MANNY G MOTORS thanks the BBB for allowing the opportunity to respond to the complainant. ***** R ***** called our office on Friday May 30, 2025 to inform us that her vehicle would not start. I asked **** ***** where was her vehicle located and she replied back by saying that she was in *************, about 41 min to an hour drive to the location. I explained to **** ***** that we do not have an In House ************** available and she would need to refer to her Insurance for any road side assistance service but did not want to hear anything other than Manny G Motors picking up her vehicle at no charge to her. **** ***** called back on Saturday May 31, 2025 to ask if we were going to go pick up her vehicle she was explained by staff member that she would have to make the arrangements at her cost or we could provide her names of towing service companies that she could call and get pricing. She became upset and came to the lot with another male person. When **** ***** arrived at the lot it was explained to **** ***** that if her Insurance coverage did not cover the towing service or her warranty coverage didn't cover her towing service, then she would have to pay for the towing service out of pocket. She became very upset when she saw me texting as i was still communicating with Towing vendors for pricing, she got up and said that she was done and she was going to call her attorney, it was explained to her that I was texting for information of the towing she didn't want to hear any explanation other than telling me that she was going to call her attorney and that she didn't have money to pay for her towing. As per **** ***** alleging that I yelled at her is completely false. I spoke to her with a calm and professional voice as I do in every situation. I explained to **** ***** that i needed to get her vehicle back and I needed the keys to get the vehicle to fix the issue and get her back on the road with her vehicle but she will be responsible for the towing fees and will need to be paid. After some going around in circles about the towing fees **** ***** finally gave me the keys. I explained to her that one of my staff members or myself will be in contact with her once we received the vehicle at our location. Manny G Motors sent a ************** to pick up her vehicle at a cost of only $240 when other services were charging between the amounts of $375-$450.

We also were not charging her for any repairs. The warranty she was provided by Manny G Motors at no extra charge covered the cost of repairs for **** *****.

The towing is not covered by her personal insurance and was not covered by the warranty coverage she was given at no cost, and towing becomes the responsibility of the consumer.

Manny G Motors thanks the BBB for the opportunity for the response allowed to us.

      Respectfully,

      Manny G Motors

I am rejecting this response because: i only had the car for 48 hours that alone is ridiculous. The way he spoke to me to me was ridiculous. Charging me for a tow for a vehicle that broke down on me was ridiculous. The point thats being missed here is how unprofessional and negligent this man is when selling cars off that lot. Not only did i feel used

       I got scammed.

      Regards,

Manny G Motors has taken all the actions with all requirements to meet the satisfactory response for Mrs. ****** Manny G Motors certainly understands the frustration Mrs. ***** is having. Manny G Motors has taken this into consideration and Manny G Motors has responded by repairing the issue at no charge to Mrs. ****** Consumers are responsible for the transportation of their vehicle to be transported to the Dealership or ************** of their choosing. If the owner of the vehicle does not have road side assistance to cover towing expenses or if the owners warranty coverage doesn't cover the towing expense, the responsibility falls on the owner of the vehicle to make arrangements to have the vehicle towed/transported, it is not the responsibility of the retailer. Manny G Motors provided Mrs. ***** a free 3month 3ooo mile ************* Train Warranty giving coverage on the three major components of the vehicle, Engine - Automatic Transmission - Drive Axle Assembly. Manny G Motors understanding the frustration and concern of Mrs. ****** Manny G Motors provided an excellent customer service response for Mrs. ***** by having her vehicle Towed /Transported back to *********** to our location about 1 hour and 30 min drive for the ************************** After the diagnostic of the vehicle, the issue the vehicle was having was the Starter. The Starter is not a component/part that is covered by the 3month 3000 mile ************* Train Warranty, but Manny G Motors responded by repairing the vehicle including parts and labor at no charge to Mrs. ****** Mrs. ***** was never told at any time that she would have to pay for any repairs for the vehicle other than the expense of the towing. Mrs. ***** is responsible for the balance of the towing of the vehicle of $240.00 Manny G Motors has made several attempts to contact Mrs. ***** by messages and calls to Mrs. ***** notifying her that her vehicle is ready for pick up. We have had no response back from Mrs. ***** regarding her vehicle and for the outstanding balance of the Towing/Transportation. Manny G Motors thanks the BBB in resolving this complaint where Manny G Motors has resolved to complete satisfactory by any standard for any consumer.

