I haven't received refund settlement in 3M case. My claimaint ID# ******, initially when i receive notification of settlement i elected to receive paper check but i was then able to go and change my method of payment to direct deposit. After a few days of calling I was advised that they would have to inquire with ******** to see what the hold up was. I called on May 5, 2025 and was advised to call back on Friday May 9, 2025. I ended called today May 7, 2025 to just follow up, I was advised that my banking information was incorrectly entered and it would have to be a paper issued check.I inquired about a reference # for this mishap and I was advised that there wasn't one to provide and I would have to wait another few weeks to see if I get a check in the mail.I would just like clarity on what day are my funds expected and some sort of tracking #, especially if a check is getting sent in the mail.Any assistance would be appericated.

There are ******* veterans involved with the 3M ear plugs lawsuit. Johnson Law group is charging all veterans 40% of their settlements. Out of $10,000, all I will see is about $6000. Just running some numbers.....Veterans will see a total payout $2.5 billion. Out of that, the veterans will see a total of $1.5 billion, with this law group making themselves $1,000,000,000 off the veterans alone. This is highway robbery. I am supposed to see $10,000, but all I will see is $6000. This is ridiculous

Mr. ******** The attorneys fees and expenses are calculated pursuant to the individual Power of Attorney (POA) contract you signed to begin your case. Each individual with a claim against 3M for the Combat Arms Earplugs retained an attorney and signed an individual POA. When your settlement funds are released by **********, the settlement administrator, you will receive an itemized settlement statement for your claim. I am represented by Johnson Law Group for the ** earplug case. This company has been difficult to work with as I have had to repeatedly advocate for myself. I am a medical professional, and I am aware of the requirements and my qualifications for the suit. They repeatedly kept placing me in the quick payout group. It was not until I requested to speak with one of the actual lawyers that they saw that I did in fact, qualify for the additional payout. Afterwards, my case was misfiled for quick payout again until I complained, and it was reassigned.
As part of this further payout, I am to receive a small amount minus their share. They have been awarded this since October 2024, and I have not yet received my portion. I was told that a check was sent in December and was promised a follow-up. my last contact was January 2025, and still no contact, no check. As I look through the BBB complaints, I see that I am not the only one they have done this to.

I hired Johnson law in 2022, I was under the impression I was in involved in the ***** class action essure lawsuit - which is what I searched for and was trying to sign up for. I have since found out that I am involved in a secondary lawsuit. I was not aware of this until two years later -in the last two years communication has been very poor -as it taken two years for me to figure out I was not waiting for a settlement. I was originally told in my consultation that they needed my medical records to verify that I could be a member of this lawsuit, Ive been told that that was not the case and I should re-read the documents I signed. They informed me I was not waiting for a class action lawsuit, but I was involved in an entirely different lawsuit. There is also a co-counsel Secondary (lawyers)? That were hired to the case, which may be why I get very little communication. My last communication I was told that ***** was to respond to the lawsuit in early July- Regarding a settlement and I would hear from them via mail or phone call immediately. It is now the end of August and I have heard nothing from them again. Ive been entirely confused throughout this entire ordeal, And never wouldve joined this lawsuit Had been thoroughly explained this by a person. Not just documents I signed. I trusted the person I talk to via phone calls, Especially after reading all the information on their website about the class action lawsuit about essure. They were very quick to get my medical records and have me sign documents- and after that happened Ive been thoroughly confused. have no idea if Im waiting for a settlement, a lawsuit to be filed. No clue. ******** *****

Unfortunately, Ms. ***** seems to have misunderstood some of our communications regarding her case. We have been in regular communication with Ms. ***** regarding the status of her claim and recently attempted to contact her multiple times via phone and email to try and clear up her misunderstanding that led to her complaint. Ms. ******* is not involved in and has never been involved in a class action. This appears to be the underlying cause of her misunderstanding. Her case is an individual claim for personal injuries, which cannot realistically be pursued in a class action setting. There are no secondary claims being pursued. Our firm, along with our co-counsel on the matter, who was disclosed initially and is identified in our contract, are both working on the single case that she has asked our offices to investigate and pursue.

Furthermore, Ms. ***** has been kept apprised of her case via regular updates by email and her calls are answered or timely returned. Again, we are still attempting to get in touch with Ms. ***** after she filed this complaint and we will continue reaching out in hopes of assisting her in better understanding the complex litigation landscape.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.

