Im a 20 years old student with a job trying to get my first car. I went to Watson Auto Group with my Sister who put her name as well. I worked with who did not give me the option to look at more than 1 car. He told me it was the only car he had for me. As I was signing for the car he told me there was no warranty but assured me if something happened within a few days or weeks I could bring it to get looked at. I let them know within a few days the oil light was on and oil life was at 18 percent. They told me to reset the oil to see there was an oil change. The oil light went off but came back on and when off. I got the car checked before I drove to ******* and while on the way the oil light came on engine light and car shut off. I had the car towed and diagnosed and was told it the engine belt broke. I called Watson and they kept giving me excuses about the manager not being able to come to phone and he wouldnt call me back. Bank said nothing they can to and I have car with a blown engine after two weeks. No car and a bank loan. I was stranded 290 miles away from home. Im out of $1095 and soon to be bad debt. Its not fair. I am going to seek a lawyer but I wanted to file this complaint as well so they wont do this to anyone else. Its only right to give me another car and pick this car up from its destination and not take my money and refuse to help. Not good business men to not own up to this situation and try to make it right because they can get away with it. We told this customer to get us the unit we will gladly look at it . its a low unit with low miles on it. To be clear we dont have to do anything for these people they signed an as is and elected not to buy a warranty.
they did not like our answer the transfer quote we got was almost a $1000 we dont know what is wrong with it .... i could be something simple like a battery

I am rejecting this response because: 1. The man ******* never offered us an extended warranty, they told us there was no warranty after I signed the papers that he was ******* me to get through. 2 my mom asked why is there no warranty and ******* told us that if anything happened to come back and get the car to them they will fix it them selves we contacted with multiple problems and they did nothing to fix it this was within 3 days of getting the car a lady **** told me I have to get the light fixed out of my own money3 I got a 100 dollar diagnosis from ********************************* in ******* and they told me the timing chain is broke and they will have to tear apart the engine apart to replace it they said it would have to go to a shop and coast thousands to get fixed I shouldnt have to pay a thousand dollar down payment a thousand dollars to tow it home then pay my car note and insurance when I just got the car 2 weeks ago its not fair the car it broke down in ******* it cant be moved I have to find a way back home cause we were low on money yes it has low miles thats even more excuse for me to be able to drive it as much as I want

I am rejecting this response because: ******* the salesman waited until I got to this page and to tell me there was no warranty on the car. When he said that my mom asked him what if i drive off and something happens and said if something happens to the car with a few days or week to call and they will take care of it. Because he gave that implied warranty In signed the paper. My mom followed me home and my break light was out, i called the lot right away and ******* said to call on monday and he will have it looked at. by saturday the back tire was low, the tire had a slow leak which i got fixed. by sunday the oil light was on. I called back and spoke to someone on Monday and they told me to call ***** in the service department. My sister called and told ***** about the light, tire and oil light ***** insisted the car was serviced and the oil was changed. We told her the oil life was showing at 18 percent. She then said she would call back. She called me back and told me reset the oil button and I did it the oil life went to 100 but the oil light went off. I then drove to ******* to see my grandmother and as soon as I got down there the oi light came on, the check engine light came on and the car cut off in the middle of the street. We were broke down in a dangerous spot and was onside of the road for 3 hours waiting on a tow truck. If there was no intention on helping with these issues why wasnt I told no warranty as is when they thought it something minor? Now that its a big problem now you want to send copies of a warranty that was never extended. Thats a placement holder for a work around to scam someone. What good business man would try to get over on a customer? I didnt even get a choice ******* chose this car and told me there were no other options. He knew that I was young and didnt really know about these things so he took the opportunity to scam me. No one would be happy with this situation if it was them. I have been going to school, holding down a job since I was 16 and was proud to go and purchase a car on my own without the help of my parents and this is what I got. Again I put down $1000 on a car to drive for only two weeks, get stranded and told i would have to pay $1000 to get car back. Be out of a car and pay over $600 for payments and insurance on a car I cant drive. What part of this is okay? My sister put her name down to assist me and now both of our credit is going to be ruined because I am going to have to tell the bank to pick the car up. I am going to use every resource that I can to fight this and bring awareness to other people. Consumers has rights as well and I will find someone who will help me fight this.

