Worst customer service. Impossible to speak to a human. Horrible electronic communication. Confusing website and app. Consistently trying to promote refinance and propaganda.

If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. Mr. Cooper is an incredibly unprofessional, disorganized, and unethical company that preys on its clients. As an agent on the sidelines of a buyers refinance, I've seen firsthand just how horrible their service is. They have absolutely no regard for customer satisfaction, and their knowledge of the mortgage process is shockingly ******* start, the interest rates they offer are astronomically high. On top of that, they make false promises and engage in what can only be described as shady business practices. The entire process is frustrating, with endless delays, misinformation, and a complete lack of communication. The most disturbing part of the experience has been the companys refusal to allow a client to access their personal loan information after they decided to fire Mr. Cooper and move on with a new lender. It's like they intentionally make things difficult, holding the client hostage in the process to squeeze out more money. It's negligence at its finest. They continue to drag their feet and create unnecessary roadblocks simply to make more money off of people already in a vulnerable situation. Its beyond frustrating to work with a company that has no respect for its clients and will do anything to avoid doing whats right. Mr. Coopers lack of transparency, poor customer service, and utter disregard for their clients make it impossible to recommend them. Avoid at all costs if you value your time, money, and sanity.Would not recommend. Ever.

I dislike this mortgage company so much. They bought our loan and have been royally messing up since then. They didn't pay our home insurance, sent me threatening letters, so I paid it. Then they paid it a few days later.... Haven't refunded my escrow what they paid to my insurance company since they messed up.I tried to have them stop taking our insurance from escrow. Instead of doing that they stopped taking property taxes out.... I emailed again to get it corrected, still didn't. Called to get it corrected, They sent in multiple requests to get it fixed. Ended up fully closing escrow account, and then now I have to submit paper work to have them open it again to pay property taxes but not home insurance. Bad management, or they've got some bot handling requests improperly on their side. Avoid at all costs. Companies just buy and sell mortgages around and act like its not a hassle for the rest of us and I'm so tired of it. I pay on time, never missed a payment, we shouldn't be traded around so much.

Mr ********************** is a horrible company. They keep telling me that I don't have home insurance, even after I continue to provide them with proof that I do!! Now they are threatening me with a $7000 bill for them to buy home insurance for me. Finally I called, and asked, what don't you get? I have insurance and then the guy on the phone LIED to me and said the insurance company canceled my policy. No they didn't. The people are completely incompetent.

Horrible company and customer service!! I am beyond frustrated that this is who my mortgage company is and cannot move companies or anything! ******* ****** does not listen, talks over you when you have questions and is by far the most unprofessional person Ive ever had the displeasure of speaking to. They do horrible analysts on your account and constantly increase payments on your mortgage. Horrible!!

Took advantage of a skip a payment program they had. No explained my payment would be reported late for the duration of the program. Called to inquire about it, I was told it was a good coaching opportunity for them and they couldnt do anything to help my credit score which was lit on fire due to the late payment status. If I would have known the full scope of the program, including effecting my credit I would have never signed up. In fact I started that call by telling them I was in a bad spot, might not be able to pay my mortgage on time and didnt want to kill my credit score, this was the program they directed me toward. Absolutely shameful, I have no other options but continue with these scam artist. Unless I just sell my house. F*** Mr ***********************

Having the most awful experience with Mr. Cooper not paying the renewal for our homeowners insurance. Our account is always paid on time and up to date! We are now getting notices from the insurance company stating they are still in need of payment and our policy will cancel soon. It is IMPOSSIBLE to speak with a live human and when I emailed them the auto reply says they will get back with us in 7-10 business days. Unfortunately, that will be AFTER the cancellation date. We never chose Mr. Cooper, our account was transferred from a previous lender. Definitely looking to seek legal counsel regarding this and looking into refinancing with another lender. This is so frustrating and disappointing! Should be against the law and they should be ashamed of themselves! In addition to all that has been mentioned, Mr. Cooper has threatened to pick up another insurance policy of their choice if the policy cancels. RIDICULOUS!!!

My bank made an error and paid my mortgage twice. The Mr.cooper customer representative said my money would be here in 5 to 7 days. It took two weeks. They will hold your money as long as they can as they are thieves. I hate this company.

My loan was "sold" to Mr. Cooper recently. I had heard negative things about the company but was dealing with the loss of my husband and continued to keep my mortgage with the company. According to NY City, they intentionally stopped bills for my property taxes from coming to my house. When I did not realize (which I admit was my own oversight), and therefore did not pay my taxes for the past two quarters, Mr. Cooper paid them. They lied and said that they sent letters to me - but I did not receive any until this last one. They now are going to add my property taxes going forward for the entire length of my mortgage to my escrow, which will double my mortgage payments monthly!! I will be retiring soon and this will be unaffordable for me. This is a disgusting, scam company that takes advantage of people intentionally.I am going to have to go through the trouble of reporting them to some government agency, but who knows the amount of effort this will entail. In the meantime, I also paid my property taxes directly (over $8K) and this was taken out of my checking account. ********************** basically told me that was my problem and I have to deal with the government on ******* advice is to RUN from this company.
