On 04/19/2022 I purchased a car from Alfa Romeo of Fort Worth, Yesterday I went to a dealership near me to try and sell my car, When the dealer checked car Vin number they told me the car was in an accident air bags deployed and structure damage, The reason for my complaint is that Alfa Romeo of Fort Worth never disclosed that the car was involved in an accident and I was charged full price for the car.Initial Complaint

I bought the car on 04/21/23. At the time, ****, our sales rep and the manager, ****, had informed me that the mats for the floor of the car as well as the cargo net for the car were on back order and they were not expecting another shipment for another couple of months. I understood the situation and asked them to contact me when the items were to come in. After a couple of months, I contacted them again in June of 2023 asking for an update as well as any additional steps I could do to help with the ordering process. ****, once again, informed me that the mats were on back over and would not be in for a while. I was a little frustrated but understood the situation and contacted customer service for Alfa ********************** ***. The service people hung up on me multiple times, four times to be exact during that initial contact, with one rep being so rude as to call me me incompetent for not knowing the item, numbers. I asked if I could give the make and year for the car and she refused and hung up on me. I contacted the dealership again and asked for the item numbers but no one was able to give me the number so I left it as such and waited patiently once again. I called again on October 2023 to the dealership in hopes for some good news, however I was told, once again, to wait cause the items were still on back order. At this point I was beyond frustrated and once again tried to contact Alfa Romeo USA to no avail. So once again, I waited patiently for an update. I called once more to the dealership on 03/15/24, only to find out that the dealership was permanently closed. I called Alfa Romeo USA for assistance for this situation and the rep I spoke to was named ******. He informed me that he would open up a case, incident # ********, and assistance me with my missing items that were paid for. The following Monday, 03/18, ****** called me back, stating that the case was close for there was nothing to prove that I had purchase the mats. When I asked then how did he know I bought them and how was he able to tell me that they were indeed purchased on 04/21/23 when I spoke to him on 03/15, he backtracked and stated the items were standard for the car. They are not standard, otherwise I would not have had to wait for the items if they were standard to the car. Afterwards, ****** informed me to call other Alfa Romeo dealerships to see if they would honor the purchase that I made with the Fort Worth dealership. While I thought that was ridiculous I still did what was suggested. I called the Plano Alfa Romeo dealership and was hung up on 12 times. When I was able to get a hold of someone, they were the sales manager ********, the service manager ** and the parts manager RJ, they all told me that there was nothing they could do and hung up on me. I then called the ***** location and was able to get a hold of a sales rep named ***, who informed me that there were a lot of consumers who were in the same predicament as we were in, however there was nothing that could be done since they didnt have the files or records of the Fort Worth dealership. *** then transferred me the service and parts manager ****, who was able to break down the discrepancies on why Alfa Romeo USA was not able to give me the parts that were owed to me. On 03/20, as a last attempt to contact a deal ship, I contacted the Woodlands dealership. I spoke to a parts rep named *******, who was only able to offer me the mats at a discounted price. I then found Alfa Romeos social media accounts for Fort Worth and the USA branch and reached out to them via ********* Instagram and X (formerly known as *********Business Response

To whom it may concern
I am responding to ********. The customer is complaining that when they purchased a vehicle from Alfa Romeo of Fort Worth in April of 2023 we were not able to provide them the all season mats and cargo net that went with the vehicle at that time since they were on national back order. They also complain that they have been unable to reach anyone about this from Stellantis (The owner of the Alfa Romeo brand) or any of the dealers still associated with Alfa Romeo.
Unfortunately, the Alfa Romeo of Fort Worth store did close down on December 31st 2023 and severed all ties to Stellantis (Alfa Romeo) at that time. Additionally we were instructed to tell customers to contact them directly for any parts or repairs that were outstanding after that date as part of the closure of the site.
The good news though is that while the Alfa Romeo store is closed we did retain a few parts that were received late and after talking to our former Parts Director we do have a single set of All weather mats for the Stelvio available for the customer to have. Though that is all that we have retained I can offer those for the customer to have as a sign of good faith despite no longer being in business. I can have them ready for pick up should the customer wish. Please let me know if there is any further assistance I can be, with the understanding that we have no ties to Alfa Romeo any longer and the business has closed.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.I would also like to add that we are still missing the nets and while we would happily accept the offer, is there anyway to delivery the set to us since it would an hour drive to the former location or have it be picked up at a closer location to me

I purchased a vehicle in the fall of 2023. At which time I also purchased gap, and an extended warranty. When the vehicle was delivered to me (in ******* 2 hours from dealership) I didn't receive a copy of contract or info concerning warranty or GAP. I've been trying to contact the dealership for months to cancel both plans because I refinanced the vehicle with personal bank. They never returned my calls or emails. Tried to call today and I find out the dealership is "permanently closed". I called the ******************* office and they can't do anything for me. Without the help of the BBB I will be out close to $6K.Business Response

