            I purchased a "3 Year EV Code Signing" on November 29, 2022 (Order ID: ************). The same day, I realized I did not need this product. Their website clearly states "30 day no questions asked refund." I had a conversation where I clearly requested a refund with online support agent Carlo ****** on November 29 (day of purchase). See attached. I attempted an online conversation with support agent "Ferdinand" on December 15 (see attached). Although agent never answered, this began an email conversation where I again with Jiesel ********** that lasted until December 21 (see attached). On January 4th, I discovered I had been charged an additional $100 by SSL.com for "Cloud Services" (see attached). I immediately called their help desk and spoke to "Russell." He confirmed that: - My refund was still awaiting approval - Had an online conversation with Carlo ****** on November 29 (day of purchase) requesting refund - Had an email conversation with Jiesel ********** spanning December 16-21 again requesting refund - Would additionally request that the $100 cloud service charge from Jan 1 would be refunded as well I am placing this complaint with the BBB because I frankly do not trust them at this point to provide the refund that they have been promising for the last two months.

            We did business with this company in 2021, paid $350 for a 1-year EV code signing certificate, end of story (like it should be). Fast forward to 2024, their website is now very difficult to use, with tons of tiny print, and we cannot talk to anybody in support. We paid $350 for another 1-year EV code signing certificate. By default (unknown to us) they now sign you up for $100/month additional for "cloud" code signing, and send you no monthly warning that your credit card is about to be charged. Or you can pay $250 extra for a USB memory stick. So in the end, it appears to be impossible to sign any code at all for the $350 fee unless you do it within the first 30 days. This is textbook deceptive business practices. We got scammed. Look elsewhere for your EV code signing certificates.

            Thank you Bruce for your feedback. As part of ordering a certificate, you had the option to either enroll into eSigner subscription service or purchase a token. There was an option that had been selected during the order fulfillment process to allow for the eSigner issuance to occur. The best way to get in touch with our support team is either by email [email protected] or chatting in at SSL.com from the bottom right corner. We have also improved the ordering process to help prevent these kind of situations going forward. We also remain competitively priced compared to other Certificate Authority.
