    American leak detection was hired to find a leak from our pool that was causing flooding in our side yard. They came out and called out two areas that needed repaired. We proceeded with authorizing the repair. The day of the repair they called us back and revised the estimate. We still proceeded. The leak remained. The came back out and retested. They found "another" leak in a fill line for the pool and asked for another $900+ to repair. We declined this repair and no longer used this fill line. The pool continued to leak. Mike the general manager called and set up another revisit for last Friday. The team never called and did not show up. Today they also have not called or shown up. I have emailed the office manager asking for the refund of the original $550.00 leak detection fee so we can hire another company to resolve this issue.

    We would like your help in getting our original leak detection fee of $550.00 returned. See attached invoices as proof

    Better Business Bureau:



    This letter is to inform you that Rick from American Leak Detection of Houston has agreed to refund my $550.00 to the original debit card as of the afternoon of 7/31/24. As an alternate leak detection company came onsite and found and repaired the leak. You can see the redacted invoice shared with American Leak Detection from the other provider. 

     

    This resolves my complaint, filed on 7/29/2024 and assigned ID ********.
