Adaptive Driving Houston Texas Do not purchase from this company. We purchased a used 2011 Toyota handicap van from Brent ***. We purchased a complete conversion package. We assumed that this company would install the package and update the van to the current standards. I would have been okay with paying for anything that was not included in the package. When we got the van, the muffler was so low to the ground it scraped going over any incline. We could not drive the van up our driveway ramp to park it. The van is extremely noisy on the highway. You cannot hear the radio or speak to anyone unless you almost yell. Numerous dashboard warning lights kept going off. I took the van to our master mechanic and spent $1000 to get the whole exhaust system replaced. My mechanic said that the resonator was removed when the muffler was first replaced. I've spent over $1000 in sound-proofing and the van is still extremely noisy. Everytime my mechanic looks at this van he says "Who did this shoddy work". The spare tire does not fit in the trunk unless its full deflated. I have to carry a compressor in case I need to use the spare. I talked to the manager Mike Murphy about all the money I spent in sound-proofing and repairs. He said that he would split the cost of the repairs and send me a check. A month later Mike called me and said the check was on the way. I never received a check. Mike told me that the sound-proofing, spare tire and other things were additional options that were included in newer vans. I would have been happy to pay for those options, if I would have been told about them. My wife calls this van our $15K mistake. This is the worse car buying experience I have ever had and we will NEVER buy another handicap van from this company.