I purchased a car through them at the beginning of February and before signing paperwork I mentioned dash lights being on that I was told would be fixed if I called *****. I tried calling ***** for weeks and no response. When I finally did, I was told it was because approval was never given. I contacted the owner **** Watson who promised me to get it fixed and I have still to get my vehicle fixed and I was also told to go to ********** and pay for the dash lights to be fixed myself. Watson Auto Group ask customers to lie to the banks for approval. They tell you amounts to tell the bank to get the sales to go through. The entire staff is rude. $1300 was spent with this dealer in November for a 2016 Jeep Compass and the Jeep was taken back twice due to the bank not approving and finalizing the deal. Watson Auto Group lied both times about what happened and have refused to speak with my grandmother regarding her refund for the $1300 deposit. *** never had to deal with a dealer where they let you take a car without guarantee that its yours. I can say my whole experience with this company was very unprofessional.Business Response

On 11/25/2023 when the car was returned Watson Auto Group advised my grandmother and I that the money would be returned due to the interview process with the bank being failed. Nothing was ever returned and Watson Auto Group refuses to take a call.

Watson Auto Group is responding saying no monthly payments were made when the complaint stated everything transpired in less than a month. The car was taken back and again, we were advised that the money would be returned because the interview process was failed. Watson Auto Group is trying their hardest to hold on to money for a vehicle that was never completely mine. I had NO financing bank, the auto agreement was voided because I couldnt get financing. The deposit was paid on the car but the deal didnt go through. The next step is a lawsuit, with this complaint as proof that Watson Auto Group continues to lie about their business dealings.

Bought a car from them. Had a light on dash panel. They tried to reset. Also clips on bumper were broken. Was told they would be fixed when I brought car in to have computer cluster replaced. Was then told work order time ran out. Spoke with owner several times and now will not return my call. Also Was charged for extended warranty which is useless and they will not return my call to refund amount to me. Cannot drive the car at speed limit or bumper will again fall off.Business Response

My dad, ***************************** and I are writing to file a complaint against Watson Auto group and their lender Resouce One regarding deception and fraud. We believe that our rights have been violated, and we seek your help in resolving this matter.On 8/3/23 we visited watson auto in hopes of getting a truck priced at $14,000, and I was informed that I was approved for it. However, once on the lot I was met with unexpected obstacles and misleading information.Despite providing check stubs as proof of income, the dealership didnt like that I did not put all my $ in the bank. This led to my approval being disapproved. I returned to the dealership with my dad. we were toldwe was approved for a car but notthetruck.Naturally I assumed the car was cheaper than the truck.. we were rushed because of 3 sales going on simultaneously resulting ininadequate attention . The vehicle they presented to me, a 2019 Altima with ******* miles cigarette ***** in the upholstery and badly needing a brake job.. As the contract was hurriedly being signed I looked for the terms but only found the payment amount of $463. I drove the car off the lot with one piece of paper for the tags It was two weeks later, when I requested the contract from the bank, that I discovered the contract revealed that we were charged $23,000 for the car.Notably, I was charged for an extended warranty worth $2,500, despite specifically declining it , the contract also indicated I made a $2,000 down payment when, I had not put any money down.My father, who has a credit score of 740, was subjected to an 8% rate Eight days after getting the car, I was rear ended ********************* accepted full liability for the accident and paid Resource One, slightly over $15,000, resource one says I still owe $7200 and they're not budging on any interest.Despite the evidence of deception and fraud Resource One has refused to address the discrepancies, . If you were not happy with the purchase you should have never signed. After the fact and after signing the AS IS the Sales Contract the Delivery and acceptance is not the time to bring it up. sounds to me that if the car had not been totaled then none of this would ever had come up. As far as the rates we cant help the rates RATES ARE HIGH right now. We dont set the rate. As far as the amount the insurance company paid WE HAVE NO CONTROL OF THAT.
THERE IS A PRODUCT CALLED GAP INSURANCE You signed a waiver saying you did not want to buy it.... we cant help that either
What we can do is sell you another vehicle and roll in as much of the deficiency as possible as long as the credit is still good.

I am rejecting this response because:I was never offer gap insurance and distinctly remember refusing the extended warranty yet I ended up with it anyway.
You are somewhat correct about if not for the accident we wouldn't be here. It was because of the accident that I had to have the bank send me the contract because I was sent away with only one piece of paper in my hand for the tags. Some of the papers I signed appeared to be almost blank but I was trusting the process and being rushed to do everything while the sales lady juggled 3 customers. Why didn't I leave from there with the contract? And how was it that I wasn't qualified for a $14,000 truck but I was qualified for a car that expensive never seen the sticker price and when I asked about it she said the car had been in ****************. And successfully avoided my question of how much the car was but I assumed because I was not eligible for a $14,000 truck that the car would be less than that the cigarette ***** in the interior made me think that that was so and also the mileage on the vehicle. We're here today because you are crooked, honestly that is my biggest complaint how was I able to be approved for a 20 something thousand dollar car and not approved for $14,000 truck? It makes no sense to me unless I was paying for a car that was less than $14,000

