I bought a car from speedway motors. The car started having issues as soon as I bought it. I did inform them that the car had alot of issues. I was replacing part after part. Alot of the parts were taped together and some were melted. Then the car no longer wanted to run over 5miles and hour. Told them I was paying a car that dont run. Never did they ask to switch to another running vehicle. Always wanted me to tow the vehicle to them. I couldn't afford due to distance. But never help me. I still paid off car and still told them it wasn't running and still nothing. I was told only way to get my title is if they got their GPS tracker back. Once again I explained the car not running. I was told a mechanic would show up never did. I reached out I was told I could pick up title. I went no owner or boss was there just mechanics. Told the employee he called his boss and told me I would get my title mailed out. Still til this day no title. I paid off car in March of this year we in may.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:Hello I did a report on a car dealership. I paid off the car. I paid over 8k. I bought car it started breaking down rite away. I had to change part after part. Each part was either taped together or been to the point were parts were melted. The trunk dont open the ac dont work the car dont go over 5miles. Per hour. They alway blew my phone up for payments. Even after I told them the car is in no running conditions and I was letting them know im making payments and the car isn't running. I kept getting told to tow the car to them. I told them I live far and a tow would be very expensive for me. Not once did they offer a equal value car for replacement knowing im making payments on a non running car. I did pay off car in March and i just now received my y title because I made a report on ****** and BBB. This business hasn't only done thi to me but many others. I don't think I should be left with a 8k non running car. The lady in front office has given me hello. No matter how I would try to fixs situations she would cut me off and tell me nothing can be done. They have no workers no mechanics so its on me. Every time I go there's no workers but mechanics. But its a var dealership rite. They think because they sent me my title this should be closed. I dont think so. I have a 8k car not running and just received title after 3 months being paid off. This morning I seen they have the exact same car on their lot. Not once have they asked if we can switch or replace. But for the same darn price. They text me asking me to remove my review because they sent out my title. Look how long it took for them to send off a title. And if the lady in the front office won't be so rude and more understanding this might have not gotten this far.

This customer purchased a vehicle on 2/24/23, we were extremely flexible with the customer, we would provide payment extensions when needed, constantly reminded her to make her payments, sometimes the customer would answer, often she would not, which led her to being sent out for repossession numerous times, at least 3 times. After months of no communication the customer texts the office phone letting us know she is paying off the vehicle. ******* agreed to pick up the title from Speedway Motors on 3/19/25 & 4/10/25 and she did not. ******* comes to the dealership on 5/12 to pick up her title, but we didn't have any office staff available because it was already towards the end of the day. She leaves her address with a mechanic and follows up with Speedway Motors 5/13 to verify that the title will be mailed out, to which the office staff responded that they would mail it out withing the following days, the title was mailed out 7/8 business days from the date we received the address. We had been understaffed and haven't had staff available to make a post office run and assured her it would be mailed out which it was. we made several attempts to help the customer look into the mechanical aspect of the vehicle situation, but the customer did not have money for a tow. If the customer does not have the funds for a tow service, we cannot tow the vehicle for free. We are happy to help our customers withing reason, however we cannot provide services without compensation. Besides, the customer stated she would let us know when we could arrange the tow to have the vehicle looked at but never provided a date or time.Customer Answer

From the date purchased the vehicle I was told the car needed new motor mounts and suspension and a few more unknown issues due to them not doing a thorough inspection which was scheduled a week after the purchase to get fixed but was never looked at due to the dealer rescheduling appointments to stop by due to them working on other cars which I had multiple weeks scheduled for the repairs to be fixed and instead kept pushing the appointments away when I cant even drive the car longer than 10 minutes without it going into limp mode overs and overs again due to needing the essential repairs in order to drive I dropped it off making the necessary appointments needed and havent heard a legit update on the car or even at least a temporary car for the time being its already going on 2 months without a car and I still keep up on my payments due to the fact that Im patiently waiting for the car to be fixed but now I just like to be reimbursed for the amount of money I spent on the car not being able to use it I just need help pleaseBusiness Response

I purchased a vehicle from them I put over $900 on the down payment. The first day of the vehicle broke down on me on the highway on the way home, and the vehicle cut off while I had my children in the vehicle. The vehicle was not safe to drive at all the blinkers were out nothing was up to date to pass state inspection, the oil was leaking transmission oil was leaking majority of the vehicles on the car lot have major issues involving the engine and transmission. I had already lost over $2000 from them in the past over 6 to 8 months ago on a 2007 ***** impala I replace parts on that vehicle and vehicle messed up on me as well. I decided to give them another chance, and they screwed me for this vehicle. The vehicle had a sticker on it, stating it was not ready, and it was not to be on the road by law and they still let me drive off in the vehicle, it was definitely a death trap. I have got my lawyers involved to possibly recover all the money I lost including the money I put for parts on the vehicle on both vehicles. The car lot states they gave me plenty of time to take the vehicle so he can get worked on, but that was never the case. They always said to take it Friday. This company is bad for business and I want everyone to know before they spend there money there they finance vehicles that are not supposed to be on the road and then they turn around and expect you to take them back after you give them every single dollar you have left in your name and youre supposed to still pay on the vehicle while they work on it after the vehicle broke down, I informed the car lot they left the vehicle there for over two weeks leave in my account open with them possibly damaged my credit Im going to do everything in my power to make sure I get my money back and on top of that to make sure that someone investigates this car lot its basically highway robbery with your eyes openedInitial Complaint

Was sold a vehicle on 01/31/24 with a down payment of $2800. Vehicle caught on fire while driving only after 22 days of purchase. Tried resolving with dealership. Dealership was unable to repair vehicle and repossessed vehicle. I am seeking a refund for at least half of my down payment.Business Response

Hi, this company is a scam and generally very poorly ran. I pay my bill every month for a car that has broke down multiple times. There are so many things broken on this car that were not disclosed before i bought this car. The gas tank is corroded because they told me the wrong gas to put in the engine. The wiper fluid was not even connected to the hose. The oil in the car was black and god knows when the last oil change was. I was not explained the insurance situation at all. My plates were late from you guys and i got a ticket because of your inaptitude. After, i paid for them waited to get them for a whole month and 3 days after they already expired, i finally called them and they made them that day. This vehicle can not drive on the highway or any road with speeds over 60 mph, or it will go into limp mode. There are multiple sensors broken and missing, the battery is corroded, the suspension is shot. The drivers side seatbelt doesnt work which is illegal, and the passenger airbag does not work and the car does not meet any drivable standards.Business Response

Hello, there was a due diligence period before purchasing the vehicle for you to inspect and make sure you wanted to follow through with the purchase. It passed the test drive before you purchased the vehicle. The vehicle ran and drove fine, customer was driving the vehicle since October 1st. From the day of sale, to the day of repossession, the vehicle has been driven ***** miles by the customer. In addition, there were As-Is forms, As well as Airbag Disclosures that were signed, stating the condition of the airbags were unknown by the seller, and have not been tampered with by us. These are used vehicles, and by no means Brand NEW, however we do make sure that all vehicles are inspected to make sure they are safe to drive. It even passed a *********** Safety inspection. When purchasing a vehicle, every document that is signed is explained by the sales representative to ensure there are no questions about what they are signing. Including and especially the insurance.
