    I rented a car and when I returned it, it had a small chip in the windshield. They charged me around $2700 to replace the windshield. My insurance company paid them around $1000 and now they are coming after me for the balance. The markup on this windshield is ridiculous and I will not be paying this. IDC is this stays on my report for the next 7 years i will not give in to this outrageous claim of $2700 for a windshield in a small size SUV. If I can give zero stars I would but its making give 1 star.

    Title: AVOID ACE RENT A CAR AT ALL COSTS!Rating: 1/5 stars (and that's being generous)I'm writing this review as a warning to others: DO NOT RENT FROM ACE RENT A CAR! They are dishonest, untrustworthy, and will take advantage of you at every turn.I recently rented a car from Ace and had the misfortune of dealing with their unethical business practices. Upon returning the vehicle, they claimed that I had caused a crack in the windshield (which I did not). They then proceeded to charge me $250 for the supposed damage.But that wasn't the end of it. They also went through my insurance company, trying to milk every ***** they could from me. And if that wasn't enough, they had the nerve to send me an additional charge of $771 after the fact.Their customer service is non-existent, and their staff is completely uncooperative. They will ignore your calls, emails, and attempts to resolve the issue. It's clear that they prioritize making a quick **** over providing decent ********** yourself a favor and steer clear of Ace Rent A Car. They are a shady operation that will take advantage of you at every opportunity. Take your business elsewhere and avoid the headache that comes with dealing with this unscrupulous company.UPDATE: I've tried to contact Ace multiple times to resolve this issue, but they continue to ignore me. It's clear that they're not interested in making things right.

    I rented a care from ********** company and was contacted through email over a week later saying there was damage to the vehicle I returned , when I know for certain there was not . Upon arrival the shuttle bus driver rushed my family and I onto the shuttle bus and told us to leave the car and keys where we pulled up and hurry onto the bus so that he could get us to to airport. A week later I receive a bogus ***** bill from this company stating there was damage to the vehicle. The break down was over 800$ in labor for a BOGUS dent claim. when I know we did physical damage to the car. I have yet to speak claim adjuster only through email and she wont take any of my calls or return them. This business needs to but SHUT DOWN due to FRAUDULENT and excessive greed to scam people out of insurance claims!!!!!!!!!! I have received multiple emails demanding pay out but I am unable to speak with anyone to resolve this issue after leaving voicemails to the woman over the claim. ACE RENTAL AND THIS BUSINESS ARE FRAUDULENTLY TAKING AdvantageOF THEIR CUSTOMERs for insurance claim and pay out purposes.

    I had the misfortune to rent a car with Ace Car rental 2 weeks ago. When I rented the car I made the mistake not to take a picture of the car or video being that i was tired because it was 2am. The next morning, I found a scratch on the back passenger door. I didn't worry to much about it because I paid an insurance daily rate in case the vehicle gets damaged or anything. Any way when I returned the vehicle I told the worker from Ace about the scratch, I had to make a little report explaining to them what happened. At the end she told me not to worry about it because I paid for the insurance and my deposit for the vehicle would be returned to me in 5 to 10 business days. Tell me how I get a email from Rockport Auto claim saying I owe them ******** for the damage of the vehicle when I paid an insurance for it, she says that the insurance covers only 1,000$ , they added ** a bunch of things in the calculation. I swear the scratch in not worth that amount, they are scammers I think . I will take this case to court if necessary and also put this in the news, they need to get investigated .

    I recently had the misfortune of renting a car from Ace Rent-A-Car in *************** *******. While it was parked in a parking lot, it was scratched on the front and rear quarter panels. Subsequently, I received a claim for damages of over $7000. To put this in perspective, that is roughly 25% of the current value of the car that I rented. This is when I was introduced to Rockport Auto Claims. The scratches to the vehicle were deep, but did not dent the metal. The damage claimed, included charges for under body work, tires, front and rear damage, etc. as if the car had been hit by another car in a collision. No photographic evidence was presented other than the scratches from the incident. Some of the photos showed pre-existing dents and scratches, and it was difficult to tell if the charges included repairing those as well. In addition, Rockport, assessed administrative fees, and other charges which were calculated as a percentage of the bodily damage, rather than as a fixed charge, giving them every incentive to assess the damage as high as possible. In other words, the administrative fee for a $5000 claim is 10 times higher than for a $500 claim, regardless of the fact that the work is the same. My insurer, **************** said that this was highly unusual, and Rockport never give me an explanation although I did ask why these charges were calculated this way. Rockports adjuster, ****** was both lazy and incompetent. Rather than deal with my insurer, she kept billing me, demanding payment for amounts that were still under consideration, but unpaid. This occurred on at least 3 occasions. Ultimately **************** paid the entire amount and I cant praise them enough for their support throughout this process. Rockport and Ace, work hand-in-hand, and rely on the fact that these large insurers will never take them to court to defend their claims, however, unreasonable.

    This is a horrible company. I rented from Economy Rental while in ******* on vacation. I was rear ended and the damage was minimal. After the insurance paid, they are sending me a bill for more physical damage, loss of use, diminished value and Admin fee of almost $3,000. I have called multiple times and left a messages and emails for *********************** the Assistant Manager and will not get a response. This company is price gouging and trying to scam for as much money as possible.

    I would give this 0 stars if I could. This process has take over 3 months and is still not settled because no one will talk on the phone. I was rear ended in ** after renting from Economy Rent a Car and the car had a small crack in the bumper that they are saying costs over $9,500 to fix!!!!I have been going back and forth via email for 50+ emails I have called 5 different lines and left voicemails with no reply. This company is a joke and should not be in business.

    They are with ACE Auto rental, aka ***************. They figured out that if they make claims without any basis, they get paid and no one goes after them. They bill customers for "hidden damages"They are scammers! They are supposed to be located in ******, **, *********************** (if it is the real name) is the person who pretends to be the insurance rep.Buyer be aware of these low lives!

    Wow reading these confirmed to me that we are not crazy! They literally have a scam going you can tell when reading up them. Our whole rental car experience was sketchy and this has made it worse. If I could attach the pictures here I would! Never had anything like this happen before. They are price gauging us on a teeny tiny little ding on the windshield which 1 we didnt do and 2 would absolutely not cost $1073 to fix!!! I never even noticed it at all the whole 5 days we drove it!! They wont even fix it I can almost guarantee that because the car had dents on it previously that they never fixed they will get the money and then do this again to someone else! Its a scam they are pulling and getting away with!! Ive also been digging into the adjuster they used and can find no licensing or information on them and the website looks almost fake! So far our insurance company says they are paying them because it isnt worth the hassle which is exactly what this company hopes for!! They need to be investigated badly!!!
