I contacted Brandon Tomes Subaru about a used 2023 Subaru BRZ (Stock# 4S8093A) listed for $27,478. After confirming the price, negotiating my trade-in value, and discussing financing with the salesperson (*****), I was told my offer was acceptable. I then sent a breakdown of my calculations and expected monthly payments.***** later informed me the price I used didnt include a mandatory value package priced over $2,000, which was not disclosed in the ad or our initial conversations. I was told this package was non-optional and added to all used vehicles. I declined and said if the package is required, the advertised price is misleading.I believe this is a bait-and-switch tactic, as the dealership knowingly advertised a price that a buyer cannot actually pay. Im requesting the BBB help address this misrepresentation and urge the dealership to revise their advertising practices to reflect the actual sale price, including all required fees.

This dealership has deceptive business practices. I signed the deal sheet for a 2024 Outback and when I met with the finance person and reviewed the numbers it turns out the Sales Director input a term sheet that I did not sign for a higher price on the car. The Sales Director corrected the numbers and I signed the contract. I took pictures of some of the paperwork and when I got home noticed that the dealership overcharged me on the sales tax. Big Red flag!!! Wonder how many other customers that have overlooked this and have been overcharged on sales tax with this dealership? I havent put the down payment down and have not taken possession of the car. I am cancelling the contract due to deceptive business transaction. They try to do the old switcharoo, but this lady is smart and they are dealing with the wrong person. They need to fire some people!

I flew in from ******, ******** in February of this year to purchase a 2019 Subaru Impreza Sport. After discovering that the car still needed service, I was told it would be ready the next morning. I waited several hours the next morning until around 11 am when I was told that I could finally see the car. Upon arriving I was told that the dent specialist had gone home sick. The repairs that were promised to me, after already paying for the car, had not been done. I was told that I'd receive a check in the mail to have the dents and scratches fixed, as well as a part for the passenger side sun visor. It has been 7 months and I have called the dealership SEVERAL times, and have repeatedly been transferred to a manager's inbox and never called back. Since I don't have the passenger side visor attached, the wires that were exposed shorted a fuse in my car and many of the lights as well as the locks to the car had stopped working. I called once again and was able to reach the assistant sales manager *******************. I was told to send the invoice and he would also send over a service record. It has been over a month now and I've once again, heard nothing. I would like to stop playing cat and mouse with this dealership and get the payment for the repairs I was promised when I purchased the vehicle. It is extremely frustrating, as it seems like this is a company-wide strategy to promise things for a sale and then completely disappear when asked about said promise.

So this happened. Went to the Brandon Tomes Subaru to discuss trading up from a 2017 Outback to a **** Outback. Eventually the sales manager queries whether or not I had an estimate for the hail damage on my 2017. My reaction was that it doesn't have hail damage. He insisted that it did on the roof. I won't bore you with the details, suffice it to say they eventually offered me a value $9K below ****** Blue Book if one assumes there was no hail damage. So now I'm left with taking for an independent estimate for hail damage. Before doing so, I took the same 2017 Outback to a ******* dealership in ******** where they offered me $23K. Took it around the corner to the ******** Subaru and they offered me the same. So I guess the ******** dealership(s) are incompetent or the sales manager at Brandon Tomes was misleading me. I completed the purchase of a **** Outback at the ******** Subaru as their pricing did not include added market value or dealer installed options which was the starting point for Brandon Tomes Subaru. My view is that you can reach you own conclusion whether or not you want to do business here since this type of customer treatment starts with the ownership. My recommendation is you should drive past Brandon Tomes and head over to ********.

Bought a 2021 Subaru Forester in 4/2021. Traded it in with another Subaru dealer in 10/2022 for a 2023 Crosstrek. Dealer told me I was due $1900 warranty reimbursement from the Forester and to go thru Brandon ***** to get it. Went to the dealership twice and called once dealing with the business manager. Each time was given a new story, last time was told the “check was lost in the mail” and she was to call me within 10 days. Still no word or check since November. I love Subaru but would not recommend this dealership.

Buyer beware. Bought a 2021 Used Forester and was told it went through their "strenuous" Subaru Certified Pre-owned inspection and all was right with this vehicle. Unbeknownst to me, the vehicle had actually been in a prior wreck in a different state. After some research and getting the CarFax report, I found that the salvage yard that had taken in vehicle after wreck had "repaired it" and then the vehicle went from auto auction to dealership multiple times through multiple states before ending up at Brandon Tomes Subaru. Take note, the prior wreck did not appear on the CarFax report as it was salvaged in a state that did not legally have to report wreck. Basically, the salvage yard that salvaged vehicle did what is called Title Washing, which explains the bouncing from auto auction to dealerships in multiple states. I don't have enough space to fit in all that had occurred with Brandon Tomes Subaru prior to this discovery, but let's just say it seemed they discovered this as well and tried to keep it under wraps by offering to replace the 2021 Used Forester with a brand new 2022 newly designed by me Forester. Very suspicious if you ask me. In the end, I requested my down payment back (which was a beating in itself) and I did not get back. But they did pay off Used vehicle, in which I got a very small amount back from that transaction (not even close to what they gave me for my trade in) and I got the **** away from there. After all the headaches, they had the audacity to tell me that they will work with me on the new car when it comes in. I looked in shock at the salesman and stated that I already bought a car from another dealership. I was carless and had to borrow money from other resources in order to get into another vehicle while dealing with these morons. I love the Subaru brand, but it will be a cold day in **** before I ever step another foot in Brandon Tomes Subaru. I know they do not care, but they lost a long standing customer.

first of all my sincere apologies about what happen, as a dealership, we took the initiative to return the vehicle back and refund the money and cancel the contract, we did purchased this vehicle from the auction and we where NOT aware of the previous damages on the vehicle, we stood behind our Tomes Promise and return the vehicle and we did offer to replace the vehicle if she likes as will! so I am not sure what else to do since we return the vehicle! again I am really sorry about what happen and please understand when we purchased vehicles from the auction, the dealership take a risk as will. So please let me know what else I need to do to make you change your mind about this! Thank you
