I am filing this complaint against Epsilon for violating my privacy and ignoring multiple formal requests to stop using and distributing my personal information for marketing purposes. In late February 2025, I received unsolicited postal mail from REMOVEDof McKinneyone of Epsilons dealership clientswhich contained personally targeted content referencing my households ownership of a specific vehicle. On 3/14/2025, I contacted Epsilon to opt out of all communications and requested confirmation that my data would be removed. I received written confirmation from their representative that my data had been deleted on both 3/17 and 3/31.On 4/15/2025, I received unsolicited postal mail again from REMOVEDof McKinneyvia Epsilon. This mailer was sent after I opted out and specifically requested no further communication. I reached out to Epsilon to clarify how my data was in use, and their representative admitted in writing that the piece was sent due to a VIN matchmeaning they used my personal data and paired it with a vehicle I owned or was linked to. However, I, nor has anyone in my household, ever owned or leased a REMOVEDvehicle. This indicates that Epsilon not only retained or re-accessed my personal data but actively used it for profiling and targeting despite my opt-out. I sent several follow-up emails requesting a full explanation, the source of the data, and what steps they had taken to ensure compliance. As of the deadline I provided (5/2,/2025), Epsilon has failed to respond further.I believe Epsilon is violating my rights as a consumer and mishandling sensitive personal information. Their lack of transparency, refusal to follow through on data deletion, and failure to address my concerns in good faith are unacceptable.