Please see attached SIGNED waiver form. GAP was offered and DECLINED. As far at the other unit that was less (the ***** one) no clue the miles or year. The credit unions are picky on what they will finance. years and miles will effect an approval. The truck I wanted was older, but it had a lot less mileage on it than the car that you sold me with at ******* miles on it already for an excess amount. The total price was never disclosed to us. Even when I asked your sales girl cleverly got around my question and just said that yes the car had been being serviced although I don't know what they serviced because it needed a brake job then you send me on my way with no contract And the only paper I ever saw with any kind of amount on it was the paper that said what my monthly payment would be and I was assuming that was gonna be on a three-year note bringing the price to 16 something which I thought is excessive, but I was willing to except because my daughter needed a car . I would've never agreed to five year note and paying that absurd amount with that many miles. I guess she knew that that's why the contract was withheld from SO did your girl just accidentally forget to send it with us?

04/20/2023- Bought car $1,000 down.07/02/2023- car went to shop due to engine. 07/10/2023- sent oil change receipt for warranty of motor. 07/18/2023- received a text informing me my motor was approved and have started looking for me a replacement. -Called to check on motor the Following week I was told by **** my motor was being expedited. -called back another day of that week to speak to **** to see if motor arrived since it was expedited. Wasnt able to speak to him so I spoke to *****, and she said no it wasnt even one found yet. Finally got to speak to **** about the motor situation and me paying car payment on 07/23/2023 which was 550. He said he will take care of it and dont worry about the car payment he will let ******* know.07/23/2023- 550 was taken out my account by car lot. 07/25/2023- called car lot to speak about payment taken out **** wasnt available to talk so I spoke to ******* she said she didnt know about that and that if its processed they cant reverse it. She transferred me to **** no answer, so I filed a dispute with bank. 07/25/2023 07/24/2023- got a ride to car lot to speak to **** once arrived with my brother front desk ***************** told me that **** was in a meeting to give it 10 15 minutes. Waited 20 25minutes then sat in lobby after trying to get a update. One of the front desk guys name ******************* in a conversation with me and my brother and so it went into words being exchanged. They told me to get out and that when car is ready **** will give me a call and that I would be getting a trespassing ticket as well. And I was quiet whole time. So police were called and **** finally came out and asked whats going on. I explained what happened and told him I was only waiting to speak about my car payment that he told me not to worry about. he said he dropped the ball and that he can not refund me my money. he said he would make sure next months payment is taken out and that he will make sure that **** the mechanic make sure my car is first priority and he will make sure he have it ready by that Friday no matter how late it was he will get it done.07/25/2023- I filed a dispute due to broken promises and for not having the car almost a month.-07/26/2023 received a text from ***** that motor had been received and would be calling me to go over times etc. she called eventually and said motor would be put in and that it would take a few days and I asked would it been like a week she said no not at all it dont take that long 08/01/2023- I gave it a few days and called and was told it would be fixed by Friday 08/04/2023 or latest that Monday 08/02/2023.08/02/2023- called checked on motor then was told by ***** that there where things that had to be replaced while fixing the motor so it would take a lil more time. Then ******* called back said that coils had to be replaced and that it could be done by Thursday 08/03/2023 but mechanic have to test drive it etc. then **** called said that he received a charge back to account and my account was now in default and that my car is ready, but I cant get my car till its back in fault. So, I told him that I didnt have any funds in my account, and I did file the dispute because he said I didnt have to pay. - but with my situation I need a car so Ima go ahead call bank and see.08/02/2023- called bank canceled claim. Was also told by banker that nothing has been approved and that it was still under research. I told them just cancel claim and they did I couldnt get a letter with proof they said could be up to 10 days. -Called **** back and told him what was said and that it was canceled, and I wont have proof could take up to 10 days. I asked him why I must be held accountable if I didnt have the car and the money wasnt disputed back to my account. -He stated I was in the situation Im in due to my choices and there isnt anything he can do about it.-08/04/2023- called **** and ***** to see if they have received any alerts with money being in, they account. ***** didnt know and she put me on with **** he stated no and that it could take a long time. And he then went on how he has things going on in office with his staff like a heart attack, one person has to stay home with kids and that he doesnt have time for it. And I was in the situation Im in due to me and that a repo letter is being sent out as we speak. And eventually hung up.-08/05/20223- got repo letter and it stated I must pay the remaining principle to get car. I called asked ***** she stated that it would be the total pay off amount. And she couldnt talk to me nay further due to a lawyer being involved. We hung up.-08/09/2023- have a recording) went to get belongings per paper I received by ****, and they had all my things bagged up and stole the contract from out of car. I asked for it and ***** stated it was in my stuff then he said I must wait to speak to ******* or **** and ***** was there and I told him she is here I seen her then he said she was busy and that can they email it to me or come back up there. This consumer bought a vehicle, the vehicle had a warranty. The motor went out, We filed a claim, the warranty company approved the claim. This process takes time. it does not happen overnight. She came to the dealership caused a HUGE scene. Her brother called the dealership and said " Im a bout to come up there and shoot the entire building up" This consumer said she was contacting a lawyer! I am rejecting this response because: now i see that he is making things up to cover his self and its really sad i just wanted to handle it like grown people. i never knew it would turn to you lying. there was not one gun brought into the situation. i did not once show Mr. ********************** any rage anger etc. i sat in cried in front of these people that hamulated me and made me feel worthless when all i was doing was being patient for a car that i was promised over and over i was getting back. then i did not once knew that him telling me i didn't have to worry about my car payment due to no car being in my presence. i paid my car payment faithfully no problems whatsoever . all i want to do is dispute this off my credit Mr. ********************** has won . he sold me a rigged up car that had a motor problem before me buying . i was told there was a new motor put in it 2 months before it broke down. and then here it is broken down again. i was sold a lemon due to me needing a second chance with getting a car due to past credit history. and i accept accountability and of me needing that 2nd chance etc. i was actually doing right on my end never missed a car payment etc. and he ****** me LITERALLY. looking at the reviews now this something he is known to do and i feel its very sad that he is getting away with this. there is also a police report showing what took place that day and also there are recordings as well. Mr. ********************** is a ABITUAL LIAR and god bless you.i would like to take my loss on my funds but i do not want this on my credit this is his fault and he know it.

