    My vehicle was impounded on March 23,2023 by the ******* vehicle impound, I have tried a numerous amount of times to be able to retrieve my vehicle from the facility and they have not let me. I live in ********** so its very hard for me to travel down to San Antonio. I have presented proof of ownership as well as the police report with the vehicles VIN. They have told me that they need a detective to come and look for the vehicles VIN # since the place that its located was affected by the car accident, I have contacted the police department and they have told me that there isnt a detective assigned to my vehicle and that theres no reason for the car impound to have it on hold. Its almost been 3 weeks since my vehicle has been held there and I cant afford to have it there longer having to pay for my vehicle there and they are the ones who havent wanted to let it go

    As explained to ****************, the vehicle needed to be identified by the San Antonio ***************** since the vehicle had a damaged *** and was not clearly visible. A secondary *** would need to be located by a detective. SAPD verified the *** and released the vehicle to **************** on 4/11/2023 with fees not starting until 4/14/2023.  The San Antonio Vehicle Impound which is managed by Alanis Wrecker Service could not release this vehicle until SAPD gave us the authorization which was given on 4/11/23@9:49am. **************** was called soon after and the vehicle is now in the process of being released to his insurance. (4/12/2023 4:13pm). **************** was not any tow or storage fees.
