    I booked a vacation July 10 through July 14 Upon arriving, the trash cans were full there were four of them three of them full with flies all around them, which were located directly underneath the deck. I was told someone was gonna come clean them. No one ever showed up the downstairs no remote for the TV. The ping-pong table paddles were broken and no handles And no net on the table as well. The TV downstairs no remote I was told they were going to bring one. No one came. The downstairs room air conditioning unit was messed up. We had to fix then finally after a day of complaining the maintenance man came and fixed it, but also in the bed we had ants in our bed on several occasions about these issues, I was offered $150 refund which I declined. I asked for at least one night refunded with all the issues we had. It has been four nights and I have not heard from anyone from the company. Keep telling me waiting to hear from the owners it is not take this many days to take here from the owner. Beach is not a good company to rent from several of their other property have similar reviews. Im very disappointed in the $3000 spent. I will never rent from box again I encourage others not to rent from them either

    Our stay was absolutely disgusting. The place was infested with roaches crawling on the floors, in the kitchen, and even inside our cooler bag. We had to throw out our food because they were getting into everything. It was filthy. The floors were so dirty, our socks turned black after about an hour of walking ********** of the bathrooms had severe water damage the floor was so soft it felt rotted underneath.The back door was broken, the patio furniture was busted, and the cushions were torn and moldy. This place is clearly neglected and unsafe.I contacted the company immediately and even sent photos of everything. I had to follow up multiple times just to get a response. They showed little to no effort to resolve anything, and eventually just ghosted us completely. No accountability, no resolution.This place should not be listed for rent. Its a health hazard, not a vacation home.

    Don't rent The Beach Box (***************) property in *********, **. The reviews online are not reflective of the property. It is falling apart. The floors are tearing and coming up. The sofa was broken but was replaced with a futon on the second day. The microwave was in an unusable condition. We had the maintenance person that delivered the futon take it when he left with the broken sofa. There is no dishwasher as stated on the property description and there is little to no counter space to place drying dishes. The bathroom has a lot of water damage and is so miniscule it's hard to move in there. The property is located down an alleyway that is missing the street sign and is next to a lot that looks deserted and is very overgrown and nasty. We even encountered a snake. I asked the property manager for a link to post a review but that request when unanswered. Just fair warning.

    I booked a BeachBox Vacation Rental at ************************************************************************* for a family getaway, expecting a clean, safe, and relaxing stay for my three sons and myself. What we encountered was a nightmare.From the moment we arrived around 7:00 PM on Friday, the house smelled terrible, had gnats flying around, and was clearly not cleaned beds had blonde hair, trash was everywhere, including alcohol cans, drug papers, cigarette butts, and the pool was not functioning as advertised. Ceiling fans didnt work, and overall, the home was in dangerous, unsanitary ************ midnight that same night, I developed a severe bacterial infection, chills, and fever. I was later diagnosed with:Facial and **** skin infection Strep throat Severe ear infection Autoimmune flare-up, worsened by stress and illness I called BeachBox management over 50 times, asking for help. I was told someone would return my call, and that Maintenance and the ************* would be sent. No one ever showed up. After days of being ignored, I finally received a call not to help but on Memorial Day telling me I needed to vacate the property. At the same time, a man in a Jeep was repeatedly driving onto the property, which frightened my children and me.This experience was traumatizing. My sons now say they never want to return to ********* again. I am appalled that BeachBox would leave a family in these unsafe and hazardous conditions, ignore over 50 calls for help, and then try to force us out without ************* currently filing a dispute with Discover and gathering documentation for further action. I urge anyone thinking of booking with BeachBox Vacation Rentals to seriously reconsider.This was not just poor service this was negligence and endangerment.

