February 23rd, ******************************************* health insurance. After finding a provider, I was transferred to Millennium Health Advisor & spoke with *********************. He completed the enrollment & set up automatic monthly payments of ******. A month later, I started working with an employer who offers health benefits. I canceled the insurance through Health Sherpa website & confirmed coverage would terminate 4/30/24. Today, I happened to look at my bank account & a transaction of ****** was completed 5/13/24 through amember.com. I would like this payment refunded as the policy was canceled when payment was pulled.Customer Answer

My son was trying to get health insurance since he did not have any so we went on the internet and found a marketplace that offered BCBS. This was in January, 2024. I talked to the gentleman as well and he explained the coverage my son would be getting and stated it would be $119.94 a month. We accepted this amount and I gave him my bank routing and account number. So in January, 2024, they took $119.94 for February, 2024, and in March, 2024, they took $119.94. My son called and cancelled the policy on 3/14/24 because he found a job that had insurance. But when April, 2024 rolled around they still took $119.94. My son called BCBS and they told him that his policy was cancelled and we took it as no more payments would come out. Then May, 2024, and it was taken out again $119.94. I called this time and was told by BCBS that the policy was cancelled on 3/14/24 and that the monthly bill since the policy was opened was $0.00 a month. That is not what we were told in January, 2024. I googled the name that was taking the money from my checking account which was amemberbill.com and found out that this may be a scam. I have contacted my bank and will be putting a stop payment on further deductions from amemberbill.com. How can I get my money back which has been taken from my account?Business Response

The sales agent that produced this sale is likewise not affiliated with **** Our products, however, are often sold to help supplement an insured plan with additional resources or discounts. As it would be a violation of Federal HIPAA laws to give specific account information to someone other than the primary of the account, this is as much information as we can offer for this complaint. After reviewing with our third-party administrator (TPA) who handles the billing and administration for our association, it is our understanding that this individual has been contacted and a resolution made. This is the welcome email I recieved on April 1. I wanted to use my prescription benefit on 4/10/24 to request cancellation now as this package was misrepresented to me. I got a lot of scare tactics that I wouldn**;t be able to get other insurance, I MAY get a refund, etc. IF I do get a refund, I will get it within 10 business days. Now still no refund. Never used the services. Call back today and the run around: sorry cant help, acted like getting a supervisor was an issue. You have never spoken to the Affiliated Workers Association ****** We contacted the third-party administrator (***) that handles the monthly billing and administration of this account and they have never had contact with you either. It seems these interactions were all happening with the insurance agency that sold you these *******s, NXT Level Health based in ***************, *******. Our *** said you purchased one AWA ******* within a suite of several other different *******s at the time of purchase. You will have other emails that explain those other items. Your enrollment email will have the list of what was purchased. You were within the 30-day free-look period so are absolutely entitled to a full refund. I was charged $890.94 for **************** on 4/5/2024 from my account. I have a member ID *******82 and a Transaction ID. I really need for this money to be refunded into my account so that I can buy my husband health insurance. Our association does not offer access to major medical insurance. Please see the attached E sign that we require to be signed by the consumer during membership enrollment at the point of sale. Page 3 states, in bold, that these products are not a substitution for a major medical coverage. On page 1 of this same document is the name of the insurance agent and their agency which sold this plan. If there is an issue with the sales presentation of this product, please contact that entity. We will also follow up with our administrator, as we do not condone misrepresentation. We can assure you that this account is now cancelled and will not bill you any further. I cancelled this policy as of 12/31/2023. I received email confirmation the policy was cancelled on 12/12/2023 (see below)We were charged $****** for the months of Jan, Feb and Mar 2024 for a total of $2,274.93 Plus there was a charge on 12/14/2024 for $719.31. (two days after the email stating there would be no more charges.)On the call the **************** representative (**********) said their notes show it wasn't cancelled for ****, only for ******. That is clearly NOT what the email states. I did not discover the continued charges until March. To clarify the relationship,that phone number was provided to the *** for use with their ******s by their third-party billing administrator (***), ***************************** (PHS). The *** has a contract with this company to handle the billing and administration of their association benefits, but this entity works with other associations, groups and companies as well.
This clarification is also on ************************ where it states, before the ****** Services contact number, We (PHS) have a variety of third-party relationships with numerous carriers,health sharing vendors, vision insurers, dental insurers, prescription benefit providers, telemedicine, and ancillary product providers. We work with these providers to help give access to these products for agencies and agents who are in a position to sell them to the end consumer. We also work with a variety of insurance brokers and agencies to help bring the products to market. We subsequently aid in the collection and remittance of premium and non-insured fees at the time of sale. If your bank or credit card statement lists this URL, then you have purchased a product from an agency that sells association ******ships, as well as other ******ships and programs. The *** is one of these many relationships.
Whatever products were purchased by this consumer, may use the same *** (PHS) as the ***, therefore could have the same service phone number. The fact remains however, that this person is not a ****** of this association and has not transacted any business with the *** at all. Were sorry for the confusion but this is not an *** ****** therefore the *** cannot assist with this complaint. As that is the phone number to PHS, we suggest that you contact PHS directly. If they are the *** for this consumer, they would be the ones to better provide an answer to this complaint.

I was sold health insurance through a company called Healthy Shield, ************************ or **** I am unsure which company I paid b/c this has all been very shady dealings. I was told by selling agent *****************************, ID # ****** that the coverage included both imaging and prescription coverage. When I got the cards, they are discount cards and say "not health insurance" on them. Additionally, when you call them the hold music says "regardless of what we say on this call, the policy documents govern". This company is scamming people into buying insurance that isn't insurance. I need an imaging test done that I specifically asked about when sold the insurance that isn't covered. I want my money back. The first payment was debited on my account with the tag "amemberbill.com" on 10/2 in the amount of $479.31 and then on 11/3 in the amount of $354.31. for a total of $833.62. The phone # for this company is ************ they are out of *****. I would like my money back in full as this insurance didn't actually cover anything.Business Response
