On April 14th, I took my dog Marley to New Braunfels Veterinary Clinic for a check up due to obesity. After multiple exams, I paid close to $500 for this visit. About a week later, my dog began severely coughing and spitting up. A few hours later, my other dog starting having the same symptoms. We NEVER take our dogs out to dog parks and they are not around any other dogs. It was determined after talking to another licensed vet that our dogs may have Kennel Cough (Infectious Tracheobronchitis). I went to New Braunfels Veterinary Clinic on Saturday, April 24th as our dogs were coughing and vomiting all over our house. After showing the video to the staff, they prescribed an antibiotic and steroid for both animals for $122.00. I expressed my frustration with the clerk and told her that I didn't think it was fair for them to charge me for a virus that my dog contracted from their facility. Her response was "Yeah, it's because of the steroids". I would like to fairly request my $122 to be returned to me in full. This has been an awful experience with both of our dogs. We will have to cover the cleaning of our carpets and recover from the sleepless nights as our precious animals recover. I wanted to warn all of the customers in the office waiting so that they wouldn't experience the awful issue that we did but I didn't.