I purchased an Alfa Romeo Giulia from Alfa Romeo of FT. Worth in June 2023.I put $12000 down and financed $24,000.I was assured the car was "thoroughly" inspected for any issues, to include the tires. Even had them double check, which I suspect they just pulled the car around back and didn't look at anything.1 month after purchase, thermostat and major coolant system components failed. I needed this car for military travel and was unable to do so, finding alternative travel caused a great hardship on me and my family. The car had to be towed to a specialty shop ($80) for repairs as there are no dealerships that can do the work in ********. Repairs were $1600 out of pocket with nothing covered by the "warranty" they sold me with the car.On 12/08/2023 I had to get new tires as well. This was something I specifically asked about at the dealership, and was assured they near new tires. I kept having air pressure issues even adjusting for the cold weather. All 4 tires were below recommended safe driving tread levels, with one of them having a leak. I purchased 4 new tires for $1162.50 Now, 2 weeks later, my car is back in the shop, undrivable. There is a Battery issue, another coolant hose is leaking, Oil sensor needs replaced,And a few spark plugs are bad, causing engine misfires in 2 cylinders, and unknown other damages. The total for these repairs is quoted at $2500, for a total of $5,342.50 dollars in maintenance and repairs on a car I've had less than a year. When other issues arise, since it is plain the vehicle is a lemon and a money pit, I can't afford to keep spending this kind of money every couple of months. I need a reliable car for military travel in the Air Force Reserves, my civilian job where I travel 50 miles a day, and my children's school and athletic events. This car is not reliable.Business Response

*************** to complaint ********, **************** complains that he purchased a used 2018 Alfa Romeo Guilia with almost ****** miles on it; from Alfa Romeo of Fort Worth in June of 2023. He states that the vehicle had several problems after the purchase and he had to perform more repairs than he was expecting. He also complains that his tires went bad in less than 6 months of ownership of the vehicle.
At the time of purchase the vehicle had gone through a safety and emissions inspection and all functional operations of the vehicle were in working order. **************** purchased a service contract and a tire/wheel service contract. The tire contract should have been able to help **************** with the cost of the tires or at least advised him on how to proceed. The other repairs on the vehicle do not seem extreme given the age and mileage on the vehicle. The vehicle was also sold AS-IS and repeated issues should be addressed with the first repair facility. I would urge **************** to contact their quality guard vehicle service contract support and the support for his wheel and tire contract to get an idea of what services he can take advantage of.Thank You

I originally purchased my car (pre-owned certified) on Nov 26, 2022. I brought it in 2 weeks later because my vehicle was shaking profusely when I went over 60 mph. They balanced, and conducted an alignment. I brought it in again today, not even 2 months later because my brakes were squeaking. I have only put ***** miles on my vehicle. They expressed my rotors were warped, and they WERE NOT going to repair my brakes due to " normal" wear-and-tear. It is not normal to need brake rotors resurfaced after ***** miles of operation . Also there was a 800 mile difference between when the original owner sold the car, and when I bought the car. No one, and I mean no one was willing to work with me. They deemed my car unsafe to drive, yet they let me drive away and knowing it could potentially be their mistake. I was met with resistance and condescending tones. I was passed around from one dept, to another with no remedy. They also stated they did not have a service manager onsite, which I find to be ridiculous. I have had nothing but bad experiences from this dealership since day one. I am unhappy with their lack of concern, empathy, and professionalism. I am not asking for a hand out, I am asking for a remedy.Business Response

To Whom it may concern
I am replying to complaint 18698973. **************** complains that just after **** miles she needed to have her brakes replaced and rotors resurfaced. She also complains that no one in the dealership is willing to work with or talk to her.
When receiving this complaint I referred the issue to our ************* representative; *************************. She was able to contact **************** and informed me as to the nature of their conversation and her research on the subject. ******* found that the brakes and rotors were both checked upon the certification process. Both parts met the standards for CPO (Certified Pre-owned) at the time of certification. While **************** is correct that brand new brake pads would typically last more than **** miles these were not "new" and as stated before were inside the manufacturer specifications of the vehicle. Other factors of driving habits and driving style would play a role in damping the life of a wearable part like brakes. At the time ******* was not able to authorize the replacement of the brakes and rotors.
I have reviewed the notes from both ******* and the original CPO inspection. The vehicle was definitely inside the guidelines provided to us by the manufacturer yet we also do have a customer in a car that she does not feel comfortable driving. What we can do is offer the *************** to replace/resurface the rotors and replace the brake pads of the vehicle for wholesale cost of parts and labor.
I have informed ******* of the offer and will ask her to reach out to **************** immediately.

I have been dealing with extreme unprofessionalism at the Alfa Romeo Ft Worth location. I am in need of some documents to close out my GAP insurance claim being that I was in an accident on July 26, 2022, but my calls, voicemails, and emails have gone unanswered for 2 weeks. I had to go into the branch at one point in order to obtain my gap insurance policy because my emails were not getting any responses. I am now relocated in Fl, therefore I am unable to go into the Ft. Worth location. Furthermore, even if I was still in Tx there is no reason I should be inconvenienced due to unqualified staff and managers at that specific branch. I had an accident in July, and I am needing the **** or **** emailed as well as the signed cancellation of the vehicle service contract. Yesterday, after I threatened to file complaint, I started to receive correspondence. Their negligence has caused my credit report to take a ding due to my lien holder reporting a late payment. There would not have been a late payment had Alfa Romeo handled this situation promptly, especially since my claim was filed in July. I was also informed today by my lien holder that my GAP insurance will not cover any interest or past due late payments, therefore I am required to post payment even though I signed up for GAP when I purchased my car from this branch. This information was not disclosed to me at the time of purchase. Instead, when I went in to obtain my GAP insurance, I was informed that GAP would indeed cover past due amounts. Not only have I been dealing with unprofessionalism, but I was also given incorrect information which caused me to miss payment on a totaled car due to the information that was provided per Alfa Romeo Ft. Worth. Due to the misinformation and the failed communication to take this matter seriously, I am asking for Alfa Romeo Ft Worth to reimburse me for the current due, past due, and late fees accrued. There would be no payment needed from me had they acted promptly. $2095.16Business Response
