What really changed my mind about going here is when I brought my cat in because she has been acting sick, hurt and not eating and I just brought her in for a well check 3 weeks prior and she checked out healthy and no issues, but two weeks later her symptoms started so I called and after waiting FOREVER I got someone to tell me that they had no appointment and it is walk in only. The very next morning I walked in and they told me that she can be seen but I would need to drop her off and pick her up later, which I was fine with, so about mid day Dr. M******** called to tell me that they can do blood work for $170 and a senior wellness check up or for $400 or they can do a heart test and includes the senior wellness exam or the option to do XRays for $220. Who is the Doctor? Me? I got to decide what was best? And I no nothing about treatments for animals with her type of symptoms so I asked for advice and was told any or all three and I finally picked the bloodwork and senior wellness and I asked for pain medication to try and help her in the meantime since she was hurting and it was obvious from the way she walked that she was hurting, so after leaving her there for more than 6 hours on Monday, they called to tell me she was ready for pickup and charged be $300 and told me they would call when the bloodwork results were in and they gave me a bottle f pain meds and joint meds to help if the issue is related to her age but they DID NOTHING in clinic for her. No fluids! No pain medication to give her temporary relief in hope she might eat and drink to stay hydrated NOTHING! So I left and when we got home I gave her pain meds and then next day I noticed no improvement and she was acting lethargic so when Dr. M******** finally called me at 4pm the following day with the results she told me that everything checked out ok! No worries... which didn't make me feel better because my cat was definitely not better and when I explained she was worse and had not eaten, Dr.M******** suggested that I bring her in to been seen but that she would not be there the next day and there were no appointments available so she suggested I walk in. So the next day I walked in and asked to be seen only to be told that they only had one Dr. there and they had patients already lined up and no way my animal could be seen ( BUT I JUST SPENT $300 the day before and they wouldn't see me?) so I left in tears with my 15 years shocked that they sent us away, and the option was to put our name on a list to be seen as a walk in again the next day so we left. Then today I get to the vet clinic 18 minutes after the schedule walk in time ( again...not an appointment just a walk in visit ) and because I was 18 minutes after the walk in time they listed they told me that they wouldnt see my animal and because I was late to my walk in time ( AGAIN- If it was an appointment I would have been there right at 12:30 but I assumed I would walk in and wait an hour like the first day and be seen when they could squeeze us in but instead... I was told I was late and they wouldn't see my pet for this reason! So now I am at home in tears and I'm trying to find a clinic that can help but the $300 I just spend on the blood work is stuck with this clinic and I'm having to start all over now finding a new clinic and starting over with trying to determine what is wrong with my cat.
I will tell all of my friends and neighbors and anyone that ask about vets in Rowlett NOT TO EVER DO BUSINESS THERE AGAIN!!!! Dr.J*** was the BEST and the reason I stayed at this clinic so long. Dr. J*** would have never let me leave without treating my cat with some sort of medicine in the clinic to help with her pain overnight until her blood work results were back so they lost a wonderful Dr. and they hired a ton of new vets that just want to run test and charge you for your exam and visit instead of making my pet feel better and giving her relief they just want to charge me more money to do more test and after $300 spent and NOTHING- just blood results telling my cat if perfect and no treatment to help her or hydrate her which even I can tell and I'm not the doctor! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS CLINIC IS MY ONLY SUGGESTION. I'm sharing this news with Facebook and Twitter and any other social media site I use so that no one else will have to go through the same experience that I'm going through! I'M NEVER STEPPING FOOT IN ROWLETT VETERINARY CLINIC AGAIN!