    The management company's handling of our stay was extremely unprofessional. Out of nowhere, they initiated an eviction without providing any proof or validation concerning who was on the premises. Despite the uncooperative management, the neighbors were friendly and accommodating. They were open to letting us use extra parking for our group, which was necessary due to the rain in ******* after a prom event. Although local police informed us about overflow parking availability, the management did not allow us this option and warned about BeachBox being difficult. To our dismay, the owners decided on an eviction, which was a major safety hazard for our group since we had been there all day. Moreover, they denied any refund and imposed an additional $850 fee. I advise future renters to thoroughly read the agreement, as certain clauses that weren't initially there seem to have been added. The most disappointing aspect is the management company's attitude. They responded with sarcasm and showed no willingness to listen or help, embodying the definition of unprofessionalism. I would strongly recommend considering other properties for a more secure and pleasant experience.

    We rented a house at **** ******* *** in Galveston through Beach Box before the storm Beryl hit. We traveled to Galveston for our vacation and asked beforehand if everything was ok since we heard about the storm coming in. We did not receive a response to our inquiry even though we were on our way there. Multiple emails were sent and Beach Box told us there were no delays with check-in and to continue travel to Galveston. No updates were given about the lack of power. An access code email was sent the day of the reservation as if all was well. When we arrived there was no electric power. The inside temperature is documented at 90 degrees. No one from Beach Box checked the integrity of the house before our arrival. The Septic system was flooded under the house and bubbled up sewage with each flush. We were unable to safely use the downstairs area, especially with small children and pets. The fence was completely blown down and strewn about the property. Garbage bags were strewn all over the yard, which we cleaned up ourselves and set out for trash pickup. We left 20 hours into the stay due to dangerous, unsanitary, and hazardous conditions. No attempt was made by Beach Box or owners to cancel our reservation or honestly answer our questions about coming. We were unable to make informed decisions and this put our family members at risk. Extensive video and picture evidence was taken and will be used in litigation, and credit card disputes, After numerous requests that Beach Box refund our money which was $1,506.75 they still refuse to do so without offering any explanation. This is not a business, but scam artists taking advantage of innocent people as has been so well illustrated in all the other similar complaints about Beach Box. They need to be closed down immediately.

    Beach Box is a horrible company. We booked a house that ended up during the Hurricane. We could not get to it due to evacuations and there was not power in the area. VRBO has a policy to refund under extenuating circumstances but Beach Box refused to refund. They said that we could pick other dates but when I tried to request the dates I was told never mind that they would not refund or let us change dates. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!! Do not rent anything through them. Look at all of the horrible reviews they have and book with someone else. I wish I had.

    One of their agents was interested in leasing my apartments. I suspected him to be subleasing other people’s properties under their banner. Beware of renting anything from them.

    DO NOT RENT FROM BEACH BOX!!! This company is a scam. 2413 Market St Galveston, TX is not their place of business. It is an empty old store front with an old window stating it was a diamond co.
    We paid a lot of money to rent a house with a pool. The house was dirty and pool was not working correctly. Beach Box will not return phone calls as promised or fix the problem. Eventually you will be ghosted by them. Please Please Please do your research on this company. Do not get scammed out of your vacation like we did.

    I am not one to bash businesses because of my line of work. I do my very best at giving companies multiple chances to do right, however, I cannot hold back! BeachBox Vacation Rentals has got to be the absolute worst company to book a rental through.
    Due to Hurricane Beryl, the entire city of Galveston went without power and had gone under a state of emergency. We reached out to the rental company because they had not contacted us, and asked their advice on how to proceed (since obviously we can't check in to a powerless/damaged/flooded home).
    Communication was absolutely 0 to none. After reaching out several times, we received no updates. Finally the company said they would move our check in to the following day and refunded 1 night. The next day came and per the city officials, they did not want tourists/visitors to come and the entire city was still experiencing major power outages. I reached out to the rental company and said to cancel us and provide a refund. At that point, responses from them stopped. Then the Extenuating Circumstance Policy came out by VRBO and stated that due to the hurricane and major outages, the host must provide a refund. I forwarded the email notification to this rental company and they refused, despite what the policy states. VRBO is now escalating the issue and said a refund is mandatory due to the policy so waiting on VRBO to contact the rental company and update us. This company is absolutely horrible and I have never wished bad on anyone, but hoping that their license to rent is suspended and all agencies drop them.
