We attended a presentation and heard the expected high pressure sales pitch from a generally likeable person. But numbers were inflated, fears played on, all to try to get us to pay them an exorbitant fee to them to exit our timeshare. The presenter vastly inflated the lifelong costs, then presented a ridulously laughable fee of $14k for them to totally take it it off our hands over the next ***** months. "But today only - you can have it for $11k." (I should not have suppressed my laughter!) When we balked, and said that was much too high a price, "J" kept coming down in price ... finally to $3500. When we said (as we did in the beginning) that we came today for info only and had no intention to buy any program today or in the next 6 months, the presenter (J) became increasingly pushy, rude, and disrespectful to my wife and myself. I noted to him that he was using bullying tactics and he got even more defensive and said "nothing is keeping you here ... you can leave" ... which we promptly did. We did not receive the $50 gift that was promised to us for showing up ... but frankly, after being treated as we were, I would not have even wanted to take $ from someone like that. Note that we were the only couple there in a room set up for ***** people .... I can see why and it is fortunate for others that they did not have to endure this ********** best advice - stay far away from this business when they call ... they are as bad if not worse than the timeshare companies that enslaved you to start with.

I am not sure which seminar you attended, we do not show you in our system. Also, those prices you listed are not prices we have. If you would call the office we can discuss everything and go over what our business does and such. I do apologize *** any inconvenience, however, we would like to get to the bottom of everything since it seems you attended the incorrect seminar.

My name is ****** ****** Let me start out by saying that when my wife and I first bought our timeshare through ****. We had no idea that our annual maintenance fee would keep increasing every year not to mention when we inquired about trying to get out **** was not helpful at all and then when we found out that when the time came when my wife and I were to die, our children would be stuck with this ever increasing yearly maintenance fee with literally no way out. After my wife and I attended the seminar, which was hosted by Southwest Exit Strategys we finally felt like we had an answer to get out of this horrible mess. We were able to have a one on one with **** *****. Who from the very start reassured us that he and his company would be able to help us get out of our contract with ****. I can honestly tell you it took approximately three months for the entire process, but my wife and I could not be more happier, knowing that we are no longer part of **** property knowing that now our children will not have to be burdened with this ever increasing annual homeowners association fee, Southwest Exit Strategys kept their promise and fully helped us be able to have finally a piece of mind and happiness. Great job Southwest Exit Strategy and most importantly **** ***** and his great staff. 10 stars all the way.

BEWARE of this scam! Read reputable articles about timeshare exit scams such as ******************************************************************** which identifies read flags. Southwest Exit Strategy ticks them all. They initiated contact (red flag) with my 85-year-old mother, invited her to a free lunch seminar (red flag) where they pressured her with 'today only' pricing (red flag) to sign a contract for thousands of dollars of up-front fees (red flag) with a clause that they keep 15% even if she changed her mind within 3 days (red flag and so unethical) and told her "don't let him change your mind" when she mentioned her son had serious misgivings about the company. When she got home and read articles about timeshare scams, she initiated cancelling the contract. Nearly two weeks later, she does not any money back. Bottom line, they moved fast and unethically to nearly deprive our family of a beloved asset. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS!

I do apologize for any misinformation that you have received. We do not invite anyone to a free lunch seminar. We have a marketing company that calls ********* owners and book them into an informational seminar. There is no food or such offered. The only thing offered is information and a service if they do choose. There is nothing hidden at the seminar, everything is put into black and white for the clients to see before they make a decision. If your mother has any questions please have her give us a call, we are only allowed to speak to the person on the contract pertaining to the details.

Harassing phone calls. I did not attend a seminar but from what I was told the seminar entailed and what it actually is was different. The women I spoke with on the phone tried to mislead me with her information. Thankfully I did not fall for it.

Southwest Exit Strategy does not make outbound phone calls. We do hire a marketing group that books owners into a seminar to meet with us face to face to go over your options. If you would like to email us the information of the person you spoke with, day and time then we could connect with the manager at the marketing room to see what happened on that call. The information they provide on the phone is true information that they have. All the details pertaining to options and the how's, dos and don'ts is information that is only provided by us at the seminar. If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to reach out to us.

I plan to attend a seminar next week and would like written evidence on why Southwest Exit Strategy is not a member of the BBB?

    Southwest Exit Strategy

    Date: 10/08/2024

I can send you the reasoning that we received from the bbb as to why we are not accredited. Any timeshare exit company can not be accredited by the bbb. That is their rule. I will send you an email here shortly with the information

Why is *** not a member of the BBB, we bought into the process tonight and went online to look into it further.

    Southwest Exit Strategy

    Date: 09/26/2024

There are a few reasons. One of the biggest reasons would be that the BBB does not allow companies such as ours to become accredited with them. If you are dealing with any kind of timeshare cancellation then it disqualifies you.  I do see your email address and will shoot you over an email with the proof of my statement. We look forward to working with you!!!!

THREE WORDS- DON'T DO IT- THEY PRAY ON THE ELDERLY-SCAMMERS

    Southwest Exit Strategy

    Date: 09/11/2024

First I would like to say that we are here to help timeshare owners. We do not pray on the elderly or anyone else. We keep contracts and have everything in black and white so that there is nothing hidden and there is no secrets, both parties know what is what. I have checked all of our records and I do not find you in our system. If you could please give our office a call so that we can discuss what is going on that would be great. At this point it is difficult for us to address any issues when we do not have a file on you under the name you provided.

I bought into their program and I regret it. Our circumstances changed and we decided to keep our timeshare, therefore, we did not need their services anymore. When I contacted them for a refund, they refused. They are keeping our $22,500! Yes, I know that is crazy for us to pay, especially, since the initial reason we wanted out of our timeshare was because of cost. We also learned of things we were told in the seminar that later turned out to be untrue. This is a breach of contract. While I did sign a contract when I signed up, the contract is null because we no longer are seeking to get out of our timeshare and they were not completely honest in this process. This is basically stealing, because they will not be providing the service that we signed up for. I will also warn you, it is not just one company you will be dealing with it is three! I was vulnerable the night of the seminar and they preyed upon that. We were also told, if you leave tonight the price goes up. They are as bad as timeshare salesman and I can not believe we fell for this. I regret this decision with every fiber of my being. I am going to continue to fight this as $22,500 is not something I can just let go. This has been a nightmare of epic proportions. If I could give zero stars I would.

Our contract clearly states that you relinquished all usage rights and we reserve the right to dispose of the property in any manner necessary to complete the process. You both initialed and signed the contract on Feb 22nd, 2024 stating that you understood and agreed to this. After almost 5 months you decide to keep your timeshare and want a refund. We have invested many office hours into your case and a refund is not an option. At no time have we been dishonest or breached our contract. It also states in the contract that refusal to comply from client for a period greater than 30 days can result in decline of services and forfeiture of any monies paid. You clearly wanted out of your timeshare so you hired us todo the job. We have held up our part of the agreement. Now you have spoken to the resort and they made more empty promises and resold you on why you need to keep your timeshare. Let us do the job you requested and relieve you of this burden.