I received several text messages from Watson auto group saying I was approved for zero down payment up to $30,000. I went in to the ******** location on Tuesday June 27th. Before running my credit, for which no permission was given, I was asked what payment I was looking for. I replied $250-300. I was told theres no way you could get a payment like that, $450 is the lowest you would get, cars are expensive. Yet this afternoon on their ******** page they are advertising cars with $112 and $200 payments. Again the statement was made before there was any credit pull.Business Response

I bought a car from this company in April. My salesperson was "******" he was very nice to me while selling me the car but of course they are, they are trying to feed their pockets. The owner's name is ******************************* whom I had not met until the whole ordeal went left. I needed a car because mine broke down and I had different side jobs and obligations that required me to have a car. I got approved for a white 2018 ******* Tuscon. The car looked nice from the outside looking in, but I was yet to discover it was sold as a bomb just waiting to explode. I got approved for their Zero down program they have which I didn't find out until I was signing the paperwork that its a lie " They want you to lie to the bank saying you put a certain amount of money down that you never did actually put down" They say they cover that amount. Anyways due to my situation I signed the paperwork. Little did I know in less than 4 months this was going to cost me. ****** told me that they just got this car in and it hadn't even been detailed so they were doing that while I signed the paperwork. It never dawned on me to ask did they even check the car out to make sure its a good car, and ****** did tell me also that all the fluids were checked and redone in the car so I trusted them to already have done that because the car was sold as is. But you can't legally sell a piece of c*** and it's financed... Yes the car was financed for $22K.... Anyways I am driving minding my business on the highway, less than 4 months later and the engine blows on the car.... Now I just bought this car and this happens. I take it to a shop the next day and the shop guy tells me yea that doesn't sound good sound like a knock in the lower engine... Now anyone knows in their right mind no one can destroy an engine in a car in less than 4 months. I called Watson Auto Group and spoke to the owner ******************************* and he told me to come down there and they would take care of it... LIE #1, i went down their and filled out another application and they ran my credit SEVERAL TIMES again... Now im wondering why they are doing this because what should have been done was they should have either fixed the car or traded me out of it. NOPE. they gave me the biggest run around for ************************ stopped being the nice guy he was when he sold me the car, He told me there was nothing they can do for me. After speaking to the owner ******************************* several times he stated they had approval for me. but that's not what ****** kept saying, Again **** told me to only deal with him...I did, but then **** stopped dealing with me, Id call and ask for him and every time they would say he's busy can he call you back NEVER ONCE GOT A CALL BACK... Now I'm out of that car AND the jobs that I was working because to do those you need transportation...The finance company stopped responding and everything. It was financed through PRESTIGE... The absolute worst experience of my life came from Watson Auto group. I have contacted lawyers to assist with my claim since **** and ****** and Prestige have stopped contacting me. This is HORRIBLE BUSINESS... I would advise no one to buy a car from them. Definitely deceptive practices and shady individuals. They need to fix this situation, but I'm still proceeding legally. I had a lawyer serve them with a Demand letter and ******* calls me and leaves a message on my voicemail stating " The owner got some letter from a fake attorney" Who does business like this. I purchased a vehicle from them on 9/16/2022 @ the 28th street location. When purchasing the vehicle the power steering engine was out and I was promised it would be scheduled for service to fix. That never happened. TWO weeks into having the vehicle all of the electric started going out. While driving the speedometer and everything would drop to 0, the running lights or license plate light wouldn't work even after replacing the bulbs. The right tail light kept getting so hot and bust and fuse to the car to the point I was replacing it at least twice a week. The catalytic converter , exhaust, water pump reservoir and radiator were all next to go within days of each other. The water hose got so hot it busted and melted to the engine. Once again I was contacting ***** and another guy to report the problems always with the promise of a call back to schedule for service. The last straw was bringing the car home from a mechanic looking at it and the cv axel broke off completely and me and my 5yr old ended up in a ditch because I couldn't steer. ******* is the worst when it comes to customer service. She tells me everyday to call back and finally just admitted while lying about how long I have had the car that they didn't know what i expected out of them, she stated I had the car 2 months when the 2nd payment isn't even due yet so how? She then told me to shut up. **** watson also promised my husband a call back himself for 2 days. ***** lied & said their tow truck never picked up the car that they do infact have and i have kept record of every call and i recorded calls because I have dealt with shady lots before. I now have to take other actions just to get them to do the right thing. I am also contacting state licensing. Their own tow truck driver admitted what a pos **** and his company are while towing the vehicle from my yard. I called asking for my file for my lawyer and 30minutes later **** called to "fix" it & told me he would call me right back and never did.Business Response

