    I had a really disturbing experience at Brass Monkey on Sunday night, (5/25/25). After being asked to leave because I appeared intoxicated (which I cooperated with), I realized my tab was still open and this bar holds your ID and credit card.When I asked the security outside if I could just get my state-issued ID and credit card back, they repeatedly refused and told me to "come back tomorrow." That is not only unreasonable (Brass is closed on Mondays), it is unlawful. Without my ID, I couldnt legally drive the next day, and I was left in a vulnerable position with no access to my own identification.A kind staff member eventually stepped in and got my cards something the security could have done from the start. But the way I was treated felt more like bullying than safety protocol. If the concern was that I needed time to sober up, offer water or support dont hold someones ID hostage.Guests deserve better than this. This was illegal, unprofessional, and humiliating.
