In January of 2021 we signed a contract with ***************************************** of A Better ************ to construct a pool and spa at the site of a home we were building in the *********************** area of Burnet County. We paid a downpayment of $40.000 to start the work. The company dug the pool/spa, installed rebar and applied gunnite. In May of 2021 we met with the owners to discuss expanding the scope of the project to include a patio to surround the pool. We signed a contract for that increased project scope and paid A Better ************ $30,000 to start that work (in addition to finishing the pool/spa. After that time the company installed a tile rim on the pool/spa and delivered some stone tile to be used as coping. Then no further work was performed. Numerous attempts to schedule meetings and have the work were made. The owners would answer to say that a crew would be out to continue the incomplete work, but crews NEVER showed up. Eventually, the owners would not respond to our phone calls, texts, or email messages. With our new home completed (we had a different general contractor who had no connection to A Better ************) but the pool/spa and patio left undone, we decided to hire different subcontractors to finish the pool/spa and patio. The final product looks great, no thanks to A Better ************. The ***************** lied to us repeatedly and would not return money for the work that they failed to deliver. We have since heard that they have defrauded other customers in a similar way. We would like for people to understand the risks of dealing with this deceitful company and thereby avoid significant losses. We did consult our lawyer about this situation. He said that we could proceed in court and probably prevail against A Better ************, but it is unlikely that they would ever repay us for the lost funds, as the company would probably declare insolvency and walk away. On the advice of our lawyer, we decided not to throw more money at the problem.

Just in case people in the community havent heard how terrible A Better ************ is, Ill tell you about my pool project with them in ***********. We signed the contract on November 9th 2021 for a pool with spa and waterfall and also a 12x18 building with a bathroom. We were told they would have no problem finishing the pool by the end of April 2022 for my sons birthday. The pool is still not complete. They agreed in March of 2022 to use a third party contractor to build the pool house. They would then pay the sub with money they received from the loan draws. They still have not paid the sub to this date, putting my house at risk of a lien being brought against it. Since they have taken this money and not paid the sub, I have now over paid for an incomplete pool. They have made countless promises to pay but always come up with an excuse. I have emails from March of 2022 saying that all my pool equipment was paid for and ordered. *** tried to have them at least deliver it to my house. I cant even get proof that they purchased it. When we researched this company, there was only one negative review and a lot of positives. Turns out all the positives were from family and friends. If anyone puts out anything negative, they have their mother in law ********************* send out a cease and desist letter threatening to *** for defamation. Im sure Ill get one for this. They have threatened me to not speak to other customers of theirs as well. This business is owned by ***************************** and Formerly ***************************************. Fun fact, ********* was indicted for felony theft charges in Nueces county. You can look it up yourself on the nueces county website. *********************************************************************************** Another fun fact, **************, one of the biggest pool loan companies in the country, will not do any more projects with them. I have emails and texts to back up everything Im saying here.

We just scheduled this client for completion. Unsure what he is talking about ********************************* never has owned A Better Pool. Also, Ms ******** Indictment is Pending and set for dismissal. This business is in the process of closing but I appreciate Mr ********** feedback. Hes been set for completion. Also, can he send us the so called cease and desists that he is refers g to, this is defamatory if he does not prove up these so called letters. Any letter were sent to those in defamation. In addition, if does not update the listing Ms ******** case as pending and not active this is also Defamation. She will most likely proceed with that and has been given a copy of this post and others. Thank you ***************************** Sole owner of A Better Pool
