    I have been OnDuty Pest Control customer for over 5 years. Once I cancelled my service but then I called them and gave them another try. On the phone, I made sure there is no contract or termination fee involved. I was assured. After three quarter of the service I called and told them I want to cancel. They only said that this has to be in writing. I emailed them the termination request and AFTER that, they sent me an early termination fee bill. When I called them, they said my wife has signed the contract on the first day of service and there was 12 month term written. However, they only told my wife it is only for payment information so she TRUSTED them and signed it. I even called them and asked them to finish their 1 year term service and I will pay it but they denied. So it is a trap for collecting money in a tight market without doing any service. The customer service is also very poor quality and not responsive. Many times, I mean many times, their phone is not answering and thus not clear when you can talk to them.

    I hate to say it but this company is a scam. They were supposed to provide pest services for me at our new home. The worker came out to do the job and once complete he had me sign what he described as a "work order form" just signing off on the fact he had completed the work. As it turns out (on the back side of the paper and undisclosed to me verbally) was a binding 2-year contract. Even at the time I did not know. Fast forward to the next service appointment, they came out, didn't do anything (did not remove cob webs or deal with ant hills which is part of the service). The guy was in and out in 5 minutes. Afterwards, I called to cancel because the service was subpar, and the Customer Service associate said "sure, no problem" and canceled me. A week later I received a bill for the full 2 years of service and was told I signed a binding agreement (news to me). They didn't even try to come out and correct the bad service. They just went straight to closing my account. When I contacted management, they ignored me and sent me to collections. So less than 30 days after canceling I was receiving collection calls?? I've never seen something like this. It was a true scam in every since of the word.

    This matter has resulted in litigation due to the nature of the allegations. OnDuty denies any wrongdoing and we maintain that a substantial amount of the allegations are untrue. OnDuty has on multiple occasions reached out to the customer to remedy any concerns, but the customer has not responded.

    Forgot to mention - this company loves to blame the customer (as shown in their response). Nobody has attempted to reach out to me. In fact, one could certainly argue that the fact they sent me to collections <30 days shows how little they wanted to ameliorate this situation.
