This law firm contacted me saying that they believed the ******************** Blanket was allegedly used in my surgeries that caused my infection. They were supposed to represent me and help me but all theyve done is drag there feet and could NEVER even verify if the blanket was indeed used in my surgeries. I had both of my hips replaced. My left hip had to be replaced four times. My life was changed forever due to these surgeries. Called again 2/26/25 and was told my case was closed due to no response. Asked to please be transferred to their superior and was transferred to ****, the same man I told them I did not want to speak with. He claims I closed my own case, which is INCORRECT. Every time Ive contacted them NO ONE could verify if the blanket was used on me. I was told by a female that they only chose certain cases and mine was not one of them. All I wanted to find out today was if in their findings they could indeed verify if that blanket was used and instead I got the run around, transferred and placed on hold for long periods of time. I would not recommend this company to ANYONE. I gave them access to all of my personal medical information about my surgeries and find it crazy they couldnt even verify the blanket used. I did not pursue other legal action about my surgeries as I was waiting to hear from them. Theyve stolen a great amount of time from me that I can not get back. Im now supposedly to receive a call from another attorney at their firm tomorrow.Business Response

I have not heard from them since April 2024. I have now left 4 messages, contacted through live chat twice & texted through their website once. No one has called back & the live chat ended the conversation when I shared my concerns on releasing my private medical records with a firm that is not maintaining communication. This is Bad practice. The website states they are BBB accredited with a link to this site that firmly explains they are not! I wish Id seen these complaints sooner. I plan to contact the ** bar & seek another attorney to protect my personal medical records & re-file the claim Ive already been waiting for any kind of progress on since 5/2023.Initial Complaint

I am part of the round up settlement for the estate of my father ******* kenneth ******* It has been 3 years, i was assigned a paralegal that no longer works there, she kept me updated. Now no information, except waiting to be filed. Poor communication for an attorney, I have given them.all the information needed medical records. My case has not even been filed after 3 years. This is very concerning, to lead people on and make them think there is a case.Business Response

When I first hired this firm Mr. Worley and I had a phone conversation where I presented a list of questions I had for the firm to look into after my mother died. Worley was to get back to me with the responses. He never contacted me in any form again. He passed me off to another lawyer but I never received the answers to my original questions. Also at no time did anyone at the firm go over how a probate process works or what to watch out for. It would have been very helpful since I had zero experience. This resulted in me signing forms that cost me a lot of money. I feel as if they took my money & left me in the dark to navigate is on my own. So I ended up signing a receipt & release document and then went back five minutes later to pick it back up from my sister. I told Michelle my lawyer and she was going to file some form to ensure that the receipt & release would not be valid if my sister took a copy of it in the five minutes she had it in her possession. I do not know if this form was ever filed with the courts or what it is called and I’ve been trying to get a return call from Michelle for over a year now. I am harassed when I call the office and never put through to Michelle, her phone mail box is full, I’ve mailed her a letter which I had sent a small check with and it was cashed but I’ve still not heard from her! I’ve left her many text messages and still nothing! I just need to know ******* or not she indeed filed the form about the receipt & release or not and if not why not because it’s cost me hundreds of thousands of dollars! I don’t know what to do and never had a law firm be so unprofessional before. I do not know anything about legal matters that why I hired them to help me. I’m VERY UPSET with how I’ve been treated and feel they stole my money and I got very little guidance in turn.Customer Answer

The reason I couldn't put a dispute in for less than 12 months is because this has been going on for years my mother was involved in a lawsuit that won in her favor and they hired McDonald Worley to represent for this IVC filter case. While the entire case got paid out other than a select few individuals my mother being one of them this company has been giving us the run around for years none of the answers are consistent every time a family member calls in to find out where our settlement is and in today's economy we are strapped for cash I spoke to a senior attorney there Scott Frazier who promised the funds within a month and then it's been a series of months after while asking desperately for an update there is zero communication to a client and it is extremely unprofessional I've read the same reviews on Google and I believe that Better Business Bureau needs to know about it. You take a lot of risk working with lawyers and they should make you feel comfortable working with them. Now that they have their money they could care less about the client it seems. they owe a settlement to our family check for thousands. They allude to resolution being done and then ignore for months. promise call backs , etc. They make it extremely frustarting in a time of clients needs. Even after losing our mother to helth complications and the will coming to us, they still show zero empathy towards the fact that we had to fork the money to bury her and can get this check to help primsed YEARS AGO.
The complaint is more geared towards there inconsistent repsonses (a new one each time you calll in _ reading email and ignoring the frustration and request form client. promising exact timlines and not fulfilling and providing no reason as to why.Business Response

Hi Jarrod,
I wanted to let you know that our attorneys and staff have been in touch with you and your family via email and phone throughout the settlement process. We did experience some delays while resolving medical liens and reducing case expenses, which affected when we could issue the payment.
Please understand that these delays were not due to a lack of concern for you or Mrs. *******. We responded to your attempts to contact us as quickly as we could.
You signed the closing statement on August 2nd, and you received the check on Friday August 16th. I hope this resolves your concerns about how we've handled your case.Initial Complaint

