On January 31, 2023, BBB Serving North Central Texas requested that the business substantiate, modify or discontinue advertising claims on its website stating, "We'll pay your solar bill for 6 months”, Save up to 30% off your utility bills…”, “$0 Money Down”, and “Ranked #1”.
In addition to, “The U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory discovered that the mean sales price for homes went up $17,000 due to the installation of solar panels”.
Section 16 of the BBB Code of Advertising states, "If an advertisement of closed-end credit contains any of the following triggering terms, three specific disclosures must also be stated, clearly and conspicuously. The three disclosures are: The amount or percentage of the down payment; The terms of repayment; and The 'annual percentage rate,' using that term spelled out in full or the abbreviation 'APR.' If the rate may be increased after consummation of the credit transaction, that fact must be disclosed."
Section 28 of the BBB Code of Advertising also states, “Superlative statements in advertisements about the tangible qualities and performance values of a product or service
are objective claims for which the advertiser must possess substantiation as they can be based upon accepted standards or tests. As statements of fact, such claims, like ‘#1 in new car sales in the city,’ can be proved or disproved.”
Section 34 of the BBB Code of Advertising also states, “Claims relating to performance, energy savings, safety, efficacy or results for a product or service should be based on recent and competent testing or other objective data.”
While the business initially responded to our requests, as of June 1, 2023, the business has failed to substantiate, modify or discontinue all advertising claims in question.

My solar panel was approved by ****** ***************************** during the first week of Oct 2022. There seems to be a communication issue with the newly installed ************ solar panels which is NOT yet resolved! There is NO ETA or Resolution. ************ went ahead & withdrew the money from Mosaic | Connexus CU on 4 Oct 2022 without commissioning my solar panel for power generation.
We have made hundreds of calls to ************, by my solar panel is NOT yet commissioned. ************ was supposed resolved my issue by the second week of Oct 2022. In addition, there is a law suit going between the Marketing Team ******************************* where we have become the soft targets! We could use your help while the installation process started 6+ months back!
We have paid 3 installments already [next installment is due next week] while we wanted to close the loan right away. We are unnecessarily paying interest due to the mistake of ************ while we shouldn't be penalized for their delays. We must be compensated! ************ is NOT responding to emails or calls off late. Looks like they don't have certified professionals to resolve my issue & turn on our solar panels!
Just before the holidays, we were notified by their receptionist to have my Solar panel commissioned on 9 Jan ****, but no one came or called ** back to commission. No one seems to answer their phones or emails. we have attached all the relevant communications!
We have the following issues to be addressed on a war footing. It's been 6+ months since this Project was started! We want our issue to be resolved on priority & solar panel to be commissioned so that it can generate power. I am unable to reach the contact # ***** [Owner] direct. Appreciate if you can ask ***** to call me to resolve the issue on a war footing!
