got approved for 2 tires which I bought 4 new ones and Gaven the receipts to show my expenses. Was told that they where sending me the 2 tires to the house. I dont want the tires, why would I want to put those back on the trailer and be scared on what can happen. I wasnt going to take this step but why do I have to go through all this and havent even made my first payment yet. This situation has cost me not only what I have done by replacing tires and parts but also jobs that I have lost.

I have a 2 year old trailer that has several weld cracks and most importantly a frame I Beam has crack completely through it. I took the trailer to a dealer for repairs under the warranty. Load Trail denied the claim saying that the damage came from dragging the trailer, which is ridiculous. Especially, on a low profile trailer manufactured 36 inches off the ground. The trailer drags on every dip and incline it comes to. They claim misuse which is completely false. I did not misuse the trailer, but when they are judge and jury on a situation, it's cost effective to deny as many claims from the customers as they can. I will be filling litigation this week for the willful disregard of their warranty.

    Business Response

    Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/08/30) */
At Load Trail Trailers we build different configurations of trailers, we have a low pro and standard deck trailers for the customer to choose from. In this case the customer selected our Low Pro model trailer which still has about 10 inches of clearance under the rear bumper.
Photos were sent in by the dealer and it could be seen that the rear bumper had been drug on the ground to the point that it is being ripped it off. Also, parts of the double hinge assembly for the ramps have been damaged from being drug on the ground.
When the rear bumper is drug as hard as this one has been, it will take most of the weight of the tires and cause extra force to be applied to the frame of the trailer. Then pulling from the truck will also cause extreme forces applied to the trailer frame.
Load Trail can't be responsible for road conditions and the areas that the customer is pulling the trailer through. In this case the customer has admitted he has drug the trailer on multiple occasions which has resulted in the damages to the trailer. Professional drivers are responsible for finding a route that would be safe for travel and that will not cause damage to equipment or roads.

    Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/09/05) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
After making my experience public about Load Trail, I came to find this is a common practice of their business. They always shift blame to the customer in order to deny claims. If they can simply deny a claim based on idiotic assumptions, and not the poor quality of material they have sold a customer, they are selling lies. The trailer essentially does not come with a warranty. There is no reason my trailer should be cracking at nearly every seam/weld. I cannot overweight or over work the trailer per DOT regulations, so their assumptions are false. These defects were certainly not the result of the trailer dragging/scrapping the ground. I will let a judge decide this matter.
