On Sept.19th, I enrolled my daughter at this preschool and informed them the same day of a tuition assistance program offered by my husbands job. It was understood that once all necessary documents including signed monthly attendance were submitted by the end of the month, then they would receive a $400 monthly stipend. Following our acceptance I received an email from the Director *************************** (Oct. 12th) informing me that my tuition due date as the 20th of each month. She then expressed we would have to pay up front or get a late fee as the stipend had not deposited. When I questioned the reimbursement of my payment, she assured me I would receive it when it came in. Yet, on Dec. 14th, when I followed up on the reimbursement, I was told by ************** that I would only get it at the end of the school year and they could not accommodate us. I was forced to withdraw my daughter, as this would not work financially for my family, during our discussion and formally via email on Dec. 15th. My daughter attended this program for 3 months from Sept. 19th - Dec. 15th, which was within my paid period. In total I paid $1,453.30 out of pocket. Records show they did receive the stipend and my reimbursement should have been $1200. On Feb. 6th, I received a check for only $713.30. When questioned I was told the remaining $486.70 was an early withdrawal fee. There was never a discussion, nor was there ever documentation (signed or on their website) that ever indicated such clause. She then attempted to charge me by the number of weeks attended. Which again conflicts with their documents as tuition is only on a monthly basis. When I proved this, they issued another check for $277.14. Once again short by $209.14 in which she made clear she will not give back. I requested to speak with the owner since Feb. 8th and have yet to hear back from him. It is evident that my family is being singled out and penalized for no reason. I would like your help to get back what is owed.
