1 starThree years ago Strogens replaced my A/C compressor with a new higher capacity model and sold me an annual service contract and assured me they provided prompt service when things break. Last month, the central A/C was not keeping up with the unusually hot New England summer heat so I called and requested a technician come out and either fix what's wrong or tell us what equipment needs to be replaced so we can stay cool. The technician did his analysis and stated the equipment is fine and that the return air filter we were using was too restrictive. We replaced the air filter and it made no difference. I even removed the filter entirely and there was no difference. Yesterday it was 95 F and the A/C stopped working. I made an emergency service call and was told they currently had no service appointment openings. After a smoldering night without A/C I reached out again this morning and was told someone would contact me shortly. Mid-afternoon I get a text telling me someone will be out Friday afternoon. Today is Wednesday. These guys are good at the sale, both equipment and service contracts, but don't expect timely or reliable service after the sale. Now I'm going to be $500 out of pocket for either a large room window A/C or 2 nights in a hotel room so my wife and I, both in our 70's, don't struggle through another night attempting to sleep in this heat.Review fromPaul M

3 starsThe installation of HVAC went okay after multiple service calls and adjustments to the equipment. I've had ongoing issues with the thermostats going offline which could be the wifi at my home. My complaint is about the SERVICE EXPERTS ADVANTAGE PROGRAM CONTRACT-it's dated 8-7-23 at that time I was told that this was a 10yr agreement. I only recently was deleting emails because I forced to get a new chromebook, I stumbled onto an email from Advantage Program Auto. around that same time and it stated that I was approved for an exorbitant amount, well I took to it to mean that was my credit allowed max-there was no explanation just the word approval. After scrolling down 7 Pages I saw this Advantage Program Agreement- Early Termination Fee Schedule which stated that even after 10 yrs there's still a 25% termination fee calculated by the cosdt of installation which was $17,200. To my chagrin there's a pro rate decrease for the next 5 yrs, so even after 15 yrs they still want another 5% of the install cost. All along I was under the impression that this ended in 10yrs. After a couple of phone calls to ****** The General Manager called back and assured me that ****** has never carried out this fee that long. I felt relieved but I needed an email confirming this, I'll send you an email he replied." 3 days later no email. I then received a text stating that a senior customer svc agent would be calling, that never happened either. I thought this was a service agreement for 10yrs in which I would pay a monthly fee which is okay with me, but not 15 yrs I would never have agreed to those terms, I feel that these terms are probably legal but highly unethical to take advantage of a 73yr old who didn't have AC for 2 days during August and now the lying "I'll send you an email" and "a senior customer ********************** person will be in contact soon."Review fromPorter M

1 starComfortech Service Experts 1- I am requesting a full refund. Your technicians ran a scam on me. The 2 techs were at my home less than 2 hours. They never did get the Central unit working. When they got here the unit would cutting on but the fan was spinning in slow mode. The control board was flashing. It is now disabled.2- They said the unit would not power up. They said the plug in the attic was bad. It was working fine. I plugged it in before they arrived, and it came on and the control board was flashing. 3- It is now disabled and not working after they finished working on it. 4- They told me that I had to have a new Central unit , for $15,000. 5- This invoice that I was emailed, says that the Balance Due is $105.93. I paid $325.28. 6- They activated my outside fan manually and said I had to replace the compressor. It has been working fine.7- The first quote for the visit was $1,800. Then the tech said he could get it down to $900.00 today. He said that I could pay $500.00 today and set up a payment plan. 8- Then I asked to see what I was being charged $900.00 for. On that invoice was a $500.00 charge for a capacitor. I did not need it. My capacitor was working fine. I paid $25.00 at Ace hardware. 9-The next charge was $250.00 for a Transformer , My Transformer was working fine. $40.00 at **********. I told the tech to remove their $500.00 capacitor and the $250.00 Transformer. I paid $325.28. The invoice that I was emailed, says that the Balance Due is $105.93. I paid $325.28.They never did get the Central unit working. When they got here the unit was cutting on but the fan was spinning in slow mode. The control board was flashing. It is now disabled.Sincerely,****** ***** **************************************Review fromdanniel p

1 starThe service at this business is terrible. I requested someone to fix my HVAC unit and scheduled in a window of 12 PM to 4 PM. The technician did not call me until 9 PM requesting to come to my home. I decline the a technician, then came out the very next day and quoted me for $6500. My house is brand new. I called another company. They did the work for $500 and my HVAC is working perfectly. Peachtree services is a scam. I asked to speak to a supervisor four days ago. I still have not heard from my supervisor yet so I am going to be reviewing discharge with my bank.Review fromMark P

