I was scheduled to move into my new unit at Northern Cross on 06/04/2022. I received a call on 06/03/22 to advise that my apartment would not be ready until 06/10/22. I was offered to move into their smaller model unit until mine was ready the following week. The first issue is that I had movers coming the following day to move my items. I was offered a garage for temporary storage, but I would still end up paying the movers twice. The first charge was $262.76, which I was advised by leasing agent Scheradee, could possibly be waived given the circumstance. Management refused to compensate me. I moved into the model unit on 06/04/22, then was advised on 06/07/22 that my actual unit was ready for move-in, and I could take possession on 06/08/22 which I did. I rescheduled the movers, and paid them $245.50 for the second move. Upon move in, there was no door to the laundry room, ceiling fan had to be replaced in the living room, No ceiling fan in bedroom (standard in all units). The kitchen faucet nozzle had to be replaced, also bathroom faucet, the garbage disposal was broken and leaking water which was replaced. The carpet in the bedroom had obviously NOT been cleaned since walking with socks left pet hair residue. The biggest disaster occurred on 06/07 when I discovered that the A-5 model that I signed a contract on, was not the actual model that I was taking possession of. Management discovered an online posting error, and had to contact Corporate to update the posting. At this point, I was Extremely upset and asked to speak with the Manager, *************************, four times to voice my concerns. He never met with me. Instead he cut his lunch short to meet with an elder Caucasian resident, and left me standing in the lobby. I was later told that he asked what I wanted, but he never addressed me directly. I contacted their corporate office four times, and also submitted an online email complaint form, but no one has yet contacted me regarding my complaint.
