Dear *********** am writing to file a formal complaint against All Over Exterior Roofing, a BBB Accredited Business, regarding unethical billing practices. The details of my experience are outlined below: Contract Details:I entered into a contract with All Over Exterior Roofing for the whole roof replacement services, which included provisions for the replacement of rotten plywood decking as needed. According to the contract, the roofer agreed to replace up to three sheets of plywood measuring 4 ft x 8 ft at no additional cost. Any additional plywood replacements beyond the three sheets would incur a charge of $85 per sheet. The contract was signed on March *******, and the whole roof replacement job was done on March 23, 2024. The contract amount is $10,495.59. I have paid in full for the contract amount. However, the roofer claimed that he made 13 sheets of plywood replacement on the roof, which is $850 additional charge to the original contract amount. Based on my observation listed below, there 13 sheets of plywood are un-necessary. I would like to dispute this additional bill of $850. Issues Encountered:Lack of Documentation: Despite assurances that the roofer would document the entire roofing process with drone footage and photographs, I received no photographic evidence of the initial stage, where the old shingles and underlayment were removed. No photographic evidence of the rotten area on the deck before the existing plywood in those areas was removed. This absence of documentation raises concerns about the transparency of the work performed. Excessive Plywood Replacement: The roofer claimed to have replaced a total of 13 sheets of plywood due to extensive rotting, necessitating an additional charge of $850. However, during my in-person inspection and photos that I took, I discovered that a significant amount of the removed plywood appeared to be in good condition and was needlessly replaced. Moreover, I observed and took pictures of unused plywood being discarded in the roofer's trailer, suggesting a possible attempt to inflate the bill. List of Photos:Please see a list of photos, some taken by the roofing company, and some taken by me, I believe that these photos are the evidence that supports my claims, suggesting a possible attempt to inflate the bill. I would like to dispute this additional bill of $850.Thanks,*****

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ******** and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.

I am writing to express my continued dissatisfaction with the reply from ***** ******, Owner of AllOver Exterior Roofing.

His response was: we proposed to Ms. ***** that we would waive the $850 debt she owes us if she agrees to remove the negative reviews that have been damaging our reputation.

Julios proposal expressed that I owe him $850.  However, per my complaint, this amount is an excessive charge and I have serious doubts regarding the legitimacy of this additional charge. This is what is in dispute, and not the amount that I owe him.

Julios explanation regarding legal constraints does not directly address my core concern. While I understand the need for adherence to industry regulations, my inquiry pertains specifically to the justification for the excessive replacement of plywood.  And this question from me remains unanswered in his response. Government regulations regarding damaged plywood does not ask the roofer to remove and replace many pieces of completely un-damaged plywood.  And I am still waiting to receive his explanation regarding why many areas of un-damaged plywood (as shown in my photos) were removed and replaced, as well as why so many good pieces of plywood were removed from the roof and placed in the trash.

***** asked me to remove the negative reviews about his company.

My intention in sharing my experience is not to damage the reputation unjustly, but rather to inform other consumers of my firsthand experience. As a consumer, I believe in transparency and accountability, principles that extend beyond the resolution of this individual dispute.
I have no intention of withdrawing my complaint.

In light of the circumstances outlined above, I reiterate my request for a full adjustment of the billing of $850 to demonstrate a commitment to a fair and equitable resolution.

I await Julios, All Over Exterior Roofing, reconsideration and I look forward to reaching an amicable resolution to this matter.

    Sincerely,
    ***** **

    Regards,
