Daybreak came in and sold me and my family a dream and a bunch of lies. They told a quit a few things that sold ** on the system 1. That it would save us money.( it didnt)2. They would add more panels as needed 3. They would move the system if we moved 4. Guarantee on any leaks from installation.(that never happened). Lastly they told use there was a warranty and there would be someone there to answer ANY questions we had. They just got our rebate from our taxes for having solar that year and just vanished! The system NEVER worked but we still have to pay for it.About 2/3 months later, we tired to call them back because we didnt really notice any difference in our bill. No one would give us a call back. We didnt think anything of if at first, till one of the number was not in service anymore.. Then slowly all were cut off and we got worried. A sales person from Daybreak solar came to our home and told us that if we go solar we would not have a electric bill anymore, and would be able to sell our extra electricity back to our electric Corp. They would move our solar system once for free. Also, told us that we would get a tax refund so we could pay our solar loan off. We purchased it 01-27-21 took them about 3 months to get installed. And it never worked our elec. Bill before the solar was running about ****** to ****** after solar it was ****** plus we where having to pay ****** solar loan payment we called and called no help our power company told us that the solar panels they sold us would no generate but 30% power if where lucky. We sent them a certified letter explaining that our system was not working along with what the power company plans for what we need. No response. And still paying the solar loan. We later we decided to move and the new owners did not want the solar. So we started calling Daybreak solar so we could have them removed for the new owners. We finally got a hold of Becca and she told us we would gave to pay ******* to have our solar panels removed. Because it wasnot in the contact that we did not get a copy of until March of 2023. Also, the guy that took them down said that the wiring was not heavy enough to run the system thats why it did work his name was ****. We had to put them in storage and pay a storage bill and still pay the solar loan payment. We now have a house and tried to call to get them reinstalled no answer and also was told it would cost another ******* when we need them to be reinstalled. Now they our sitting in our shop and we are still paying solar payment. I'm done with this company they can come get their panels and cancel our solar payment loan. I feel like they like to take advantage of the elderly that are on fixed income. This should be against the law and they need to reimburse everyone that they have hung out to dry our lawmakers need to stop them.Initial Complaint

In March/April 2022, the panels were installed on the roof. Problems were experienced with roof leaks and ceiling damage as the onset of rainy season began. At this point a call was made to Rep. ********************** He contacted a maintenance person who came out in the next day. I still continue to have problems with the roof leaking and solar Panels not working properly. Due to the malfunction of the Solar Panels My Electric bill was soaring out of control each month. I am continuing to be harrassed by ************************ who is requesting that I make Monthly Payments $235 for Solar Panels that are not working or benefiting me.Initial Complaint

I purchased solar panels in October of 2022. They were installed and functioning within a few months. The sales associate calculated the number of panels I would need to generate enough energy for my house. I noticed once the panels started working that they were only generating about $20 each month, far less than what is needed for my house. On my December 2023 electricity statement, the panels generated no electricity. I have called, left messages, emailed, and contacted the installers directly for months now and have not heard back from Daybreak Solar. I am on the hook paying at $32,000 loan for panels that are not generating any money.Initial Complaint

Solar panels were installed around a year ago. They never worked. Have attempted to reach out to the company with no response back. I have gone to the City for assistance but they said they can not service the solar panels. The solar panels were supposed to be covered by a warranty, but I can not get anyone from the company to come out to service them. We were told that the solar panels would save us money on our monthly electric bill of $312.00 by the Daybreak salesperson. Now we have an electric bill that saves about $40.00 PLUS a $296.68 LOAN payment. We were never told that there would be a loan with another company we were not told about anyone else being involved in this transaction. The panels were supposed to keep on our electricity on during a power outage, which they do not. The battery we need for this is an addition is $16,000. We have only gotten one response to our problems by refusing to make a payment until we heard from Daybreak. The loan company then called Daybreak asking them to call us. We were PROMISED by Daybreak that our problems would be solved, the panels moved, and the system checked. A representative was sent out to discuss the relocation of the panels and we were told that the installation crew would be here within two weeks to relocate them. That was over a year ago. After that interaction we have been unable to reach any of the five employees at Daybreak. Total misrepresentation of this whole transaction.Initial Complaint

Im writing on behalf of my parents who have been trying to contact daybreak solar and goodleap due to false advertisement, not following the contract as specified, and elderly exploitation. A representative by the name of *********************, who was supposedly fired, sold my parents a faulty service which still does not work today during an extremely sensitive time and not only did they not explain everything they did not answer their calls nor did they follow all procedures as written in their paperwork. My parents have received several letters from their HOA and they still pay both an electricity bill and goodleap. My parents is requesting a refund for the each electricity bill and for everything to be done correctly and the system Turned on or to void the contract. They said they will reimburse any money paid to the electricity bill but havent
