As a small business owner, I needed a POS system that was affordable but powerful, Piepay delivered exactly that.

Weve been using PiePay as our Clover processor for over a year and have been paying far more than what we were told. Before signing, we made it clear we would only switch if our overall POS costs went down. The REMOVEDassured us the only fees would be card-processing fees and told us not to worry about the contract details. That turned out to be false. We were told wed only pay transaction feeshigher than average, supposedly because they covered all Clover-related expenses. Instead, were being charged $799/month for equipment plus several hundred more in undisclosed software fees. Our contract states a flat rate of 3.80% + $0.05 per transaction with cash discounting. After reviewing every transaction and subtracting the $0.05 fee, our actual average rate has been around 4.15%. When questioned, the account manager blamed REMOVEDrate changes, which does not align with a fixed-rate agreement. The contract lists a $750 termination fee. When we attempted to cancel, PiePay instead quoted a random $450 cancellation fee and an outrageous $36,228.55 equipment buyout. The contract only lists that figure as an optional buyoutnot a mandatory termination requirement. For comparison, our previous Toast system (3 terminals, 4 handhelds, 1 KDS, 4 printers) cost us under $10,000 total.PiePay also claims ownership of our old Toast equipment as donated equipment, even though our contract shows the donation section left blank at our request. We made it clear we were not donating anything. The REMOVEDsimply offered to store the equipment, yet PiePay now refuses to return it.After months of trying to terminate the contract and retrieve our Toast hardware, they have stopped responding while continuing to bill us inflated processing, equipment, and software fees.We are now working with an attorney to pursue action for breach of contract, deceptive practices, treble damages, and felony theft of our Toast equipment.

Signed up with Go Free back in 2021 and have had nothing but issues. At first my salesman helped me out with getting some reimbursements from my previous processing company but not long after, extra charges were showing up on my statements so naturally I call to find out what they might be. Well getting ahold of anyone from this company and REMOVEDnear impossible. I'm at a point that I would just buy my way out of this contract but can I get ahold of anyone? Nope! I've since signed on with another processing company thinking they could get ahold of Go Free to get me out of the contract and finally I got an email from REMOVEDreplying to a customer service REMOVEDexplaining how he was going to give me a call to "retain" me. I never received a call, I replied to the email with no reply and I tried to call the number on his signature block and that number is not in service. Seems pretty shady to me! DO NOT sign on with this company... After extensive digging I have discovered they have now switched to Piepay so don't sign with them either.
