- If a customer was enrolled with LifeEnergy without their authorization, for Texas customers, they initiate a process to have the customer returned to their provider of choice without an early termination fee. If other states, LifeEnergy will drop the customer's account, waive any early termination fees, and process a re-rate refund if the rate was higher than the rate of the customer's local utility. Also, LifeEnergy adheres to the applicable rescission periods in each state which ensures that customers are not assessed an early termination fee if they choose to cancel their enrolment within their rescission period. The typical rescission period ranges from 3 to 10 calendar days from the date of enrollment, but in the future, LifeEnergy plans to extend a 20 to 30 day rescission period.