I am writing on behalf of my son ******* ******* #******* He is housed at ******************************. He had a hernia mesh surgery in 2019 with severe complications. Had to go back to get it repaired. So we searched for a lawyer and we found *************. We send all the paperwork in that was needed and they took the case. But they gave our case over to Mcdonald Worley Law firm because they said they were good in handling the kind of hernia case my son had. We have been waiting now for three and half years if I still remember. I just want to be sure that we have not been misled or misrepresented in any way. We are living in a untrustworthy world and need to be very careful in trusting everything that people tell us without proof. I really would appreciate it if you can help us to feel more satisfied in what we have been told concerning my son's hernia case. Sincerely ***************** you for your help!Business Response

Regards,
Good afternoon I send the power of attorney off on the 12th of March. I am still interested in your help concerning a settlement for my son's case. We have not heard anything concerning the settlement. The last person son spoke to was trying to force him to take option 3 which is ****** before they take out what we oew them. One person said he will be getting ****** and the judge said everyone should get the lump sum no later than March. My son still have not heard anything. All I want is for my son to get his share of the settlement that is due to him. These people have been giving us the run around for quite sometime. I feel that they are trying to keep most of the money because my son is incarcerated and really cant fight for his money. But I am trying to do all I can to make sure he is paid and is not taken advantage of, that's why I am reaching out to you for the help that we need to fight for my son's settlement. So what will be the next step and have you heard anything back from them. I will try to call on Monday after I get off work, so that I can understand what else do I need to do. Thank you for your hard work. Sincerely Mrs **********Business Response

I have been working with McDonald/ ****** Law Firm out of Texas since 2018 when i agreed to hire them for hernia mesh lawsuits. When initially in paperwork and medical records process there was a lot of communication via phone and email. Once this was put into litigation and trials came and went and nothing, no mention of settlements, no mention of ANYTHING. EVERY client gets the same response, 'these MLD cases take time and we will reach out when there is news. THEY DO NOT!!!!! It is all a smoke screen, and they KEEP accepting new cases to shorten ANY settlements for others, JUST to pad their pockets. I have had 9 hernia mesh surgeries since 1998 and THIS firm does not care about a single client's health or well being. At the very least i would like DON to talk to me on where this is at and possible settlement amounts. I believe this firm is scamming people and using our information to get money for their selves. I will not refer them to anyone because of how they treat people.Business Response

John, I apologize for any
dissatisfaction you may have experienced regarding our communication with you.
We attempted to reach you by phone to speak directly about the matter, but we
were unable to connect. We will try again to ensure we have your current contact
information if you are not receiving our monthly updates.Your lawsuit has been filed and
served, and we are now waiting for a potential offer to be made based on your
case and injury level. We understand that this process can be lengthy and
appreciate your patience. Unfortunately, we cannot predict how long negotiations
will take since we have no control over the defense's response time. Until a
settlement is reached, there will not be much change on the monthly updates. We hope to speak with you soon and
appreciate your understanding during this difficult time.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.
[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.]This, as with multiple other complaints filed with the BBB, is a generic response to "quote un quote" try and mitigate the false information this firm gives to clients. When questioned upon retaining services they say a settlement and/or finalization takes about 1-3 years. THIS HAS BEEN 5, and with the MLD filed, they are still taking more clients and adding to the case load which is MORE money in the end for them and MUCH less for any clients. I would like answers, some form of concrete direction this is headed and what exactly they are looking for settlement wise. When approached I get NO ANSWERS.

Don ****** has been accused of scamming multiple people over the years involved with hernia mesh lawsuits. There are hundreds of complaints ALL saying the same thing. This firm takes on an over abundance of clients to "steal" "profit" as much as possible with case load. The current case number for the CRBARD is over 24,000 cases and counting as they keep adding and they avoid helping ANY client. They lead clients on with false information and have legal aides do all the work in computer reply the same bullshit paragraphs to everyone. They ARE NOT out for the best interest of the client or injuries, they are bottom feeders with one goal and that is try to accumulate as many clients and rip them off if a settlement happens. So as an example of hard math, if the contigency based % is 33% and a settlement was 60000 dollars for each client, and there is 24,000 clients/cases, that means DON ****** makes $432,000,000 million dollars off this. Tell me where the logic is in helping clients then

Not sure how to respond to this. I have not been accused of stealing money from anyone and I have not stolen any money. There has been no hernia mesh settlement yet so there would actually be no money to steal. I understand that you are frustrated with the leave of time these types of cases to resolve. We are certainly frustrated also. But I think it best that you find another attorney to help you. We are in the business of helping people but not someone who falsely accuses me of stealing. Let me know if your new attorney needs anything from me and good luck in the future. - Don ******Customer Answer

I accept the fact I was in the wrong for this and regret the harsh comments. They supppsedly have been working on a suite on my late husband hernia mesh implant but its been over 13 years n still nothing. Ive repeatedly over the years tried to keep up dated only to get same excuse. "We need more info"..
I have SEVERAL times given them any all info they have requested.. after dozens oc times i refused to keep sebding same info.
I believe theyre just giving me a run around push.
Idk if theyve gotten paid on the case n not wanting to let me know truth or not. Or if theyre just stalking it til time expires or what.. I know it shouldnt take no 13 yrs to solve.
I want this settled!!
They have all the information theyve ever requested for me to get which was their job to so in the first place. Dont mean to be rude but an occasional email now n again requesting SAME info over n over is bull. Ive even called n told them this. Just to keep being told same line. We need more info.. i call bull.Business Response
