About This Business
The Smart Bug Corporation makes a specialty broadcast receiver that is ideal for in-venue radio broadcasts or re-broadcasts. Founded in 2003, Smart Bug's existence seemed meant for the sports industry as a sport-building educational aide and as a fan-enhancement.
In 2016, our "face-front" shifted to the language service industry. Smart Bug was "discovered" by a Houston language interpreter who was especially excited about the cost of our receivers versus those sold by most players in the industry. By 2018, we launched a new web-site introducing our equipment and experience in other fields and ours is a growing name with non-profit groups, language justice practitioners, houses of worship and in educational settings across the country, perhaps notably as a go-to for interpreter's gear for the Los Angeles public school district.
Our receivers - powered by transmitters made by the likes of Comtek, Listen Technologies - became the basis for an interpreter's "boutique" equipment shop. Customer satisfaction is our highest priority and it shows - more than 85 per cent of our sales come from repeat customers or new clients referred to us by an existing client.