In what world do you think as a business man thats its okay to sell a vehicle to anybody that hasnt been properly inspected. First things first from the jump i knew their was going to be a problem with how you guys handled the application process you used not only mine but my partners income and combined them but he wasnt on the paperwork i was also allowed to leave the lot without insurance. Then not only that but after *************************************************************************************** You didnt make eye contact the entire time you didn't sympathize, nothing. You kept saying it happens and using your wons situation as an example. You insisted i wasnt getting my vehicle back until i paid for a tow i had no business paying for for. You think i want to drive a vehicle that you claim is fixed after all the drama and rude remarks you made. I dont trust that vehicle you destroyed my bumper in the tow process i have the photos you shouldnt be in this business. You are a *****.

This incident occurred over a year ago on September 24, 2021. I was only nineteen years old and took my hard earned money to Manny G Motors to buy a car. I paid $1,276 for a ********** Lancer, signed a deal and was told I would receive my contract the next day. My mother who was the cosigner of the car asked the dealership for service to repair tires and things on the car. The dealership agreed to provide that service the following day as well. My mother returns to the dealership the next day and is told the tire shop is closed. Suddenly the owners try to grab the keys from the cosigner. Next thing the keys are broke. The police are called and make a report. The dealer did not want to give another key, so the cosigner could not drive home with the vehicle and it had stayed at the dealership. Also we never received our contract. As I tried to speak with the owner ***** and make amends on my end as the primary buyer, she stated they no longer want to do business and told me they are going to keep the vehicle entirely. They say they have a right to keep the vehicle and down payment because the cops were involved but we did not wish to give anything up voluntarily. Eventually three days later the cosigner wins a dispute from their bank for half of their share of the down payment because the other half was to pay for the key being broke apparently cost $500. However, I, the buyer have had to fight endlessly for my refund of $1,276 from the dealership. They continue to make up lies to my bank as I have been tirelessly disputing this with them back and forth and providing more and more evidence. The dealership has not tried to resolve this matter. I have tried to amend this myself but the owners just hang the phone up on me. They refuse to make this right and give a refund to the young buyer who was not part of this altercation. They say the contract is still valid but I believe it has been broken and should not be considered valid anymore.

      To whom it may concern,

******************** and *********************** ******* bought and signed a motor vehicle contract for the 2011 ********** Lancer with vin #***************** on 09/24/21. The amount left as a down payment was ******* with three credit cards two belonging to ******************* (******+400.00) and another belonging to *****************(*******). After the sale was done, we had agreed for the customer to take the vehicle for the night with the agreement to come back the following morning when we opened so we could detail clean their vehicle. The appointment was set for 09/25/21 at 9:00 am. Neither *************** or ******************* followed through. That same day we called until we got them to agree to come later in the day. ******************* with out ****************, did show up but by the time she had arrived it was about 5:30 on a Saturday. The car was being cleaned and since the tire light was on, we then explained that the car needed to be inspected by a tire shop. Since the tire shop had already closed we asked her to leave it so we can have them look at it in the morning. This is when ******************* got upset and started arguing with staff. She pulled out the key from the ignition and she broke it broke. It got very heated as to the point that ******************* assaulted the staff and we had to call the police to the dealership the Incident report is #SAPD20211228008. After this incident we still made an agreement to give a refund back to both **************** and ******************* the down payment less the admin fee ****** and damage for the broken key ******. ****************** got her money back on 10. She did a Credit Card reversal of ****** and ******. **************** canceled her card so we asked her to call the bank of the ******************* to see if she can get a new card and from to have them to initiate the refund or to come to the dealership and we can do it for her. From my understanding they never gave her a card or any assistance and this is why she needed to come with the Credit Card. This has been an on going dispute because the bank is not assisting her in the processes.***************** finally came in on 12/19/2022. She agreed on the remaining amount to be refunded to her. At this time she came in with her Grandmother and her grandmother too some paper when the finance manager left the room. We explained that the police were going to be called again because she was on camera. At that point **************** got up and said to keep the money and left. She is yet to be heard from as of today 12/26/22. The resolution for this is that, we still plan to refund the remaining amount due which is ******. All we were asking is that they accept responsibility of damages.
