I purchased a 2017 *** 540i from A Motors (***********, **) on April 4, 2025. At the time of purchase, the dealership assured me the vehicle was in excellent condition and ready for the road. However, within 23 months, I began hearing unusual noises from under the car. Concerned, I brought the vehicle to a certified shop, where it was diagnosed that the driveshaft flex disc (also known as the guibo) is cracked and failing. This is a major drivetrain component, and such a failure shortly after purchase raises serious concerns about the vehicles condition at the time of sale.I have contacted A Motors about this issue and am awaiting their response, but I want to formally document my complaint through the BBB. I believe the dealership should take responsibility for addressing or covering the cost of this repair, as no customer should face this type of major failure within a few months of purchase.I am requesting that A Motors contact me promptly to resolve this matter fairly, either by covering the repair costs or providing another reasonable solution.?For the Desired resolution section, paste this:?I would like A Motors to cover the repair cost of the driveshaft flex disc or provide an alternative solution, such as a refund or partial reimbursement, to ensure the vehicle is in the promised condition.Business Response

We are very sorry Mr. ***** is experiencing these problems with his BMW...However, when Mr. ***** purchased this vehicle it was AS-IS and he signed the corresponding docs to prove such case. Despite that, when Mr. ***** expressed concerns about the suspension regarding the vehicle at the time of purchase, which A Motors didn't know about, A Motors still went above and beyond and spent more than $1000 to repair the issue...We even went as far as providing a loaner vehicle when we didn't have to. We feel we've addressed this issue to the best of our ability. We understand the frustration, however we cannot make a used vehicle brand new.Initial Complaint

Mechanic even told me owners or managers at the Sherwood location was ******* him to do the rear main seal leak( mechanic even stated he has hard hearing after notifying them about a rattling noise coming from the driver side wheel area)Owner will also blackmail you if you write a bad review and wont do job unless review is deleted.Vehicle had a rear main seal leak and they fixed that but did not do the torque converter seal as it has residual oil(Main shop mechanic at my **** ***** noticed and said it should be done also with the rear main seal since everything was taken apart)The dust plate was not installed back so flywheel is exposed, metal shield on bottom is missing also, plastic shield is missing clips and they used self tappers to put back on, a bolt was missing so they used a castle nut, one bolt hole has no bolt also. Owner does not want to fix because they apparently already spent 2500$ and car was at three different mechanics or three different mechanics worked on the vehicle They will break retainer clips, strip bolts and use self tapping screws and zip ties to put back together.Lame owner even texted asking if I was a Honda mechanic after I asked if they found the issue for the gear indicator light that was *********** car was undriveable for a month, only drove for a week or so before having these issues rectified and still had other issues pop up like the gear indicator light blinking, rattling noise from driver side wheel area and also the shotty workmanship.Loaner was given and thats all theyre good for, even their loaners have issues as I had to take one back (red buick encore that had a check engine light and reduced engine power, a *** optima black 2016 where the rear camera would go out)One bolt for engine cover was just placed in the hole and not bolted in because another bolt was already below it, they took one engine cover bolt to replace another bolt then used a random bolt to replace the one they took out.Business Response

Hello,
When Mr. **** bought the Honda...He signed an as-is sold without warranty form...We didn't know at the time of the sale the car had a seal leak...Despite the fact A Motors was under no obligation to repair this vehicle legally, we still spent more than $1200 to repair it and we put Mr. **** in a loaner to accommodate him...We at A Motors feel we've done every thing in our power to keep Mr. **** happy...However, Mr. **** is attempting to make an 8 year old car with ******* miles new, and that can't happen without spending a large amount of money. We're sorry he feels the way he does...However, we are not going to address any more issues with this car. We appreciate his business.

They promised it was a great car, they failed to tell me I had a rear cracked rim, they did not know the cause for the air leak, the battery died shortly after. It needed brakes, door, and a fender as well. They only mentioned the fender was damaged. From there I waited to do my TT&L which was totaled at ******** posted in the photos attached. They over charged me an extra $400 on TAX title and license. Without explanation. And they took 2 weeks to get me a receipt of my purchase. With endless communication in knowing when I was getting my title, which they sent to the wrong address when I stated before hand the address I currently lived at. In all I just would like to recoup my $400 that I was robbed of. Mind you I did 3 trips that was a total of 4 hours round-trip each time.Business Response

My problems consist with my vehicle I purchased, the sales guy's promised they would fix the issues, which included the headlights assembly. Along with bulb sockets/ wiring burnt out, and battery/ alternator problem. I also informed them about other problems such as drill screws that where screwed into the front fender and hidden so it held it together to make the car look presentable/ sellable. also informed them about the bad tires. all of which the sellers told me they are busy and can give me a call back so they can fix the problem. No one has contacted me back, I have messaged and called multiple times, I've even reported to the finance company of the situation of the parts no operating and because of the money I've tried paying to get as much as fixed so I can try driving vehicle on the road. and they referred me to the BBB for more assistance.
