A return call was placed quickly. I was easily able to identify the problem and a service call was scheduled for the next day.Cody Pools Georgetown Response

**** won our project on price by far, they included so many extras, like a UV filter, smart controls, colored lights, and a vacuum robot. They even have their proprietary plaster finish with "sea glass" pebbles. There were things that concerned me the contract, but I was told the owner said, "we are going to cover it anyway, so go ahead and fix it." Next construction began, with ****** in charge. Our entire pool was built in a month and a half. Trades (excavation, electrical, plumbing, concrete (gunite), masonry, plaster, tiling, decking, and clean up) came in one after another like clockwork. I was super impressed with how talented and professional each crew was. ****** was on top of it every step of the way. When we found an unexpected pipe, ****** got someone there the next day to reroute it without skipping a beat. When I asked for a change order to extend a retaining wall for decking, they simply started building it the next day. When my wife changed her mind on the wrap-around-tiling for the infinity edge, ******, instead of stopping the project to order new tile, hustled around town until he came up with enough of the new tile to finish the project. When my intended electrical panel couldn't support the pool equipment, we quickly figured out how to run it discretely from the main panel. When I asked for them to do the our concrete pavers for our deck after our landscaping company came back with an outrageous estimate, ****** got it done for 1/5th the price. I love that dude!!! I think the most down time we had was when we had was a Monday off. After the pool was full and running, **** scheduled a ************** at my house to teach me how to care for it. They gave me equipment like a skimmer, vacuum, brush, and a water testing kit. ****, has a fantastic dedicated ******************** which answers the phone every time you call. This review is 100% voluntarily and I offered it without being asked. The only thing I received for it was dang good work.Review from Eric S

Had pool problems at the 1 year and 2 year ***** They were quick to fix the 1 year problems but the year 2 issue was worse. The pool was losing 6 of water a day. It turns out my warranty expired 5 days before I called (I was out of town to find the issue). They would not work with me at all. They have a handful of **** employees and they contract out all their work. I would not recommend as they dont stand behind their contractors work.Review from Cindy H

Began a $200k+ pool project 2 years ago. They added water and turned the pool on in July of 2022. Ever since we've experienced never ending leaks.Horrible. Stay away. Terrible communication. The only time we saw the foreman was when he came over to collect a check. Communication only existed if we initiated it. There were times during the build where a couple of months would go by and no communication from our Foreman (Miguel). We are on the 4th leak. Still not corrected. Miguel tried to get away without installing the sink that was ALREADY PAID FOR because he said they couldn't cut the opening for it after the the marble counter top was installed. They treat you like you are ignorant. The pool has never stopped leaking since Cody Pools filled it with water and activated the system. They drag out fixing the leaks by performing bucket tests and then make excuses for delaying fixing the leaks by saying the company they outsource for the leak detections are too busy to come out. So, they schedule time for them to come out beyond a 2 week time frame.Meanwhile, my water bill is escalating as we monitor and fill the pool daily to sufficiently keep the pool circulation pump from burning out for lack of water.Their payment structure is such that you are required to make your last payment before they fill the pool and activate the circulation system. Now they have all your money and have ZERO incentive to fix any problems. They do it this way because if they don't they won't receive final payment until they resolve all outstanding problems/issues which can drag on longer than they would like before receiving payment in full. Instead Cody Pools puts themselves first over their customers. They want their money before the job is done. They do not practice customer service. They do not know what customer service is and do not care about producing quality work. Each phase of the project is outsourced to the lowest bidder. Cody Pools doesn't quality assure anything.Review from Maria

We signed a contract with Cody Pools in March 2021 for an amount of $110,000. After multiple errors in construction, poorly installed tiles, poorly installed pipes, lack of supervision, the pool was finish in March 2022. From day 1 that we filled the pool, leaks began to appear around the walls of all the pool . We immediately made the report. After 3 months of constant loss of water, additional expenses in chemicals and water bills, the walls of the pool began to crack, all the stairs are cracked, the tiles and copin cracked. We called Cody pools, urgently we wrote to the bosses and owners of the company, who never called us or returned the email. They sent the construction manager who has been able to do so little due to the magnitude of the problem. now we give $110,000 to Cody Pools we have an empty and collapsing pool in our yard.Review from William F

please see and heed these reviews. Cody pools will dig a hole and put a pool in, but if you want a quality product, you better be able to manage the project yourself. Customer service is atrocious. Our pool is just over 1 year old and after trying to resolve warranty issues with ***** were having to pay another company to correct ****s installation shortfalls. **** has done minimum to quality check their construction, and even less to troubleshoot existing problems. Weve had to have our heater replaced already, our autofill replaced twice, and *********, goes by ******* was perhaps one of the most condescending people Ive talked with from their office. Its a shame that you will spend so much money and get so little from ****. After months of trying to work with the company, Im so frustrated with them. Please save yourselves the same headaches. I recommend looking elsewhere to build your backyard oasis.Review from Michael M

The following is our experience with Cody pools. As of six weeks ago we have paid Cody pools in full $116,000.00 yet our pool is not completed, and a lot of the work was way below our expectations for the cost. Both my wife and I have texted and called our main contact and contractor multiple times with no answer or reply at all. 4 weeks ago I began calling the office line where I spoke to a gentlemen who promised me that all the work that needed to be completed would be done and that we would hear from our GC within 7 days. On day 7 I called the office line again and explained everything again and we finally heard back from our GC who said he would have someone out to finish setting up our pool jets the next day. That was on May 10th and today is the 13th and no one has showed up. Which has kind of been the story from the start with cody pools. The sad part is that our GCs boss was included on all this and still nothing has been done. I provided the last check for $11,000.00 to our GC with the understand that we would have everything completed by the end of the week. Wow, that was a huge mistake cause nothing has been done. Everyone we engaged with at Cody pools was extremely nice and friendly. My wife and I havent yelled or screamed or been a nightmare customer whoever I wish we had because in this case the nice people dont get their pool finished. A lot of the work done to our pool was not what you would expect for $116,000.00. My wife and I flip homes part time and are able to do things like tiling a floor or a wall. Below are examples of the terrible tiling work done by Cody pools. With leveling spaces available in the large retail stores how Cody pools in unable to lay tile that isnt level blows my mind. Chipped tile, grout lines are different sizes, Tile thin set showing where it should be grout, 2 rows of tile never completed.Review from Joshua C.

This review is much like all of the other 1 star reviews on the BBB site. I would definitely leave zero stars if allowed. Cody Pools is full of liars. I trust the bums down by the Riverwalk more than someone wearing a Cody Pools shirt. They dont show up when they say they will. They lie saying they have done work that was never started. They blame others for their mistakes. They even called me a liar even though I had emails to document conversations. The superintendent is never onsite. It took them 10+months to do 14 days of work. I had to stay on top of the superintendent every few days to remind him of items that were not complete or still needed to be done. I even had to schedule my own final inspection with the city. They had already washed their hands with my job and didnt really care if it ever got inspected. They threatened to cancel my warranty if I didnt let their technician into the yard unsupervised. They tried buying me off from sending this review with some free accessories for the overpriced pool. I recommend everyone threaten to send a BBB complaint so they can get some attempt at real service from this company. I firmly recommend everyone stay clear of Cody pools unless you like dealing with liars and doing half of the general contracting yourself. I saved about $10k by choosing **** over the bigger company in *********** that does all the work themselves. I regret that decision every day. If you see a Cody Pools truck coming, run the other way.Review from Pavani V
