To prevent other customers from experiencing the same, I highly recommend to avoid this company. Yesterday I hired them to install seven recessed LED fixtures, and soon after realized that I was being charged a mark-up of $400 per installation of each $30 fixture. In essence Mr Sparky is telling me they require $400 to cover costs and obtain profits on a $30 fixture. To add insult, one of the owners told me that he would accept the same bill if an electrician did the same work on his home - unbelievable. What does that say about their leadership? As a facilities Exec. I will be sure to share this story with all my peers in the DFW area. Customers please carefully scrutinize your estimates from this company - it is not your worth the gouging experience.

I called Mister Sparky to come assess 3 outlets that were not working. I was initially very impressed with the ease of setting up the service, as well as the entire system used for confirmation. The gentleman who came to my home, Jason, explained to me that he could not fix my outlets before first replacing my entire interior electrical panel because it was so outdated and dangerous. He took me out to the garage and took off the breaker for my air conditioning unit, and proceeded to show me what he identified as a burnt bust bar. At length, he pressured me to spend between $6,000 and $8,000 to make improvements. When I called my husband and told Jason that I would need a second opinion before spending that much money, he assured me that if I even went so far as to return the a/c breaker back on the panel, it would likely break my AC, and possibly cause a house fire. He was so aggressive in his pressure for me to spend thousands and thousands of dollars, that he demanded my drivers license and made me sign a liability form releasing him of any damage done after he left the property. He pressured me for OVER AN HOUR! Of course I was panicked, and immediately began calling other electricians. Within 24 hours, I had three other MASTER electricians out to my house to assess my panel and broken outlets. All three electricians told me that the electrician, Jason, from Mister Sparky lied to me. None of them thought it was necessary for my panel to be replaced. Two of them told me that they have come after Mister Sparky on numerous occasions and had a similar experience. I paid one of these electricians $150 to fix my outlets, and he was done in less than an hour. I am so thankful I withstood the intense pressure put on me by Jason and went on to get a second, third, and even fourth opinion. Stay away from Mister Sparky!!
