5 starsI'm going into my 4th year of advertising and couldn't be happier. I am a sole proprietor and was specifically looking to build my brand recognition on a local basis. I feel you get a lot of " bang for your ****** through sponsorship with The Stroll. I love the partnerships I have built with homeowners and other sponsors. This magazine sponsorship has brought me so much more than I expected.

1 starI was told that signing up for a 36-month magazine ad would give me a cheaper monthly rate and that I could cancel without penalty after one year. Now, as that year approaches, Ive been informed by my **** *****, that I still owe 25% of the remaining contract if I want to cancel. That was never part of the verbal agreement.This all happened in person, with someone who came off as trustworthy, a dad-like, friendly guy I thought I could believe. Unfortunately, that trust was ************ make matters worse, they published the wrong phone number in my ad for the first five months. I had provided the correct one, and they acknowledged it was their mistake. Their only apology? Offering a slightly larger ad spread for a month. Not at all helpful when the damage was already done.I havent seen a single client from this investment.Dont fall for it. I wish I had looked into them more before signing anything. 1 starI signed up for this magazine through ****** *****. It seemed to be great to market in this neighborhood. However, the sales *** was very misleading and vague on certain aspects of what they are offering. For example: having a meet and greet with the community, in the contract says it is not promised or they will not have them. Trusted the sales *** because he was Christian and he used it against me to sign a three year contract when I get t a weak moment . I would be very cautious for any business before proceeding. If he was an honest and respectable person I would have not mind signing and I wanted to do a year. For the sales person to lie, I am very disappointed. For businesses: I would do research and look into them before making a decision. I attached the contract below.*********************************************************The N2 Company

Hello. As you mentioned, our advertising contract includes a commitment to reserve space in each issue to run your ad. Invites to community events are an extra perk our local publishers provide at no added cost to our advertising partners. It makes sense for our publisher to mention hosting local events that will bring advertisers and readers together because he does throw such events despite this not being something he is contractually obligated to do. We agree with your recommendation for other businesses to do their research and understand the contract fully before signing (like we would recommend for any contract a business owner signs).
