    Regards,

    BBB of Houston,

I originally brought my car to Christian Brothers in the middle of September 20 24 and yes, I was aware that the following month would be the month that they give back to customers free services at that time. There was water that was leaking into the driver side of the car. I brought my car in to Christian Brothers, ***** the manager took my car. Tell me that they were checking it to find out what theyre needing to repair it. ***** called me back the same day and said that I needed a heater coil  he had been looking and could not locate one, but he would try another couple places. ***** called me again the next day and said they could not locate one and I said what if I look and search for one? I didnt find one locally, but one located in one t that was in ********, ********. It was a whole box that he said he needed and they would receive it in two days after that my car said for three weeks and the same original spot friends family would pass and asked are they working on your car is sitting in the same spot fast forward to the cutting of my car. The technician was cutting open something to release the water out. ***** called me that evening to tell me that the tech had cut into a pipe and they will repair it. For the whole month I was told that my car needed a heater coil Not a evaporator coil. So again, I patiently waited and I waited. I will go pick it up. Take it back, pick it up. Took it back the very last time. Christian Brothers had a tow truck to come get it. I told ****** that the dashboard wasnt completely set back. The light was the radio sits that light was out Which that light is still out at this point. ****** was already agitated with me for even contacting BBB, but at this time, I just felt helpless like totally helpless. November 1 of 2024 ****** called and says My car is ready. I said its ready. He said yes its ready. I was not even told that they had placed a new battery in the car. I tried to even think ******, but he didnt even interact with me at all when I picked my car up Im bringing my car home park it get up the next morning to go to the store. The engine light is on. I Proceed to take it to OReilly to get a scan, which was The document that I uploaded on my second complaint, whatever the tech cut underneath my car gas has leak every since. because my encounter wasnt pleasant as a Client.  Im a older woman, I was handling everything on my own I trusted the ability, the honesty of Christian Brothers to repair my car and they did not so the original statement that they have now sent is totally false and incorrect. I What ****** to uphold The reputation of Christian Brothers to his full capacity I believe that Christian Brothers was a faith, base organization and thats what I trusted in, but thats not what I received.

a call from one of the employees that told me that when one of the service mens were going under the car to open up the area where the water was sitting from the he cut something And they would have to repair that I told them and I trust them to do that and have it repaired when I receive my car back and I just want whatever area that was cut that has the gasoline leaking from the car to be repaired. I just want them to repair the car and I know that I shouldve made sure it was repaired let it go. I shouldve reported it again. I shouldve made sure it was done, but I just felt like hands were tired. I just felt like I didnt wanna cause any more problem to anyone. It is very unsafe for me to drive a car with gasoline leaking.

    Business Response

This vehicle was brought into us in October for our National Day of Service for free repair services. The vehicle was initially diagnosed with a damaged A/C evaporator case and was not draining condensation correctly. After further inspection the technician determined that the A/C evaporator case was cracked and a appeared that another shop or person attempted to repair it. After weeks of searching for a A/C evaporator case it was determined that it was no longer available as new or used. Our technician determined that he should be able to repair it suitably after replacing a piece of plastic and plastic welding it in. During this process the technician accidentally cut into the evaporator core causing a freon leak. Due to this being our fault we replaced the evaporator core at no cost to the customer. Once replaced the technician completed the A/C evaporator case repairs and the condensation began draining outside of the vehicle correctly. Several days after the repairs were completed and the customer picked up the vehicle the customer let us know she had several electrical issues on the dash board. She brought the vehicle back for additional repairs and those were addressed at no cost to her. All repairs and issues were addressed by the end of November 2024. After reviewing this complaint it appears that the vehicle is having a issues with the evaporative emissions system which is not related to or near anything we repaired. We have reached out to ***** ********* and are trying to see what if anything we can do to help. This issue is in no way related to any repairs that were completed at this location at any time. All that we have addressed is the A/C system inside the vehicle.
