  On August 2, 2022, BBB contacted Elevated Essence Health & Wellness Spa regarding its advertised claims on their website https://elevatedessencespa.com.

  Some of the claims advertised include services Elevated Essence Health & Wellness Spa provides including platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy.   

  BBB found that there are minimal quality randomized controlled trials that provide scientifically significant results with the use of PRP’s. BBB is also concerned that
  while there have been clinical trials and case studies suggesting PRP’s ability to improve conditions, these studies also conclude that PRP treatment may not have
  an effect on patients.
  
  BBB’s Code of Advertising states advertisers are responsible for truthful and nondeceptive advertising. Advertisers should be able to provide substantiation upon
  request. Advertising that may mislead or deceive consumers should be avoided.

  BBB requested objective, competent, and reliable scientific evidence substantiating the advertisements or discontinue advertising the claims.

  Elevated Essence Health & Wellness Spa advertises claimed results for IV hydration therapy including claims IV
  hydration therapy can “support the immune system”, “helps with appetite suppression”, “improves energy levels”, “increases metabolism”, “helps alleviate
  numerous medical conditions including depression, asthma, migraines, fatigue, fibromyalgia, muscle spasm, upper respiratory tract infections, allergies,
  cardiovascular disease, and other disorders”, “Hormonal Balance” and hypothyroidism amongst other benefits.
  
  BBB Code of Advertising states claims relating to performance, energy savings, safety, efficacy, or results for a product or service should be based on recent and
  competent testing or other objective data.
  
  BBB requested Elevated Essence Health & Wellness Spa  to substantiate the advertised claims by providing evidence from recent, reliable, and competent scientific studies or other objective data including randomized controlled studies substantiating these claims of their specific products or discontinue the advertised claims to address BBB’s concern.

  Elevated Essence Health & Wellness Spa also advertise vitamin injections can "decrease inflammation and promote wound healing”,” Boost your immune
  system and metabolism”, and "an antioxidant helps reduce appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, skin blemishes, hair and nail luster, and aids in liver detoxification.”
  “Vitamin C Shot- Vitamin C is an antioxidant and helps prevent oxidative stress. It also works with enzymes to play a key role in making collagen. Aids in immune
  support.”
  
  BBB Code of Advertising states claims relating to performance, energy savings, safety, efficacy, or results for a product or service should be based on recent and

  BBB requested Elevated Essence Health & Wellness Spa to substantiate the advertised claims regarding claimed results for vitamin shots by providing evidence from recent, reliable, and competent scientific studies or other objective data including randomized controlled studies substantiating these claims of their specific products, or discontinue the advertised claims to address BBB’s concern.

  On August 16, 2022, Elevated Essence Health & Wellness Spa notified BBB they were not interested in continuing with BBB's advertising review process and failed to modify, substantiate or discontinue the advertisements.
