      We were having issues with the brick flaking off the spa into the pool. Their immediate response was at the pool was five years old and out of warranty. Truth of the matter is the pool was less than four years old but thats not an issue. Still no warranty. They said they would send someone out to give us a price to get it repaired. When he came out he told my wife that it happens a lot to that kind of stone. The water gets behind the stone and causes that. He also told her that these bad ******* made it worse. The problem I have is they didnt mention that to us when choosing the stone, and this past winter was quite mild.Once I got their quote, I did called another spa repair company. I ended up going with them for several reasons, a little less expensive and I would not have to wait the 4-6 weeks before Claffey would be able to get to it.I have several pictures shows the quality (or lack of) of Claffeys work. Some quotes from the people that repaired the spa are, on the spillway where the stone and tile meet wasnt sealed right and the water started going into the back of the stone and missing concrete and there is a lot of hollow spaces on the front of the spa they filled in with broken ********* I saw the awful work that Claffey did I sent a mail to the guy that gave us the quote and I think his supervisor. All I asked was for Claffey to reimburse me the invoice to have the work repaired, which was cheaper than their price. The supervisor replied that he sent it to corporate and they would get with me by Monday. Instead of getting back with me, they had their attorney send me a letter stating the claim was denied, and if I had any questions I needed to speak with him.A pool is a long term commitment and I would recommend not going with a company that does this awful work and will not stand behind their mistakes. All I wanted was for them to do the right thing.

      On September 14, 2019, Claffey Pools entered into a swimming pool building contract with ****** and *************************. The swimming pool was plastered on August 19, 2020. Despite the contract terms stating that the warranty start date is the plaster date, Claffey Pools agreed to extend the warranty by two months and establish the warranty date as October 20, 2020. The 12 month warranty expired on October 20, 2021 and the 36 month pool equipment warranty expired on October 20, 2023.

      The warranty claim issued to Claffey Pools was denied due to both warranty expiration and a natural stone delamination exclusion defined in the attached contract. The communication of the denial was corresponded to *************************** on April 16, 2024 from our attorney, ***********************. A copy of that correspondence will be provided.
