    We leased a 2023 Honda Odyssey. This has been the worst experience of my life. While purchasing the vehicle, I told the **************** we did not have the funds for down payment. I was told to come in anyway. They readily accepted a check that they said they would "hold". They then decided not to hold the check and cashed it. I alerted my bank and they stopped the check due to suspected fraud. I told **************** and kept in contact. The General Sales Manager, *********************** then proceeded to call and berate me on the phone. I was called a liar, thief, criminal and threatened with jail. He then told me he didn't give a s*** about my military service. All of this was done on speaker phone in front of my children. They are 12, 9, and 5. They heard the swearing and disparage of my military career.I have called any phone number looking for help. I have left at least 10 messages for the General Manager at Gunn Honda. I called HR to make a complaint and was assured someone would call me. I talked to a ****** at the corporate office who said a VP would contact me. Only person who I talked to more than once, *********************** just continuously threatened me with jail and then stopped talking to me when I asked if I needed a lawyer.**************** stated that there had been a 35 year policy of not accepting checks. I told him and ************ and HR that I had (and still have in writing) proof that I repeatedly stated I didn't have the funds and that they would hold the check. I had also many times offered to return the van.I have since rectified payment to which there has been no acknowledgment. I still have no acknowledgment of the treatment shown to me. I was even told my Honda Finance that it looked like my account was purposefully messed up by Gunn Honda. So much so, that they moved my first payment to then so they could fix the issue.

    I am not sure where to begin.  We dispute every line in the complaint other than maybe his kids were in the car.  We do not hold checks and made it very clear to him that we do not use this practice.  When he stopped payment on the check, we remained professional in our actions.  He said when we got the check back, he would bring us the money.  When the check was returned by the bank we called to let him know that the check had in fact made it back to us.  After numerous phone calls reminding him that we needed the money, we decided to make another call to let him know that we would in fact turn this matter over to the District Attorney if not received.  When **************** made this call, i was sitting right next him.  So, I heard every word that he said.  There was no mention of criminal, liar, thief or jail.  **************** simply said that it is our policy to turn over uncollected checks to the District Attorney.  **************** would never and did not say anything negative about the military or Mr. ****** military service.  It was never even talked about.  Also, there was absolutely no bad language.  As far as leaving messages for me, he did, and I did return his call.  After I left a message, i never received another call.  ************ did not ever threaten him with jail either.  As for his proof in writing of him telling us he did not have the funds and that we would hold the check, we asked him to provide that proof.  He never provided that proof.  The last statement about American Honda Finance is absurd.  We have a 50+ year relationship with them that we would never jeopardize.  Also, we would have absolutely no reason to mess up his account.

    So, maybe finance and **************** need retraining.  As I have stated many times, I still have the text messages.  MANY MANY MANY text messages.  At least 10 messages to where I told them the check they were getting had no funds. If camera really worked in finance I told ********************** as well.  And No, Noone other than. **************** and ************ has called me back.  EVER.  I have phone records to back that up.  

    My kids are willing to look **************** IN THE **** AND ASK HIM WHY HE SAID THAT ABOUT THEIR DAD.  

    II can also tell you where to begin.  How about actually calling and talking to your customers.  All communication from **** has been down right unprofessional.  Even this response that was not correct.  A simple phone call is all that was needed and never done.  My many and many phone calls were never even considered

    A few things....why would I submit a reaponse asking nothing but for retraining and a phone call?

    2.  why would I call multiple people after trying for the ** upwards of 5 times alone if i had a voicemail?  That in itself makes 0 sense.

    3.  i still have text messages, i still I have never been given who to show them to.  **************** was given the opportunity to show them to **************** himself, bit "he deletes his messages daily".

    4.  Noticr in reply, that they were only interested in the business association with Honda Finance?  No mention of years of service with military,  or helping military.

    A simple phone call with an apology or talking to me as a human has all I have asked for.  It seems still here that isn't something they are capable of doing.  I hope my complaint helps other consumers.
