      This was my experience with Romex. - I told ********, the salesman, that I am highly allergic to all bug sprays. I even had to leave my job due to my allergies. This was on 7/4/2025.- I agree to Romex ONLY if guaranteed that there would be absolutely NO chemicals sprayed on my property. He says they will do a complimentary serving at our house the next day. 7/5/2025 - He forgets to notate my account that I am allergic to the chemicals and to use organic only at my house.- Highly toxic chemicals that I am allergic to are sprayed all around my house by the Romex technician. - I cancel service (that has never actually started as the first treatment was complimentary) due to a risk to my health. - He apologizes. And wants me to keep using Romex. I say no. ****************** contacts me. Apologizes. Wants me to stay with Romex. - I explain how another mistake can lead to me being taken to the hospital. I ask them to please cancel. ******************. Sorry we made a terrible mistake. If you cancel we will charge you a $250 fee. - They send me a bill for $250.- A complete disregard for my health and well being. They totally admitted fault but if I dont continue their service I am charged $250? Collecting that cancellation fee is much more important than the risk another mistake will be on my health.

      I am filing this complaint regarding a $250 charge from Romex Pest Control for pest control services at my former residence. I had previously informed Romex Pest Control that I no longer live at this address and do not require service there.Despite notifying the company of my move, I was charged $250 for a service I neither needed nor received. I believe this charge is unjust and would like a full refund. I have attempted to resolve this issue directly with Romex Pest Control, but the charge has not been reversed.I am requesting the BBBs assistance in obtaining a refund and ensuring that my account is fully closed with no further charges.Thank you for your help in resolving this matter.

      Worse pests control ever, horrible sales **** who are deceptive, they lie they are overpriced they charge your card like crazy and they have predatory contracts and I am suing them for violating the **** and being deceptive and lying to me and they charged me card an unauthorized cancellation fee of $250.00 they're horrible business with unethical practices the man who called me this morning said he would work on getting the contract resolved and waive the $250.00 cancellation fee because i was lied to and that was also a lie, so now I have more valid basis to sue them because they lied AGAIN because they breached the contract first by charging me in between treatments when that was never authorized so because of the breach of contract the contract is no longer void and i am not responsible for any cancellation fees and they charged me for $250 fee anyways because I have to sue them for being ******** and not understanding the law and now i will sue them for three times the amount and my attorneys fees, Greedy, lying ugly corrupt company that does literally the worse job i never had more bugs than i ever had except when they were working for me they brought the bugs to my house basically - THEY BREACHED THE CONTRACT first they cannot try to enforce it upon me any further now that they breached it and lied to me - their cancellation fee is ******** I should never have to pay it because they already breached their own contract when they charged me for in between service and lies to me about prices and costs of service.

      The sales practices are borderline predatory. As the sales person shows up in your garage as you are coming home with very aggressive sales tactics. As a disabled citizen in concern for my safety being home alone at the time I had to listen to the full pitch as they wouldnt leave the premises even with clearly posted no solicitation signs and advised already have service with another company so Im not interested in paying more for less. As per the T&C I am requested in writing to cancel the agreement on servicing my address ****************** as service was only partially completed for exterior no garage or interior see was attempted or occurred per contract so cancellation policy was followed additional fees should not have been tact on

      So I was basically scammed. Romex salesman made it seem like he was partners with Dons pest control/weed. They are 100% not affiliated. Then we get charged twice ****** dollars equaling almost 340 dollars. I ask to lower the charges and they lower the every other month charges to 89 dollars. How do you cut the price in half and its still the same service. Im new to the area and I just wanted pest control and weed control with dons. I called dons about some pest control issues because Romex didnt solve it and dons was saying they are not affiliated with Romex. So that made me upset so I just want to cancel. Now Im getting told there is a 250 dollar cancellation fee. So basically Im about to get charged 590 dollars for 1 service. Make it make sense please.

      I fell upon a financial hardship and needed to cancel my outrageous 18 month contract with Romex pest control I have completed 12 months of service and absolutely need to cancel the service the person I spoke to said that there is no way to cancel without charging me $250 and they didnt care the reason even if it put me into overdraft at the bank the only option is to go month by month at $99 with a new contract offered me no one else to speak to and said that there are no supervisor at all at their company and no one to speak to other than her a company that cares only about making money off of people that can no longer afford the service. Its shameful and unethical I could never do this to anyone!!!

      I am rejecting this response because:   Im dealing with a family Emergency and Could not answer the phone when I called back less than an hour later. The lady on the phone told me that ****** was not available offered no other solution so I said until I talk to ****** about this ridiculous response that I got From Romex I am absolutely unsatisfied Its nobodys business, but my wife was in a car accident and the medical bills are gonna be outrageous out of everybody. I canceled Romex is the only one. charging me a cancellation fee its obvious they dont care about anything except their precious dollars

      My husband was approached at our home about signing up for pest control services. He signed a 12 month contract, but was assured that we would be able to switch these services to quarterly sprays at any time. We contacted the company after the first spray to switch to quarterly sprays and were informed that while we could change the frequency of sprays, we would still be charged a monthly fee.

      After 11 months of paying this company over ***** dollars, there has been zero change in the mosquito population, that the salesperson assured would be taken care of. The salesperson made a lot of promises, and never mentioned a cancelation fee while standing on my porch. I paid a lot of money, I did not get the service that was promised, so I just want to move on. However, this company is still charging me a ****** dollar cancelation fee. I just want to move on, and perhaps find a company that can help me. But I will not pay a cancelation fee to a company that already has ***** dollars of my money, and did not provide the service agreed upon.

      ****************** Control sold to Romex. Annual service was scheduled by Romex on 04/07 , appt. ***** AM. After multiple phone calls & as many excuses, technician came at 4:40 PM. The bill was paid in full with a check for $389.70. Seven days later received a demand for payment. Check was deposited & cleared bank on 4/22/25. This morning received request for an additional $389.70 for "reoccuring charges". Called customer service asking what the charges were for and how often they would reoccur. This person could not explain. "Have to talk to manager" "someone will call you back". Threat of collection agency. Am still waiting for a call back.
