We have a paid home warranty through HWA. On Sunday (1/9/22) our hot water heater suddenly stopped working. We filed a claim with HWA and they sent a hot water heater specialist of their choosing (Pipetechs Plumbing, 919-293-1221) out to our house on Monday who determined we needed the water heater to be replaced. Since that time, we have called HWA daily and they have repeatedly said they need additional information from the plumbing company to even move the claim towards an approval process which can take an additional 3-5 business days. Despite 3 days of attempting to make progress, they still claim they do not have the information needed to move the claim forward. We have spoken directly with the plumbing company who has sent all information requested multiple times to HWA. I have asked to speak to a supervisor with HWA and they have not contacted me. We are now going on 4 days without hot water with freezing temperatures outside and have two children under age 3. I do not know what else to do at this point as it appears HWA is intentionally avoiding processing our claim.