the first we heard of anything wrong was when their lender called to collect the payment from the borrower. Prior to this we had no knowledge. we as a dealership had NO OBLIGATION to fix the unit the customer bought it as-is
However This customer had an issue with the amount of time that it would take to order the parts. They called me a mother f***** and said they were hiring a lawyer. We had every intention to fix the car we could not do it all in a day

I am rejecting this response because:I have proof from the man who sold me the car they were supposed to be getting it in for repairs and never would return a call. ****** or ***** whoever runs that department is a liar, she kept telling me her mechanic was not in and every day it was an excuse. I recorded EVERY phone call including where ***** and ***** was telling me it was going to be scheduled for service long before my first payment was due. I sure did call them that because she told me I needed to shut up. They are a shady business. I was told **** wouldn't be in for hours one day and miraculously he called me 15mins later after being told I was hiring a lawyer. They NEVER told me they were ordering parts. Again I have all of my conversations recorded with everyone I spoke to as well as cameras in my home with time stamps of when I would leave messages and speak to someone regarding issues. I have been emailing for a month now for the papers to My car for my lawyer and they will not send them over but also claim I can't be handed them in office they have to be emailed. They can either return my $500 or I'm continuing with the suing process it's as simple as that. You can tell how they don't care it took them a month to respond to the BBB after multiple attempts to contact them.

If youre not willing to make it right then I have no choice but to take you to court. Say you will make it right and return my money or at least 300 of it and it ends. I got a 2014 ***** CX-9 in Apart, 2022. Since then, Ive had to replace 1 window regulators and need to get another window regulator fixed and the power steering pump plus I have an oil leak. I called Watson and spoke with a rep from the shop they have and he said he charges $100 an hour and send people to a **************. She bought this car "as is" 6 months ago. She did NOT buy a warranty. WE OFFER WARRANTIES TO EVERY CUSTOMER.
Not all of our locations have service centers, Our service center charges $100 to dia the problem. IF she wants to trade her vehicle she can. She can trade at anytime. She can bring to us, the people who helped her get her financing and re-establishing her credit.
I work out of the store on ****** BUT any of our locations can help her.

I am rejecting this response because:I was never offered a warranty. I was on the verge of walking out and the sales guy did everything he could to keep me there except offer a warranty. My dad and I told him that the windshield needed to be replaced and also there. Was an alignment isnt but he was just trying to fix the windshield and blew off the alignment issue just like he is trying to blow off the issues the car is having now. If I was offered a warranty dont you think I wouldve token it? If I trade it in how would that affect my current payments?
