    RIP-OFF AND STRESSFUL You are charged for medical records then given the run around for the records. I have to email constantly they will reject a form for one but process the same form for another client. It is a NIGHTMARE using this portal. Also, that they have no records but I call the provider and its a different story. WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD.

    This business charges just for using their platform, even if no records are found. They do not deserve any stars, but it is not an option.

    Chartswap is by far the absolute worst Med Rec / Billing Retrieval Company in this grievous industry!! They are now pre-billing us, STILL not getting us what we now already paid for and they use what sounds like 10 year olds from foreign countries as their customer service agents. I am aware that Chartswap is only a portal we retrieve our completed requests. I feel this is a portal probably owned by the hospitals so they do not have to pay ACTUAL people.

    Get rid if the $30.00 prepayment or your competition is going to get all of our business. ***************** is furious that you've put this added cost onto already inflated prices for medical records. I used to love ********* before this sweeping prepayment. Now, no matter the reason, if I find that I need to cancel a request- I'm already out $30.00 for the service? If one of the other 3rd party fulfillment sites argues with me that I have to resubmit a new request- I'm out $30.00 for the privilege of them giving me excuses? We all wish we could get $30.00 for doing nothing but that's not reality for the rest of us. These added prepayment costs are going to kill jobs. This unfair billing practice is well above other competing ***** ********* records services.
    Please remove the $30.00 Prepayment. We'd be happy to pay the fee - AFTER an actual service has been rendered.

    Zero stars! They are not a billing office, but they are hired by billing offices to help them process billing requests (it's just a portal where requests are uploaded and messaged to the billing offices). We (law firms) now have to pay $30 for the "privilege" of using their website, due BEFORE the request is even forwarded to the billing offices for processing, if an electronic copy is requested. They would rather the billing offices MAIL the requested statements (for which Chartswap charges nothing), but you have to wait twice as long for the snail mail to arrive. How is this helping the billing offices manage their costs in processing legal requests? They have been sued because of their excessive fees, but because they are not the actual billing office, they allege that they don't have to comply with State statutes that limit fees for providing this information. What's stopping them from charging $100 per request? That is unfair to the patients, who have to bear these costs.

    I have been repeatedly trying to get Chartswap to provide our office (law firm) with a Patient History Report and NO ONE helps. Radiology Associates should fire them and hire another company to handle their billing requests. The worst customer service, terrible business practices, and EXTREME waste of time and money. Beyond frustrating. Agree with the below comments and if I could leave ZERO stars, I would!

    They are absolutely the worst billing company!! I work for a law firm and they have sent so many of our client’s bills into collections when they had health insurance and even when this information was sent to then numerous times!!! It’s a constant follow up and nothing ever gets done. Very frustrating!