Having just gotten back from a vacation I can confirm that Johnson law group did try to finally call me two times while I was out of the country. I have read their response on here and do NOW understand that I was never involved in the class action. That was explained to me per or last conversation (August) when the paralegal finally called me - that was not the impression I was given in the beginning. Obviously I would not have inquired so many time via email (which I still have) had I not been under this impression. The final straw was being told I would be contacted after ***** accepted or rejected the offer the first week of July. So again I was going to email and call and wait again for a response.
thats why the complaint is now on here-  terrible communication. Obviously this is not time sensitive matter which is what I was told in the beginning when they asked if I could obtain my medical records instead of them requesting them (which I would not do) its going to be  long long lawsuit - which will probably take years. I get that

I did have high hopes after the last conversation that I was going to be notified by mail or call (or both) in early July  but that never happened. I noticed this was not addressed by Johnsons response.
So I still have no idea if ***** accepted or rejected the offer - I will assume the latter and this will have no end.
    Regards,

      ******** Rusch

Johnson Law Group has attempted to reach Ms. ***** again to resolve her noted concerns, but to date has not been able to speak with her. If a settlement offer was tendered by ***** on Ms. ******* claim, said offer would have been communicated immediately. To date, an individual offer has not been made so Johnson Law Group cannot communicate that which has not occurred. After filing her complaint with the BBB, Ms. ***** has neither called or emailed our office to clear up her misunderstandings. We continue to try and reach ******** to resolve her concerns.

Complaint: Misrepresentation, Poor Communication, Unreasonable Delays, and Excessive Fees I am filing this complaint against Johnson Law Group due to several serious issues I encountered while working with them. As a disabled veteran seeking legal assistance, I expected a high level of professionalism and integrity, but my experience was far from that.1.Misrepresentation: The law group initially promised that they had extensive experience handling cases like mine, but it became clear over time that this was not true. They provided incorrect information about my case, leading to confusion and setbacks.2.Poor Communication: Throughout the process, the communication from Johnson Law Group was extremely poor. They were often unresponsive to my calls and emails, and when I did receive a response, it was vague and unhelpful. I was left in the dark about important developments in my case.3.Unreasonable Delays: The law group took an excessive amount of time to handle my case. What should have been resolved in a few months dragged on for over a years, with little progress. These delays caused me significant stress and hardship.4.Excessive Fees: Despite the lack of progress and poor service, Johnson Law Group charged exorbitant fees. I was billed for time that seemed unnecessary, and the total cost ended up being far higher than what I was initially quoted. This is especially concerning given the lack of results.I am deeply disappointed and feel that I have been taken advantage of by Johnson Law Group. I am requesting a review of their practices and a refund of some of the fees I was charged, given the poor service I received. No disabled veteran client should have to go through such an experience.

Johnson Law Group has extensive experience handling mass tort claims such as Mr. ********* Johnson Law Group provided Mr. ******* updates on his case, and he was able to speak with members of our team ************ addition to sending update emails, our team reached out and spoke with ********** on at least five occasions to discuss his case. We reviewed Mr.******** file and could find any record of a time he reached out and did not either speak to a member of our team or receive a prompt response.

There was a single miscommunication with Mr. ******* that was immediately corrected. Mr. ******* was told the settlement amount we expected to recover for him after a reconsideration application was submitted rather than the actual-awarded settlement amount at the time. This was clarified within minutes and caused no delay in his case. There were no excessive delays in Mr. ******** case. Mass tort litigation often takes years to complete. Mr. ******* is part of a global settlement which includes all claimants across all law firms. Completion of his settlement and the distribution of settlement funds were done in accordance with a schedule established by the Court. There has been no delay in completing Mr. ********* settlement.

Johnson Law Group's fees are reasonable and not outside industry standards. Johnson Law Group's contingent fees are a percentage of the total recovery we make for the client. Mr. ******* was informed of and agreed to our percentage fee when he signed us to represent him in this litigation. We have never billed Mr. ******* for time and the attorneys fees will not be assessed until the settlement funds have been received and are ready to distribute to Mr. ******** An attorney from our office called Mr. ******* recently to address these concerns at length.

The answer sounds like political speak, no real answers, or proposed actions. The facts are I still dont know any settlement figures. I havent talked to an actual attorney just assists. The only number I do know is the 40% they are taking. The only communications I have had are miscommunications, minimal effort but taking maximum (not industry average like they claim) rates, 40%.

Mr. ******* You spoke with Attorney *** ****** on August 9, 2023, about the settlement process and the status of your case. The reason you do not have a settlement statement yet with exact amounts is because we are still working the settlement administrator BrownGreer and the Special Master to confirm your final gross allocation. We believe you should be in Level 3A Recorded Tinnitus under the Expeditated Payment Program settlement criteria that was fully disclosed on the Registration Form you signed in January. We submitted a Reconsideration Request because the Special Master placed you in Level 2 on the Notice of Expedited Payment Program Award Determination that was issued. You may find it helpful to view and confirm your current case information in the Combat Arms Settlement Portal. You can log into the settlement portal at ************************************ using your email address and demographic information. If you need assistance with this, please let us know and we can assist you. Once a Final Notice Award Determination is issued on your case we will provide you with an itemized settlement statement. It is not Johnson Law Groups policy to re-negotiate fees at the time of settlement. We will email you a copy of the Power of Attorney contract you signed to begin your 3M Combat Arms Case. We will keep you informed about the Reconsideration Process but, pursuant to BrownGreer, this process may take about 30 days. We will contact you once we have the Final Notice, but you are also welcome to contact our office directly or review the settlement portal at any time if you have further questions.