1 starThis company talked my 86 year old mom into LEASING a $30,000 unit for a ***** sq ft condo! I cant believe their BBB rating is A+. Read their reviews. They prey on the elderly, and are solid in ensuring everything they do is legal. Ethical is a whole different story.Review fromHarriet S

1 starRe: Service Experts Advantage Program In July or August of 2021, the ** unit in my home needed to be replaced. I believe that I was referred to Service Experts by ********* who was no longer installing home systems. I met with a representative from Service Experts who recommended their advantage program where the ** would be replaced and the company would be responsible for the maintenance/repair of the unit.Frankly, I did not realize that I was being grossly overcharged for the unit/maintenance by thousands of dollars and that the unit did not belong to me as it was under a lease agreement. I now find myself in the position of paying off the unit for over $14,000 as I am selling my home. I am an elderly widow with limited means. Since the initial payment in late 2021 thru July 2025, I have paid approximately $11,293.92 to Service Experts. While I take responsibility for my lack of knowledge, I feel that I was informed insufficiently by the company at the time of purchase. Why should an ** unit cost a total of $25,000 for a house of 1700 square feet?Review fromDavid M

1 starTechnician was quick to fix my compressor. It was a capacitor that needed replacement. The company has a standard flat rate to charge $294 for a capacitor. I looked up my compressor model, found the part replaced: it went for $21.11 in one place, about $16 in a other. I talked with a manager of the company, he said they charge a flat on parts. I told him I will not employ them again for this SCAM!!!!Review fromJan G

5 starsOur A/C went out in the evening of the first 118 day in valley. We called several companies including ***** of Air but told Saturday, possibly Monday, from each company. We received a call back aftera short time from ***** of Air, to fit us in! ****** and ***** arrived in the timeframe the company provided.. They were professional and courteous of our situation and our home. They found the problem and made repairs to get our system working. We cant thank you enough! Will use their services again and we will recommend them!Review fromSuzanne C

1 starWe have owned this home for 2 years with NO PROBLEMS AT ALL with our furnace or A/C. We scheduled an annual maintenance check-up with their technicians, & after their visit, our A/C went completely out! They sent a tech out the very next ********** couldn't get it to work. She tried jump starting the compressor to no avail. They sent another tech out the very next ********* stated that we needed a new compressor. We are on their Advantage Program, which is an all inclusive program that includes everything.....service, parts, & labor. This is the 3rd day, & now the Tech Supervisor states that he needs to come out to re-check everything & that his approval is necessary prior to ordering a new compressor. We have already been without A/C for 4 nites, as of tomorrow, now in July....who knows how long it will be? They can't even tell us if the local warehouse has a compressor in stock!!! They just say that the supervisor has to approve the order for the compressor. We are ************ husband is 81 yrs. old with heart problems! I've explained this over & over to them again & again! We have borrowed fans from our friends to get through this ordeal. People need to know how this company treats their Advantage Program *********** senior citizens! Please do NOT purchase anything from this company! I've NEVER had such poor service, & I am a 74 year old full time university professor! I would leave negative stars if this were an option!Review fromMegan G

1 starIn Oct of 21 my husband and I purchased a house and the day after closing the ** went out. My husband went to school with a friend that worked at this business. They came out and quoted us $20K for a 5ton unit for 2k sq ft house. (NOT INCLUDING DUCT) the following week they came and installed everything. A year later we wake up to a pool in our dining room from the ** unit leaking through our tongue and groove ceilings. We call our insurance and they send out a company to dry everything. We called this company and they stated they were supposed to install a pump on this unit and a p trap. Now with 30k dollars of flooring damage and my house insurance increasing. EVERY time we have a problem with our unit THEY point fingers at our duct work. Im sorry but Im paying $20k over the next 10 yrs (the average life of a unit) they have quoted us up to an additional $18k to run the duct work. THAT IS ABSOLUTE ROBBERY! Every time they come to service the unit they find something else wrong with the unit. The most recent visit was this July and the * trap was dirty, you can bet your a** they blamed the duct work. We change the filters that they provide to us regularly. They are the only ones that look, touch and service this unit how is there something wrong EVERY 6 months. My husband and I have even gotten legal advice to get out of the addendum they have you sign when signing up to their advantage program. We also asked the company to send us our payoff amount and they ask that you sign a waiver stating you wont slander the company about your experience. I am beyond frustrated with this company and HATE I have to spend my hard earned money with them. I will never recommend this company to anyone!
